Epilogue

Happy Birthday, Taki. ^-^

--

She spinned around, the white dress she wore trailing her every move. Grinning, she looked into the mirror and gripped the edges of her dress, pulling it out to the sides and smoothing it out.

The rain finally stopped that morning. Everyone was worried that they would have to postpone the wedding, but everything was fine now.

"Miss, are you ready?"

She turned around, and couldn't help but smile wide at the young lady who was urging her onto the aisle.

"Coming!" she chirped, and grabbed hold of the flowers.

She walked onto the aisle, smiling so much she thought her jaw would break off. She nervously looked behind her. Where was the bride?

Meanwhile Taki was in a nervous breakdown. "All of Konoha is watching," she mumbled to herself over and over.

She wore a gorgeous dress that had small pearls litter the bottom and make swirling patterns further up it. She wore a little makeup, nothing more than a little foundation and powder.

The long train behind her dragged everywhere she paced, like Elsa before becoming queen.

Kyo had already gone out into the aisle, seeing as she was her flower girl. She wished she had Kyo's confidence, and also her constant smile.

"Taki," a soft voice sounded, and recognizing who it was, she looked up.

Deidara.

He has been with her this entire time, without fail. Dead or alive, he was always with her.

Deidara placed one hand on her shoulder, and the other on her back. He hugged her, and pulled back, gazing at her.

"This is your wedding day," he said, sounding like a proud brother. "You're finally getting married to Obito."

Taki looked down, and was quiet. He picked up her chin, only to find silent tears making its way down her cheeks. Slightly alarmed, he held her shoulders, and stared into her eyes.

"Now look at me, Taki. You're the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on. You're pretty, determined, caring, kind, sweet, smart, understanding, and most of all, you make everyone smile wherever you go."

The compliments only made her cry more, and he realized that they were tears of happiness.

"Are you ready?" he whispered softly, giving her a small smile. He took her chin in his hand, and wiped her tears with his thumb.

He chuckled. "At least your makeup is waterproof, ne?" He said it more as a comment than a question, but it made Taki smile nevertheless.

Wiping her eyes, she smiled her well known eye smile, and grabbed onto his arm. "I'm ready," she said, the shakiness in her voice still present, but declining.

She held tight to her bouquet of blue and purple flowers, and stepped out into the aisle, littered with flower petals that matched the color of her bouquet.

Everyone that was once murmuring and talking went silent as her foot stepped onto the purple material.

Obito was grabbing onto Kisame's neck, looking as if he would wring it out in anger, until his eye caught his soon-to-be wife.

His eyes widened, and he blushed, dropping Kisame, who sighed in relief.

His mouth hung open as Taki nervously stepped onto the aisle, almost hugging Deidara's arm.

Her eyes met his, and she blushed, a light shade of pink dusting over her cheeks. It was like teenager love, and no matter how many times they looked at each other, they got shy and couldn't hold eye contact for too long.

Deidara walked her to Obito, who took Taki's hand in his large one. Deidara smiled, and went to his designated spot near the groom.

Kakashi flipped through the pages of the book that would marry them, and this was the one time where he didn't wear his mask.

Taki asked everyone not to wear hats, or masks for the special occasion, and they all complied.

Kyo went to go sit down somewhere after laying out the flower petals. She couldn't seem to find a seat, and she awkwardly and nervously looked around.

"Here, Kyo."

A soft and quiet voice met her ears, one she knew all too well. She grinned, turning around, and almost began to cry.

"Gaara-san!"

He was patting the seat next to him, and the smallest smile made its way onto his face.

She ran over to him, and without hesitation hugged him tight. He immediately hugged back, and felt sad, knowing that she would pass on soon.

"Why are you here?" she asked excitedly.

"Obito invited me. I would never miss this chance." He said monotonously, his eyes trailing to Obito and Taki.

Gaara and the four other kages were in the front row on the left, and the Uchihas were on the right.

Kakashi cleared his throat. He looked at Taki and Obito, and they smiled. They took a candle, and everyone in Konoha took out their candles as well.

Obito took a deep breath, and so did Taki. They opened their mouths, and spoke at the same time, reciting their own traditional vow.

"I promise to be your lover, companion and friend,

Your partner in parenthood,

Your ally in conflict,

Your greatest fan and your toughest adversary.

Your comrade in adventure,

Your student and your teacher,

Your consolation in disappointment,

Your accomplice in mischief.

This is my sacred vow to you, my equal in all things. All things."

They lit the candles, and everyone lit theirs up as well.

Obito smiled, edging his face closer to Taki's. Her face felt warm, and she tilted her head.

Sparks flew as their lips met, and their eyes twinkled, reflecting the candle lights through the darkness of the evening.

Everyone cheered, and set their candles aside to converse.

Kyo ran up to Taki, and hugged her, then Obito right after.

They teared up at her happiness, knowing it wouldn't last long. "I," Taki said, her voice wavering. "I want a picture with you, before you leave us."

Kyo's smile seemed to never leave her face.

"Taki-chan, you can always visit my grave." At the sound of it being used so innocently, Taki burst into tears.

Obito hugged her, and Kyo as well.

The family they always wanted was here, hugging each other.

"You don't understand," Kyo said, her voice muffled by Taki's dress. "I have been granted something special, because I saved your life.

Taki sniffed, and couldn't help but cry still "ughh..ugh..ughhh.." she blubbered out, trying to control her tears.

"My grave is the only place where I can visit this world from heaven. When you visit me, I will be there."

The second the information transpired Obito and Taki burst into a round of new tears, hugging Kyo tighter. They weren't sure if it was from happiness, or sadness, or confusion or whatever emotion they were feeling at that moment.

"I-I.. wi-ll.. always visit..you every-day," Obito choked out, and Taki nodded.

Kyo smiled at the wife and husband that she grew so close to. She nodded approvingly at them. "It's been fun meeting you guys," she said. "I can finally see my mama again."

She began to disappear, and alarmed, they began shouting her name in panic. Bits of her floated off like Sakura petals, and she smiled.

"Bye bye. I love you."

And like the rain clouds of yesterday, she was gone.

---

"Ky-o!"

"Yes, that's right, Haru. K-Y-O. Kyo!"

The little boy giggled in her arms.

"Kyo."

"That's right!"

Taki and Obito stood proudly with their son, Haru. They went to visit Kyo at her grave every day without fail, and the moment their son learned to walk, they brought him along, too.

He was only two and a half, but the features he had were becoming similar to his parents.

He had dark blue hair, with natural light blue highlights that made his hair look like the night sky.

The Harigae name lived on.

Instead of changing her last name to Uchiha to carry the family name, they decided with much thought that the Sharingan was a powerful weapon to be weary of.

Obito had been consumed with evil thoughts through the sharingan's hate, and they didn't want their son to have the same future.

Taki was the last of her clan, and now she has one that was born into the name. It would not go extinct.

Haru's eye color was a very wondrous thing to them. One eye was dark purple, and the other eye was a mix of dark and light purple.

Everything was perfect for them. Kyo's spirit was always there at her grave, and she came down every time they visited. She was like Haru's big sister, and really proud.

She treated him like a girl with her most beloved doll.

Obito was happy. The life story he shared with Taki stayed with him forever.

The story of how Taki joined the Akatsuki.

Thank you, everyone. You are so kind to read this, and your comments give me life. I hope you enjoyed it.

I drew pictures for you ^-^

That's Taki and Kyo on the wedding day.

That's Haru. Cuter than I thought it would be, actually. He does look more like Taki than Obito to me, but you can share your opinion.

Thank you everyone. I love you all <3
