Chapter 32: Arrosa's Secret Revealed

3rd Person's POV

"Izayoi?" Tsuyo asked.

No response.

"Izayoi wake-up!" Tsuyo said as he tried to shake her awake. She wouldn't open her eyes. Tsuyo's eyes began to water up. He had never cried before in his life and this was to be his first. "Izayoi!" he sobbed into her chest.

He did lift his head up after a few seconds of crying to look at Iziyaoi. She was so beautiful. He gave her a kiss on the lips, hoping she would wake-up........Izayoi didn't though.

"Izzy?" Tsuyo heard a voice from behind say.

Tsuyo turned to see that Kagome was free from Naraku's control. Tears gathered in the eyes of the priestess as she realized what she had done. "Izayoi!" she cried as she sank to her knees. "What have I done?"

"Izayoi!" a new voice shouted from the other side. Tsuyo saw Inuyasha, also no longer under Naraku's control, running to his daughter. He pushed Tsuyo away from his daughter and looked at his only child. There were tears in Inuyasha's eyes. "Izayoi, I'm sorry." he sobbed. "I couldn't protect you. I let you die, just like Kikyo."

Inuyasha then turned his attention to Naraku. "Naraku!" he shouted as he charged for the evil demon.

Naraku only smirked before snapping his fingers, making Inuyasha stop like an obedient soldier. Kagome also was placed under Naraku's control once again. "Now kill Tsuyo." Naraku ordered.

The two turned to the young wolf demon and prepared to attack him. Tsuyo got into a defensive stance and prepared himself. However, sacred arrows came by and caught everyone's attention. "Naraku." Arrosa said from the top of one of the walls with the others right by her side.

They all went to the ground, where Shippo was the first to notice Izayoi. "Guys, look." he said.

They looked to see their friend on the ground, not moving at all.

"Is she-" Kayuma tried to ask.

"I'll take care of her." Arrosa told the others as she went to Izayoi. She got down on her hands and knees and looked at the arrow.

"Kill them." Naraku ordered.

Inuyasha and Kagome were going to charge in but Tsuyo, Ayuma, Kayuma, Mochigo and Shippo blocked their path. "Hurry Arrosa." Ayuma said.

Arrosa nodded and looked over Izayoi's wounds on her body. She saw arrow that was in Izayoi's side and knew what to do. Arrosa had a tight grip on the arrow and slowly dislodged it from Izayoi's side. As soon as the arrow came out, Izayoi began to move once more.

Slowly, the half-breed sat up and rubbed her eyes. "What happened?" Izayoi yawned.

Ayuma, Kayuma, Mochigo, Shippo and Tsuyo had smiles come to their faces.

"The arrow had some form of a sleep spell, making you seem dead," Arrosa explained. "You're lucky that it wasn't a real arrow."

Naraku growled with anger. With that, he disappeared with Inuyasha and Kagome in a huge gust of wind. However, he left a little message behind in the wind; "Arrosa, you haven't told them who you really are, have you?"

When the wind died down, everyone, except Arrosa, had confused looks on their faces. "What did he say?" Mochigo asked.

"What was he talking about Arrosa?" Izayoi asked as she looked at the young woman.

Arrosa sighed. She knew she was going to have to tell everyone the truth sooner or later. "Follow me, and I'll tell you."

Izayoi's POV

Arrosa led the way out of the castle and towards and empty field. The whole time we were walking, Tsuyo had a tight grip on my hand. I squeezed it in reassurance.

When we all sat down, I noticed Arrosa's glum look. Arrosa sighed before she began to speak; "The truth is, that I am not fully human. I am, a half-demon." We all gasped. Arrosa then revealed a small necklace around her neck. "This necklace locks the demon blood in me away. You see, the demon half of me is too powerful to control."

"So then, your Mom was a priestess and your dad was-" I began.

"Actually, my Father is a half-demon." Arrosa interrupted.

"Huh?" we all questioned.

"You mean, he was a half-demon?" Ayuma asked.

"He is." Arrosa answered.

"Who exactly is your Father?" Mochigo asked.

Arrosa sighed. She didn't speak for a minute. Then she whispered, "My Father.....is......Naraku."

We all gasped in shock. Arrosa, the girl who hated Naraku with a passion, was his daughter?!

"N-N-N-Naraku, is your-" Kayuma started.

Arrosa nodded. "He is my Father. But, I refuse to call him that. No Father would kill my own Mother the way he did."

"So, you've never really told us about your Mother. Who was she?" I asked.

Again, Arrosa sighed. "..........Kikyo."

If I wasn't in shock before, I definitely was now. Kikyo and Naraku?! There was just no way! What was next? Arrosa saying she and I were cousins or something?!

"When my Mother was captured by Naraku, the human heart that still yearned for her caused Naraku to.......let's just say that after her escape, my Mother found out she was pregnant with me."

"But it doesn't make sense," Shippo said. "Kikyo never looked like she was pregnant."

"That was because she was the living dead. She gave birth to me after you thought she ascended. What she was really doing was going into hiding. Mother gave birth to me and for several years, she took care of me."

Arrosa's Memory

A 8-year old Arrosa helped hang the laundry with her Mother. "Mother, after this, would you like some help making dinner?" Arrosa asked.

Kikyo smiled at her daughter. "That would be most helpful. Thank you Arrosa." Kikyo said.

Suddenly, there was an evil laughter that filled the air. Arrosa became frightened and ran to her Mother's side. "Mother, I'm scared." Arrosa squeaked.

"It's all right Arrosa," Kikyo said. "It'll be okay."

Kikyo reached for her arrows and then made Arrosa hide in the small hut that the two had shared. "Who's there?" Kikyo demanded to know.

Before an answer came, a tentacle came from the shadows and struck Kikyo right at the heart. "Mother no!" Arrosa cried.

Kikyo collapsed to the ground and held a hand to her bleeding chest. That's when Naraku appeared from the shadows. "N-naraku." Kikyo growled. "How are you still alive?"

"That's the thing Kikyo, I'm not alive," Naraku spoke. "This form is just merely flesh that I'm borrowing. I need the sacred jewel in order to regain my true form." Naraku then looked over at Arrosa, who was shaking in fear. When he tried to use one of his tentacles to reach Arrosa, a strong barrier stopped him. "It appears that this child is stronger than yours Kikyo."

"Leave now!" Arrosa shouted.

Naraku smirked. "Fine, I shall leave." With that, Naraku disappeared.

When he was gone, Arrosa ran to her Mother's side. "Mother?"

Kikyo looked he daughter with tears in her eyes. "Arrosa, I wish you didn't have to see this." Kikyo told her child. "Arrosa, that man....his name is Naraku.......He is your Father."

"What?" Arrosa asked. "Then why did he attack you?"

The priestess coughed up blood. "He is.....evil........You must....stop him...."

"Mother."

"Arrosa......I'm sorry....that I have to leave you.....but my sweet daughter, I believe in you."

Once Kikyo was finished speaking, she took one last breathe of air before passing away.

End of Memory

Arrosa had tears running down her face after she had finished her story. "After my Mother's death, I learned to become a priestess and ever since then my only goal has been to find Naraku and kill him." Arrosa said as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

I felt so bad for her. Arrosa had been through a lot. I went over to Arrosa and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Arrosa, why don't you travel with us?" I asked. Arrosa looked up at me with confusion. "We're all after Naraku so why not come with us?"

"You'd let me come with you?" Arrosa asked.

We all nodded.

For the first time since I met Arrosa, I saw a small smile on her face. "Thank you." she whispered.

"I should get back to the mountains." Tsuyo told me when morning came.

"Okay, just be careful." I said.

Tsuyo smirked. "You be careful too." He then gave me a quick peck on the cheek before running off to the mountains. My heart ponded in my chest as I watched him disappear from sight. I love Tsuyo. And I guess, he loves me right back.
