Chapter 2
I'm just gonna say now that I don't want any fucking comments about ASOTM
~~
I sat in class, bouncing slightly as I waited for Frank to come. I realized that he wouldn't as long as Mr. McDonald was here, he scares Frankie.
"Can I please go to the bathroom?" I asked.
Mr. McDonald raised his eyebrows and I sighed.
"May I please go to the bathroom," I corrected.
"Yes," he said.
I got up and left, walking down the empty hallway. I went into the same bathroom we were in during the lockdown, which was months ago. I locked the door and looked around.
"Daddy?" I called. "I'm alone now, it's okay, you don't have to be scared."
I waited for a moment, sighing quietly.
"Baby," a voice whispered.
I looked behind me and saw Frank. I giggled, running and jumping into his arms. Frank hugged me tight and I smiled.
"Daddy, you don't have to be scared by everyone," I whispered. "What about your mama? I think she'd like to see you, it'd make her so happy because she's so sad."
Frank didn't say anything, just swayed back and forth slowly. I buried my face into his neck, sighing softly at the comfort I had missed so much.
"Daddy I missed you," I said.
Frank sat down against the wall and I sat on his lap.
"They make me see a therapist now," I said quietly. "But she's nice, she's my friend. And I got a new tutor but she's a meanie head."
Frank kissed my forehead and I smiled.
"I love you, daddy," I said.
"I love you too, sweetheart," Frank said.
I smiled, resting my head against his shoulder.
"I missed you so much," I mumbled.
I leaned up, pressing my lips against his. His lips were so nice and familiar. Frank wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer. I deepened the kiss between us, rolling my hips down against his.
"Daddy, missed you so much," I panted.
Frank held my hips still and I pouted.
"I missed you too," he said. "But not now. Not here in this bathroom, it has too many bad memories."
"They aren't all bad," I said.
"No," he agreed. "But you're just too special to be fucked in a bathroom."
"But what if I want to?" I asked. "I missed you so much. I missed your touch and the way you'd make me feel good."
"I know you did," Frank said. "But come on, you need to get back to class before your teacher worries."
"No, I don't want you to leave me again," I whimpered, my lip quivering.
"Baby, I'll be back later," he said.
"I thought you were gonna come back two months ago," I whispered.
"I'm sorry," Frank said. "I didn't mean to run that red light. It was an accident."
"I know, daddy," I said.
He kissed my forehead and we stood up. Frank held my hand and opened the door as we walked out. He walked me back to class and I smiled. I gave him a kiss and turned to the door. When I looked back, Frank was gone again.

"You're happy today," Jamia remarked.
I smiled and nodded, looking down at my phone.
"Oh, my brother's here," I said. "Bye bye, Jamia."
I gave her a hug and walked out to get into Mikey's car. I used to be scared of the car after Frank crashed but I'm a little better now.
"How was work?" He asked.
"Okay," I replied
Mikey drove and dropped me off at my therapist's office.
"Be back in an hour," he said.
I got out and went into the building to Miss Williams office. It was nice with pretty paintings on the purple colored walls. There was her desk, a seat for her and two cushiony seats across from it. Against the wall was a couch and beside that was a toy box. Sometimes if I'm good Miss Williams lets me play with the toys or color with the crayons she has. She's even got those funny scissors that make funny zig zag lines when you cut.
"Gee," Miss Williams said when I walked in.
I smiled, shutting the door as I sat in the chair.
"Hi, Miss Williams," I said.
"Gee, I've told you before that you can call me Hayley," she said.
I smiled, glancing over at the toy box.
"Ms. Johnson said it's respectful and that I should be respectful with adults," I said.
"It's all just to what people want," she said. "But anyways, how are you feeling?"
"I'm good," I replied.
"You look good," she remarked. "You even did your hair and makeup."
I smiled and nodded. "I wanted to look all pretty."
"And that's good, I'm glad to see you in something other than Frank's hoodies and t-shirts," she said.
I smiled and nodded.
"What made you feel this way?" She asked. "What changed?"
"I just wanted to look all pretty," I said. "Why is it bad if I'm happy, everyone's acting like it's a bad thing."
"It's not, sweetheart, everyone's just surprised," she said.
"Can I write a letter to my mom?" I asked.
I've been writing letters to my mom recently. I even got one back from her too. It was so nice and she talked about how she missed me so much.
"You can write a letter if you talk to me," she said.
I nodded and she smiled. Miss Williams handed me a pen and paper and I smiled.
Hi Mama I miss you.
"Okay, Gee, can you tell me what's changed?" She asked.
"I'm just not as sad about Frank's death," I said.
I wish I coold see you.
"Was it a dream?" Miss Williams asked. "Maybe something someone said?"
"No, I think it was just Frank," I said.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked.
Miss Williums said maybe I can see you soon. But she said I just have to be good and co oporate and maybe I can visit you.
"Just that I love Frank," I said. "He makes me happy."
"And that's good for someone you love to make you happy," she said.
"Yeah, he does make me so happy," I said with a small smile.
"Well, I think your father's very happy about your sudden change of moods," Miss Williams said.
I'm gonna be so good because I miss you so much.
"Do you wanna talk about why you had this change in heart?" She asked.
I can't wait to see you Mama.
"It's kinda hard to explain," I said.
I wanted to tell her about how Frankie comes to visit me now but I can't or else he won't come back.
"Well, we've got time," she said.
There's so much I want to tell you but I wanna tell you in person
"It's just that Frankie's been gone but now it's like not so sad anymore because like when I see things that remind me of Frank I don't be sad I'm happy because I love him," I said.
"That's good, you're moving on," Miss Williams said with a smile. "And I just want to tell you now that you don't have to feel guilty for moving on, it doesn't make Frank any less of a person."
"I know," I said. "I'm not guilty, I'm happy."
"And that's good because we've all been missing that smile on your face," she said.
I hope I see you soon, please rite to me again. I love you Mama.
Love, Gee
I finished writing the letter and smiled. It wasn't very long but I was waiting to see Mama in person because I don't want to tell her all about Frank and stuff just over a letter.
"When can I go see my Mama?" I asked.
"You know what, Gee, I think this change you've been experiencing is good," Miss Williams said. "If it continues to stay this way then I would say that's a definite yes. However, that's still something you'd need to discuss with your father."
"But I'm almost old enough to go alone now," I said as I crossed my arms. "I just don't know how to get there and no one will take me."
"Well, maybe that's something we can set up," she said.
"Will I be able to see her more than once?" I asked.
"That depends on how well the first meeting goes," she stated.
Miss Williams held her hand out and I handed her my letter. She read it over and smiled softly.
"Sweetheart, my name is spelled with an A not a U," she said.
"B-but it's pronounced Will-iums," I said.
"But it's not spelled like that," she said. "Sometimes the A sounds like a U."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Too hard," I complained.
Miss Williams smiled, setting the letter aside to mail it later because I don't know how to do it myself.
"Moving on from Frank is a good thing," she said. "Is it perhaps because you've met another boy?"
I smiled softly. "I do like someone."
"Sometimes a new love can help heal the old wounds," she said. "Some people feel bad about that, like they're replacing the one they lost. But you don't have to feel that way."
"I don't," I said.
She smiled, running a hand through her hair.
"I think this has been a very good session," she said. "I'm proud of you, Gee, this can be very good for you."
I smiled and nodded happily.
"Can I play with some toys?" I asked.
Miss Williams nodded and I smiled. I went to the toy box and grabbed the toy plane, which was my favorite toy she had. I giggled, making plane noises as I flew it through the air and made circles around the desk.
"Can you tell me about this person?" She asked.
"He's nice," I said. "And funny and nice and pretty."
"Does he remind you of Frank?" She asked.
"Yeah, a lot," I said.
Miss Williams wrote something down and I stopped and frowned.
"D-did I do something wrong?" I asked, feeling my lip quivering.
"Oh, sweetheart, no," she denied. "It's just that...that if you're dating someone like Frank then maybe you haven't really moved on."
"But he makes me happy," I whimpered. "I'm not allowed to see him anymore?"
"No, of course you're allowed to see him," she said.
I smiled happily, excited for the next time I got to see him.
