Hogwart Student

Tamara and Orpheus spent every day leading up to the weekend, working on something. During that time, he had learned a lot about Regulus; all good things that his niece had told him. He could see something in her that he had seen in his brother and he desperately hoped that he was wrong.

For the result may be devastating for the pair of them, while they waited for Regulus to arrive they talks some more about him. She loved that she could talk to someone about him, 'Tamara, sorry I'm late, but I'm here now,' she held her finger up to her uncle. Sneaking up behind him, he quickly spun around holding his wand up to her.

"Woah," she held up her hands,

"You scared me, what are you doing out of the water?"

"I thought I'd surprise you," she said, twirling around, in a dress that her uncle managed to make for her.

"Well, you look beautiful," he smiled at her as his eyes wandered down her body, he lifted her up spinning her around, pressing his lips against hers. Regulus dropped her down when he heard someone clear their throat.

"You're the famous Regulus, I've been hearing about,"

"This is my uncle Orpheus," she said, holding his hand,

"It's a pleasure to meet you," he held his hand out to him Orpheus eyed him cautiously, reluctantly shaking his hand.

"Who's Barty?" Orpheus asked

"My friend," he answered, "we're supposed to be working on a potion together,"

"Uncle Orpheus, reading minds is very rude,"

"It's alright," Regulus said, "guess I'm just behind on work,"

"Maybe you should go and learn a few things too," Orpheus joked, with her

"I'd love to but obviously I can't-

"Why can't you, you have magic yourself it might not be like mine but you do," Regulus said, she smiled at him, "plus it would be really fun to show you my world," she looked at her uncle,

"Nope, don't look at me like that,"

"Please," she pouted, "I promise I'll be fine,"

"Your father will have my head on a stick,"

"Is that a yes?" he nodded his head, she excitedly hugged him,

"I need to go over a few things first, you very well can't just waltz in there," he said,

"I'll get you some books, and clothes, you could stay in my room," Regulus suggested

"Absolutely not," Orpheus interrupted

"I'll be alright, Regulus isn't going to hurt me,"

Orpheus had convinced her father that he would be taking her on a trip that could last a few months. The offer to take her with him wasn't unusual, Tamara had always been fascinated with her uncle's work. Orys knew his brother would take care of her, he insisted that they attend one last dinner before she left.

"Where will you be heading this time?" her mother asked,

"Well, Avienna there's been talk of lost civilisations I believe I have pinpointed their location, friendly folk with a thriving number of Sirens,"

"That sound really cool can I go, father?" the youngest sister, Syrena asked

"No darling, I think one of you leaving is going to be hard enough," her father said

As they left, Orpheus knew of a secret cave that lead to a small pond in the forbidden forest. As they made their way there, he warned her of the dangers that lurked in the forest and not to go in them alone. They only emerged from the water cautiously, leaving just their eyes above the water's surface, glancing left and right.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" he whispered,

"Yes, I want to be with him," she told him, he helped her out of the water, they quickly got dressed as they made their way through the forest,

"Alright, I must warn you, the longer you stay out of the water the more human you become and by the way, make note of where this pond is,"

"What do you mean?" she questioned, she looked around even in the daylight the forest seemed dark and eerie

"Your ability to read the mind of others will fade, your hair will change colour, your magic may dwindle,"

"How can I stop that from happening?"

"Have a bath, not a shower, I must insist that every two weeks you come with me for a swim," she nodded, he stopped her as he heard something in the distance he stood in front of her looking for the creature watching them.

A creature ran towards them, unlike anything they had seen, the head torso and arms appeared to be human, while the body resembled a kelpie. The creature held a weapon up at them, Orpheus hissed baring his sharp teeth the creature lowered its weapon.

"You are not creatures of the land," Orpheus relaxed, his teeth returning to normal.

"No, we reside in the lake," he said

"You aren't Mermaids, or Selkies, too human to Merrows," the creature cautious approached them.

"They have beauty, unlike no other, they are Sirens" another appeared adding to the other assumption.

"Wouldn't be looking for food would you,"

"Not at all, we do not feed on humans," Tamara stated

"And a werewolf doesn't shift on a full moon,"

"It is the truth, we're trying to reach the school," Orpheus said, "my niece is hoping to attend the school,"

"Follow Bane he'll guide you out,"

"A siren for a Hogwarts Student, now I've seen everything,"

They resisted letting the creature know they could hear his thoughts. As they near the clearing of the forest, she spotted Regulus, she ran over to him, he caught her spinning her around. Her uncle hurried best he could he took a look back at the creature that retreated into the forest.

"You made you it," he said, smiling at her, Orpheus interrupted their little reunion

"Yes, now I believe we have Professor Dumbledore to meet,"
