QOTP: Dean or Seamus?

Word Count: 1745

The day after you and Ginny lost Hogsmeade privileges and got detention, the boys are let out of the hospital wing. None of them seem to look at you when you pass them in the halls, which worries you.

They're definitely mad.

You don't blame them; you'd be mad, too. So, you go to apologize to them all separately, finding the boy you worry about losing the most first.

Draco -
You find him walking to Herbology with Crabbe and Goyle and run over, stopping him with a hand on his shoulder. He tells Crabbe and Goyle to go on without him, then looks back at you. "What?"

You already know the answer to your question by his tone, but you ask it anyway. "Are you mad at me?"

He quirks an eyebrow, arms crossed, otherwise looking disinterested. "Pretty much."

Your heart breaks into a million pieces at his tone, not to mention his words. You feel panicked, wanting him to forgive you more than anything in the world. "Draco, I'm sorry. I messed up."

He shrugs a little. "I know."

You don't know what to do; you can't lose him. You fumble for something to say. "Can I make it up to you somehow?"

"Not really."

You're basically pleading with him now. "Draco-"

"You humiliated me, you know that?" he interrupts, anger finally evident in his voice. "Blaise won't shut up about it, not to mention the rest of the school."

Tears starts pooling in your eyes, but he doesn't notice. "I'm sorry."

"You said that already."

The tears start pouring, then. "And I'll say it hundred times if that's what it takes for you to forgive me."

His face involuntarily softens, and he doesn't sound as angry as before. It gives you hope. "You're making it very difficult to be mad at you right now."

You don't know what to say. "... Sorry?"

He sighs frustratedly. "Stop being cute."

You get flustered at his blunt words and start stuttering. "I- wh-what? Um... okay? I'll try?"

"You're not trying very hard."

"I don't know how to not be cute!" you reply, at a loss. "I'm confused!"

He sighs again, running a hand through his hair, "Just... you can't. You're always cute."

You stop, looking at him suspiciously. "Are you sure that potion wore off?"

"Positive," he replies immediately.

"Oh..." is all you know to say. He thinks you're cute? What?

He turns to look at the greenhouses. Class is about to start. Looking back at you, he decides it's now or never. "Meet me in the Astronomy tower at 10pm."

You blanch. "Do you want me to get even more detention?"

"You asked how to make it up to me..."

He's got you there. "Alright, then. I'll be there."

To you surprise, he leans over and kisses your cheek. "Good." With that, he heads to class.

Fred -
You find him in the library with George, studying for a Potions exam last minute. You could just apologize to both of them at the same time, but you feel like they deserve better than that, so you ask Fred to step out into the hall with you.

"Are you mad at me?" you ask immediately.

He sighs, facing you and leaning against the wall. "Only a little."

You nervously play with your hands. "Well, I'm still sorry, anyway."

He shrugs, a small smile on his face. "Eh, don't be."

"Why?" you ask, looking up at him. You're kind of shocked; why wouldn't you be sorry for basically drugging him into loving you?

He blushes. "Honestly, that stuff gave me the courage to kiss you. And I don't know if it's remnants of that potion talking or what, but... I've been wanting to kiss you for a long time."

You blush, too, but your heart soars. "Really?"

He grins. "Really... And speaking of 'really', I'd really like to kiss you again."

"Ditto."

Smiling, he presses his lips to yours.

George -
You find him with Fred, trying to goad the giant squid out of the Black Lake. Fred sees you first, says something to George, then walks off so you can talk alone.

George merely glances at you when you reach him. You sigh nervously. "Are you mad at me?"

He doesn't even look at you, but his tone is like a slap to the face. "What do you think?"

You're already this close to crying, but you try to push it down. Your voice cracks anyway. "I'm sorry."

George's heart nearly breaks at the sadness and regret in your voice, but he reminds himself that it still doesn't change what happened. "Well, thanks for the sentiment."

"George-"

"I'm cross with Ginny, too, by the way," he adds, knowing his resolve will break if he hears the sadness in your voice again. "Why would she think that was a good idea? And why did you agree to it?"

You exhale shakily. "Honestly, George, I don't know."

He almost looks at you, but stops himself because he knows you're crying. "You sat there and lied to my face, pretended to care about Fred's condition-"

"I did care!" you shout, the accusation angering you a little.

He finally looks at you, face as red as his hair. "You were the one who made him like that!"

He's right, and you couldn't feel guiltier. "I-I know..."

He expected you to shout back at him, but when you didn't, his heart nearly broke again and he had to turn away. "Have you apologized to him?"

"Not yet," you answer, wiping your eyes on your robe sleeves. "I came to you first."

"First out of me and Fred or everyone you slipped that potion to?" he asks, sounding a little less angry than before.

"Out of everyone."

He looks at you again even though he can't stand to see you upset. "Why?"

You look down at your shoes, speaking quietly, "You're the most important to me..."

He sighs frustratedly; almost the entire time, he's been fighting to stay mad at you, and that just takes the cake. He's too in love to be angry - at least with you. "You know, that stupid potion hasn't even worn off yet?"

Your brows furrow as you involuntarily sniffle. "Really? I passed Ron in the hall and he didn't even glance at me. He was the last person I gave it to."

George stops. "So the fact that I really want to kiss you right now even though I'm mad at you has nothing to do with the potion?"

You blush crimson, unable to look him in the eye. "I-I guess not."

Almost immediately, his lips are on yours. His lips are soft, but the kiss isn't. One arm is around your shoulders, the other around your lower back, and your hands are tangled in his hair. You'd stay like this forever if you didn't need air.

He pulls away, breathless with his arms still around you. "I'm still mad."

"And I'll do everything I can to make it up to you."

He smiles. "I know."

Harry -
You find him heading to the Gryffindor common room alone. When he sees you, he stops, and you're relieved that he isn't running away.

You cut right to the chase. "Are you mad at me?"

He sounds angry, but not as angry as you had feared. "Kinda, yeah."

"I'm sorry. I never should've done that."

He mirthlessly chuckles. "Well, you're right about that."

"Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"

He thinks for a few seconds. "Defeat You-Know-Who so I don't have to."

"I wish I could," you reply immediately, and he can tell you genuinely mean it.

He sighs. "You know, that potion made me realize something."

Your brows furrow. "What?"

"Even after the effects have worn off, I still feel the same about you. I always have."

You nearly gasp. "Harry..."

He takes your surprise the wrong way. "You know, you could make it up to me by not rejecting me."

You kiss his cheek, smiling. "I wasn't going to. I'm just shocked you feel the same way - especially after all this."

He shrugs, blushing. "We'll laugh about it someday. I'm laughing over the way Draco acted right now."

You cock an eyebrow. "You acted the same way."

He waves you off. "Yeah, but we don't need to talk about that."

Ron -
You find him in the Great Hall at lunch and walk over to him. He sees you and excuses himself form the table, then you step outside to talk alone.

"Are you mad at me?" you ask.

He shrugs. "Not really. I would've found it funnier if you left me out of it, though."

You frown. "I'm sorry. Ginny dared me to, and I'd never hear the end of it if I refused. She probably would've given me a worse dare than that, honestly."

He cracks a small smile. "Yeah, you're probably right..." You don't know what to say; you had a whole speech prepared when you thought he was angry, but now that you know he's not, you're at a loss. Ron doesn't mind the silence, though; he could look at you all day, even if you're just awkwardly standing outside the Great Hall, relieved that he's not mad at you. You're just so beautiful...

Wait, what?

"Madame Pomfrey said the effects should've wore off by now," Ron says, frowning.

"What do you mean?" you ask, thoroughly confused.

"I think I'm still in love with you."

There's no way the potion's worn off - you're sure of it now. Ron Weasley would never be in love with you. "Well, I gave you the potion last..."

He shakes his head. "It's been a whole day, though, and Snape gave us all antidotes."

Could he be? "Oh..."

Ron should be shocked at this revelation, but, like his mother, he's not. "So I guess that means that's just how I feel, then..."

You're hopeful, but you're afraid of being disappointed. "Really? I-I feel the same way..."

His eyes light up. "Really?"

"Yeah..." you trail off, smiling.

"So... wanna go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?"

You grimace. "I, uh, lost my Hogsmeade privileges..."

Ron thinks for a second. "Then meet me by the Black Lake after lunch tomorrow?"

"I'll be there."
