Dragorath

-Gandalf's POV-

I was riding my horse on the outskirts of the ancient city of dragorath. I had heard a certain maiden was longing for adventure so I, of course, wanted to help her. Her name was Daenerys Stormborn. I knew her from an old adventure of ours.

I reached the gate and was met by two guards. they looked like dragons but had the form of humans. "Who are you and what's your course.?" The biggest one asked with a voice that held authority.

"My name is Gandalf the gray, and I'm here for a friend," I said. The guard nodded and gestured to his companion to step aside. They both did and the gate opened.

I came into the castle garden and dismounted my horse. A maid came to me and gestured for me to follow her. I did. We entered the halls of the castle and the throne room.

"here I must leave you, sir. Her majesty does not like us servants interfere." The maid said and bowed before darting off to her work again.

"What's your business in Dragorath, wizard?" A deep but soft voice sounded from before me. I looked up and meet sky-blue eyes. the eyes of the dragon queen.

"I am sure that you remember me, my dear Daenerys," I said. I could hear her gasp and her voice bore a soft confusion.

-A/N POV-

"My dear friend Mithrandil? What brings the gray wizard to this kingdom?" Daenerys said, walking down from her throne. "Indeed it is me." Gandalf voiced back, smiling warmly at her. As a half-elf, Daenerys called him Mithrandil cause of her elven blood.

"I seek your help in a quest," he said, leaning on to his wooden staff. Daenerys gave him a look of confusion and concern. She knew very well that the wizard could do a quest without any help if he wished.

"I will help, if I may hear what quest this is?" The dragon queen said. The old wizard sigh and answered slightly. "It bears to reclaim a homeland. I'm pretty sure you have heard of the dwarven kingdom of Erebor. I want you to meet me at a certain house in The shire. Our host will be the hobbit Bilbo Baggins." Daenerys nodded and went back to her throne.

"I will come by the moons' rise. Expect me by then." She said and Gandalf bowed in gratitude and made his way outside.

-A week later-

-your pov-

I was riding my horse, Elvia. She was the steed my mother gave to me when I was a child. She grew up with me as a foal and we are close. I reached the door of the house Bilbo lived in. Gandalf had said that I should look for a mark on the door.

I dismounted Elvia and patted her gently before sending her off in the forest again. I pulled my hood farther up over my silvery-white head and made my way to the door and knocked three times.

I heard the chattering that found a place inside these walls quieted as my knocks heard. I could hear the faint sound of footsteps hurrying to the door.

Then the door opened and inside was Bilbo Baggins. "Good evening, master hobbit. my name is Daenerys. May I come in?" I said as my eyes moved to the hobbit. He nodded, confusion spreading his small face.

"yes," he said and moved aside. I hang my cloak on the coat rack and walked inside. I stopped dead in my tracks when I was met by the sight of dwarfs. I knew this certain company had a big hatred towards elves.

"Ah, the company of Thorin, son of Thrain," I said as I bowed. I felt his glare on me as I lifted my head again.

"I do not remember asking for an elf to join our quest, Gandalf." Thorin spats. I roll my eyes and make my way to the table and sit down between the two dwarves, Filli and Killi.

"I know, but she is the only one who can help us. Give her a chance, she'll do us more good than bad, I assure you." Gandalf says as he watches me talking with the dwarves.

"I am sorry about our uncle, miss Daenerys.." Killi says as he lowers his head. I pat his back and say.
"It is not your fault. I knew what king Thranduil did was not exactly honor full, but I'm nothing like him." I say as my eyes study Thorin's figure.

"So you know Thranduil?" Filli asks as he raised one eyebrow. I nod and a smile returns to my lips as a bush fights its way over my cheeks.

"You can say that, yes. He took me in last time I was in middle-earth and I got close to him and his son. But that's a story for another time" I say as I look down in my cup.

It's filled with clear water. Not as clear we have a home but still. I lift the cup and take a sip. It immediately fills my lungs and body.

I suddenly catch the gimt of a map. I look over but don't see it so good.
"May I see that?" I ask Gandalf. He nods and hands me it.

My eyes wander over the map until I see a certain symbol. The symbol of Smaug. I had seen this symbol in the books in the royal library in my castle but I never paid it much.

"So there where that dragon lives now.." I trail off, still looking at the symbol of Smaug and The lonely mountain.

"What was that, dear?" Gandalf asks as a look of confusion and supusimos comes over his face.
"Oh- n-nothing. I just remembered something, that's all." I say as I look down. They can't find out that I know about Smaug.

"Can you read it?" Thorin says as he watches me. I shake my head and hand back the map. "No, I can not. But there's someone who can though.." As I say this, the dwarves snap their heads over to me.

"Who may that be?" Thorin asks. I sigh as I move my gaze on Thorin. "I am afraid that you would not like that person, Thorin. But if you must know, his name is Lord Elrond." I said. I stand up and walk over to the fire and sit down by it.

I can hear the hushed tones of the dwarves and what they're saying of Lord Elrond. my blood is boiling but it's their grudge to hold, not mine.

"You're okay, Dany?" Gandalf asks as he sits beside me. I nod slightly and turn my head to him. "Yes old friend, but it angers me that they have such hatred for elves. Just because that Thranduil turned his back on them, doesn't mean that all elves will do the same." As I finish, Gandalf nods and takes one of his hands on my shoulder.

"Many dwarves hold grudges for nothing and what Thranduil did will not be set good in the light but I agree with you. "

-time skip to the woden area-

I was riding my horse Elvia. She seemed not bothered by the shorter ponies. I was talking with Gandalf when I heard someone yell. It was a small voice but it still bore thru the forest. I stopped Elvia before the others.

" I signed it," Bilbo said as he came up to Balin's horse. Balin took the parethamet and studied it with one glass. "All seems to be in order. Welcome to the company of Thorin Okensheild." He said.

"Give him a horse," Thorin said and urged his horse. "No, no, no, no. That...that won't be necessary. Thank you. I'm sure I can keep up on foot. Yeah, I...I've done my fair share of walking holidays, you know? Even got as far as Frog Morton once." I just chuckle at his words and yank him up in front of me on Elvia.

"You can sit with me, master Baggins," I say in his ear. I urge Elvia to go a little faster to keep up.

-Time skip warg riders-

Radagast was leading the wargs and their riders away from us while we were running to God's know where.

Gandalf suddenly vanished down a hole. I just keep running with the others and shot arrows at the wargs.

"Here you fools!" Gandalf suddenly shouted from the hole. I growled at the wargs, my eyes glowing. Filli looks at me and I see his eyes widen.

"Dany, what happened to your eyes?" Filli said. I shook my head and shrugged.
"It that who happens when I get angry. But let's go to Gandalf now." I says as we follow Gandalf down thru the hole.

-time skip, in Rivendale-

"So this is the dragon queen that have been seen roaming middle-earth." Lord Elrond said as he eyed me as I stood beside Thorin. I nodded and gave him a polite smile.

"Yes my lord." I said. Lord Elrond gave me a warm smile and turned to Lindir.
