September 1971

It's two months from the wedding now as Kit and Jude were happy to almost be husband and wife as they moved in their new house, not too far from their work or the people they love as they were happy to begin a new chapter in their lives as they were at peace about everything, especially Jude.

It was still sweltering in Boston, but some days were cooler and breezier than others. A lot has changed for everyone as everything was finally settling down for everyone.

Ben and Vivien went to marriage counseling every other week, while Violet signed up to play softball as everyone went to watch her play on Thursday nights.

Kit and Jude were happy to be living together in their own place with no past histories of former lovers or creepy stuff happening, like Jude's mirror the last week they were in the old house was shattered on her vanity and someone wrote 'whore' on the mirror when she stepped out of the shower. She was just happy the nightmares had finally ended for her, Kit and Pepper.

Violet was happy in her junior year of high school as she loved playing sports and spending time with her friends and family. Jude had become like a mother to her and ran to her about dating advice to make sure girls at school were accurate about their information. Jude told her to keep a low profile.

Jane and Roy were happy too as they had been dating for six months. Jane's parents approved of him as they all had dinner the first week Kit and Jude's new house as they told her to keep her promise; no sex before marriage and Roy respected her for it.

Pepper was happy too. Jude and her made a girls day out every weekend together as they brought Jane and Violet with them.

Everyone was doing great as they were getting ready for Kit and Jude's wedding as Vivien and her had a lot of fun planning it out.

Vivien and Jude were putting books back on the shelves as they were talking about the wedding.

"Have you thought about the kind of cake you wanted yet?" Vivien asked as Jude was seeing which books go on which shelf.

"I was thinking vanilla and strawberry, because I want something simple, not abnormal." Jude said

"Vanilla and strawberry are my favorites, plus your strawberry cake is to die for." Vivien told her as Jude smiled.

"Well, you need to come over for cooking lessons soon. I've already made a cook out of three girls, plus Kit." Jude said as Vivien laughed.

"It astounded me that one night after I come home and Violet was cooking and running around the kitchen looking for ingredients." Vivien said

"Kit made me baked salmon, roasted potatoes and asparagus. It was amazing, he's been such a sweetheart lately, especially if I get home after he does." Jude said

"Well Ben, what can I say about him?" Vivien questioned herself.

"I can think of a lot to say about him." Jude said

"I know, but we're just working through our problems. The only reason why I'm staying with him is because of Violet." Vivien said

"The women always stay with the man they love because of their children, but doesn't that raise questions for Violet?" Jude asked her.

"She's asked us if we are going to get divorced, but I don't want to put that on her. I know sooner or later it might happen, but for now, we want to be a family." Vivien said

"Well, I hope you know what you're doing. I just don't want to see you get hurt." Jude said as they finished putting the books back on the shelves where they belong.

"You know you're the first person I would run to if something was going on." Vivien said

"I know, but still, he has a lot of nerve coming to my house and begging for your forgiveness. I don't buy it at all." Jude said

"I understand, I just go with it and so does Violet." Vivien said

As the day went on, people came in and out of the library as Jude looked up to see a familiar face staring right at her.

"Mother Claudia." Jude said as she ran around the desk and hugged her tightly.

"Jude, my child." Mother Claudia said

"I'm so happy you're here, you must be exhausted." Jude said as as she wrapped her arm around her waist.

"I am, but it was totally worth it." Mother Claudia said

"So, how long are you staying here?" Jude asked her

"I actually just got a little house not too far from here." Mother Claudia said

"Well, me and Kit just moved as well. It's like our old house, but cozier and inviting." Jude said as she smiled.

"I remember you told me that in the letter you sent me and after that, you called me." Mother Claudia said

"Well, I was just so happy." Jude said

"You deserve everything my dear. Now, show me around your library." Mother Claudia said as Jude showed her all the books she enjoyed and which ones that were the best seller.

Jude introduced her to Vivien, Jane and Violet. She already knew Pepper as Mother Claudia was so happy that Jude was now a free woman and loved that she was doing well in her life after all she had been through after Briarcliff.

"And one of my favorite areas of course is the children's play area and books that I read to them." Jude said

"Children are very special, especially when it comes to their growth in reading." Mother Claudia said

"I agree with you Mother and that's why I wanted to open the library back up, plus it would give me something to do. Not that I mind staying home, but it gets boring after so long." Jude said as they walked to her office.

"I agree, that's why I'm here." Mother Claudia said as Jude and her sat down.

"Well, I'm happy you are here. Would you like to join me and Kit for lunch?" Jude asked her as she put on her reading glasses to look through paperwork.

"Sure, I would love to dear." Mother Claudia said

"Splendid." Jude said as she smiled and clapped her hands together.

"Kit told me something the other day while we talked on the phone." Mother Claudia said as Jude practically choked on her water.

"When did you talk to him?" Jude asked her.

"The other day when I came into town. I stopped by the gas station to see him." Mother Claudia said

"He did not tell me you were in town." Jude said

"He told me you had quite a month." Mother Claudia said

"Well, turns out that I was just under too much stress. I'm not pregnant mother, we just thought I was. I missed my period and we've been sexually active lately, so I was thinking at that time, maybe it was a possibility." Jude said

"Get married first my dear and go from there. In the meantime, how is the wedding planning going?" Mother Claudia asked

"Wonderful. Everything is ready for the wedding, all the exceptions, except for food and cake tasting." Jude said as she sat back in her chair as she took her glasses off.

"What have you chosen for cake flavors?" Mother Claudia asked

"Vanilla and strawberry." Jude said

"Well, it's going to be a wonderful wedding dear." Mother Claudia said as Jude smiled.

"I hope so." Jude said as Mother Claudia sensed Jude's nervousness.

"Are you getting cold feet my dear?" Mother Claudia asked her.

"Yes." Jude said as she felt herself worry.

"Don't worry sweetheart, everything will be fine. You and Kit were made for each other." Mother Claudia said as Jude thought of something.

"Mother Claudia, may I ask you a question." Jude said as Mother Claudia looked at her.

"Of course my dear, anything." Mother Claudia said

"I was hoping you could walk me down the aisle. My parents are deceased and I really don't want to walk down the aisle by myself." Jude said as Mother Claudia smiled at her.

"I would be more than happy to walk you down the aisle my dear." Mother Claudia as Jude came around and hugged her.

"This means so much to me. You helped me so much between all the counseling and helping Lana Winters get out of that infested snake pit." Jude said as Mother Claudia sat there.

"You know dear, she's still a reporter and a writer." Mother Claudia said

"I know, I still see her cooking ads in the paper. I change some of the measurements and ingredients because I know Lana told me she was the worst cook ever." Jude said

"And you're the best cook ever, my dear." Mother Claudia said

"Well, thank you." Jude said as they talked about everything that came to mind.

Two hours passed by as Jude was stacking books by herself as the girls had went out to lunch. Mother Claudia went back home as she was not feeling well all of a sudden, so she decided to give Jude and Kit her address to come visit her.

Kit walked into the library, expecting Jude to be ready, but he guessed she was still busy working on important matters.

He walked back behind the large desk to her back office as he seen her writing something down. He stood there and admired her as she felt someone was watching her as she got scared as she easily picked up the phone and dialed a number.

It rang three times before someone finally answered as Jude panicked, still feeling eyes on her.

"Hello?" Roy's voice rang through.

"Roy? Has Kit left yet?" Jude asked him.

"Yeah. Has he not shown up yet?" Roy asked

"No, not yet but I think someone is in the library and I don't know where he is." Jude said as Kit started kissing her neck as Jude throat punched him as she stood up and kicked him where no man should be kicked."

"Babe, it's me." Kit pleaded

"Oh my gosh, honey. I'm so sorry." Jude said as Kit tried to balance himself as she helped him sit in her chair.

"It's fine baby, you got a good aim." Kit said trying to breathe through the pain.

"Are you in pain?" Jude asked him as she sat in front of him.

"A little bit." He lied

"Honey, I know you're lying. I'm going to grab an ice pack." Jude said as Kit sat there as she went and grabbed a bag of peas instead.

"Why do you have a bag of peas?" Kit asked her.

"It's for emergencies." Jude said

"I'm sorry for sneaking up on you babe." Kit said as he opened his pants applied the bag of peas to his groin.

"It's alright darling. I may have an idea that would he ease the pain." Jude arched her perfectly manicured eyebrow at him and smiled as she sat on his lap.

"I like your idea." Kit said as he felt Jude's hand caress his shaft through his underwear and moaned in pain and pleasure.

"Shhh..." Jude hissed as she put her index finger to his mouth.

Kit caressed Jude underneath her dress as she moaned. He loved the way she felt around him, but he wanted to tease her as he felt his pain suddenly start going away.

"Hopefully, I won't contract a case of "blue balls"." Kit said as Jude giggled.

"You won't darling." Jude whispered in his ear.

"Baby, we forgot something." Kit said as Jude looked at him.

"Honestly, I would rather get pregnant than let you be uncomfortable." Jude said

"Do you still want lunch?" Kit asked her.

"Later." Jude said as she adjusted herself on his lap as things took off.

Ten minutes later, they adjusted themselves enough to walk out of her office and past the girls. They cleaned up before they did and headed off to lunch.

They arrived at their favorite diner as they sat down.

The waitress came and took their drink orders and handed them their menus.

"What are you going to have baby?" Kit asked her.

"A salad darling, It sounds great. What about you baby?" Jude said as she took a drink of her water.

"A grilled hot ham and cheese sandwich and French fries." Kit said as he noticed Jude's tense body language.

"Sounds wonderful darling." Jude said as she felt more nervous than usual.

"What's wrong babe?" Kit asked her.

"Mother Claudia stopped by the library and we talked." Jude said

"She was so happy to finally see you." Kit said

"I also asked her to walk me down the aisle. Do you think that I'm too old to have someone walk me down the aisle on my wedding day?" Jude asked him.

"No baby, I love that idea and Mother Claudia would love to walk you down the aisle." Kit said as Jude smiled as the waitress came back over to write down their orders and take their menus.

"I will have the special on the house salad." Jude said as the waitress wrote it down.

"And I'll have the special too of the hot ham and cheese sandwich with the side." Kit said as she wrote it down and walked away.

"The next thing on our list is food and cake tasting. Maybe this week or next we can." Jude said as Kit held her hand as she took out her notebook, pen and reading glasses.

"What about tomorrow?" Kit asked her as she looked up and smiled as she pushed her glasses up on top of her head.

"I'll tell Vivien when I get back to the library." Jude said as she was happy they were getting this all decided.

"Are we still going with vanilla and strawberry?" Kit asked her.

"Yes. I don't see any other flavor appealing to any of our guests." Jude said

"Let's go with our two flavors of choice." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"Okay." Jude said as she wrote everything they had already done and planned out.

The waitress came back with their meals.

"It looks devine, thank you dear." Jude said as she smiled at the waitress smiled too as she walked off.

"I can't actually wait until we get married." Kit said

"Me either baby." Jude said

They ate, talked and laughed as Kit walked her back to the library as they held hands as it felt good to have him here with her as he felt the same way about her.

"I will see you tonight darling." Kit said as he pressed a kiss to her lips.

"I can't wait!" Jude exclaimed as she opened the door.

"I love you baby." Kit said as she smiled.

"I love you too baby." Jude said as he kissed her cheek.

Kit walked back to his car and left as Jude made sure he was okay. She would die if something happened to him or even worse as she shook her head and went back to work.

Several hours later

It was time to go home and the girls were glad. Pepper was staying the night at Jane's and Violet was too as the girls said their goodbyes to Vivien and Jude as they clised up the library with Jude and Vivien both locking the doors as they walked to Vivien's car.

They talked until they arrived at Jude's house.

"Go home and rest dear." Jude said

"I know, but I still have to go home and cook for that man I call my husband." Vivien said as Jude shivered.

"Tell him to make his own dinner, he's got legs and feet for a reason dear." Jude said

"I know, but I'm trying to be a better wife." Vivien said as Jude looked at her face.

"Vivien honey, you're a great wife and a wonderful mother. He's the one who should be thinking about being a better husband." Jude's voice felt ready to scream.

"Jude, I don't know what I did wrong, I mean... I've tried everything that the counselor told me to do." Vivien broke down and cried as Jude held her.

"Honey, he's the one who is wrong. I say leave the bastard or shoot him." Jude said as Vivien looked at her, with mascara down her cheeks.

"I don't wanna go to prison." Vivien said as felt the need for a good cry.

"C'mon, you're going upstairs right now and lying down or you can have a glass of wine with me and Kit. Tomorrow, I'm taking you, the girls and mother Claudia to eat and shop. Also, the girls want their nails done and to figure out hair and makeup styles for the wedding." Jude said as they got out of the car and walked up on the porch to see Kit dancing as they laughed.

"Wow! Nice moves." Vivien said trying to contain her laughter.

"Well, hello there ladies." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"Honey, I'm going to go put Vivien to bed. I will be down in a few minutes." Jude said as they walked upstairs to the guest bedroom.

"I really don't want to intrude on your weekend off." Vivien said as Jude sat beside her.

"Darling, you're not intruding on my weekend and I already told you I would rather you be here than somewhere else, now get some rest honey, you deserve it." Jude said as Vivien walked in the bathroom to change into her pajamas she left here last time that Jude washed as she would take a shower in the morning. She felt her eyes grow heavy for sleep as she laid down and closed her eyes as Jude turned out the lamp and left the room quietly as she walked back downstairs to see Kit reading a murder mystery novel as she sat beside him.

"I hate him!" Kit said as Jude looked at him.

"I do too." Jude said as she took her glass of wine.

"I love you baby." Kit said as he kissed her.

"I love you too baby." Jude said as he smiled.

"I'm worried about Vivien and Violet." Kit said as Jude felt her heart flutter for the sweetheart he really was.

"She still loves him, I was her at one time." Jude said as she remembered her first love and the Monsignor.

"Let's invite them to stay here with us, I mean, he's not around enough to know the pain she's going through. She's drained physically, mentally, emotionally and somewhat spiritually." Jude said

"He's a jackass, there is more, but I respect you enough to not cuss." Kit said

"Honestly, we've earned the right to cuss out whoever messes with us. You and the girls mean so much to me. That's all I ever wanted was a home, family, job and people to love and care for." Jude said as Kit smiled.

"You have me baby forever and always. I'm not going anywhere." Kit said as Jude smiled as he kissed her.

"Hopefully soon, we can add a new addition to our family." Jude said as she wanted to be a mother.

"I guess we're that couple who doesn't like to wear a condom during sex?" Kit questioned

"Who does? I never met a man who does, but he wore one regardless." Jude said

"Some men refuse to pull out, but I listen to my lady when she says she has had enough." Kit said

"You're wonderful in bed baby, I have no problem with you taking your time. Also, incredible as well might I add." Jude said

"You're a goddess babe, like seriously, I can't get enough sometimes." Kit said as Jude laughed.

"I know, because we had sex three times in one day." Jude said

"I love those days." Kit said as Jude smiled

They made promises to each other as they played a game of 'Who Know Who the Best' and 'Would You Rather'

"Would you rather have one partner or multiple partners?" Kit asked her.

"I would rather have you any time of the day darling." Jude said

"Have you ever thought about a threesome?"

"No, but I think it would be fun to spice up our sex life a little bit."

"Who would we have the threesome with?" Kit asked her curiously.

"You really want to know?" Jude asked him as she took a drink of her wine and ran her hand over his perfect calloused hand.

"Totally, I'm curious to see what my gorgeous fiancèe comes up with." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"If we were to have a threesome with another person, I would want it to be with Frank." Jude said as Kit was astounded.

"Well baby, I mean... Do I have to kiss him?" Kit asked her.

"No, but I would never cheat on you." Jude said

"I know baby." Kit said

"My turn." Jude said

"Okay." Kit said

"Would you rather have sex in a public place or not have sex for a year?" Jude asked him.

"In public. I could not imagine not having sex for a year, that's just asking for a serious case of 'blue balls'." Kit said as as Jude kissed him.

"Same, I mean I could never have sex in front of someone. That's an invasion of privacy." Jude said

"We had sex in your office today." Kit said

"That was not in front of anyone though, it was just me and you behind a closed, locked door." Jude said as she refilled her wine glass and took a sip of the rich berry liquid as it tickled her tongue and lips.

"Would you rather go to a nude beach or get stranded on an island?" Kit asked her.

"Would you be with me at both places?" Jude asked him.

"Definitely! Your body is too hard to stay away from." Kit said

"I could see us making it count on a stranded island, but I would rather me and you having a beautiful cozy cabin, not a sand trap." Jude said as she fantasized about a cabin.

"Honey?" Kit asked her.

"I have an idea!" Jude exclaimed excitedly.

"Don't you always." Kit said

"Yes, but what if we went to a secluded cabin for our honeymoon. It would be romantic and I love the idea of snow in the ground. It would be better than a hotel." Jude said as she hated the thought of staying in a hotel.

"Sounds wonderful baby. I will look into or maybe Roy might know someone." Kit said

"Perfect!" Jude said as she pressed her lips up against his as she laid her head on his shoulder as she felt the fireplace warm up against her feet along with his body heat.

They ended their night by Jude checking on Vivien and making sure she was okay as she crept quietly back to her room to change into her pajamas as she got in bed and Kit held her close like he always did.

"Goodnight baby. I love you." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"Goodnight baby and I love you too darling." Jude said as she kissed him.

"You're irresistible Mrs. Walker." Kit said as Jude loved when he called her that.

"You are too Mr. Walker." Jude said

"Now, I want strawberries." Kit said as she laughed.

"What?" Jude asked as sge giggled.

"We were talking about our wedding cake earlier and I had a sudden craving for strawberries." Kit said

"Sounds like a pregnancy craving darling." Jude said

"That would be impossible honey. I'm not pregnant baby, but we have been trying lately." Kit said

"God will give us the right moment, we just have to patient and wait for him to find the perfect time." Jude said as Kit could not wait to be a father.

"I think you would make the prettiest pregnant woman ever." Kit said as they smiled.

"I just want everything I've ever prayed for to come true. I always wanted a home to stay in, a husband who loves me and wants to be with me, my own children to love and teach. I want what every woman in this world wants, I want to be yours and not someone else's." Jude said as Kit felt the pain she was going through, because he had been there too. He wanted to have a family with Alma, but whatever made someone think he was a murderer was crazy, but then, he would have never met Jude.

"Baby, our prayers have been answered. I got you and we're about to get married, then, we will have the most beautiful baby in Boston. Jude, I know we went through a lot together, but something made me realize that in order for me to leave everything that happened to me in the past is to do something great." Kit said as Jude listened to him.

"Did you get me out of Briarcliff for yourself or just to do it?" Jude asked as Kit realized he never told her the reason.

"Both. I did not want you to suffer baby, because I didn't want what hapoened to me to happen to you." Kit said

"I was treated much worse. They say I murdered someone and accused people of things, that's why they threw me in that snake pit to rot." Jude said as she lit a cigarette for them.

"Do you remember who told you that?" Kit asked her.

"You'll just get upset." Jude said as she took a drag off the cigarette and passed it to Kit as he took a long drag.

"I have an idea who it was, but yes, his name infuriates me. He and Mary Eunice treated you like you were nothing." Kit said as Jude wanted to cry over Mary Eunice.

"She was like a daughter to me, both her and Pepper were like my girls there, until the night we did that exorcism on that boy, I don't want to say his name, because during all that, he was possessed by the devil and he told me exactly what I was." Jude said as Kit held her as she talked.

"Jude, you're not a whore and if anyone says that, I will beat their ass." Kit said as Jude looked at him.

"But I was a whore Kit, a drunk white with nowhere to go. I ended up finding my way to God after I woke up from the night after everything that I told you happened." Jude said

"Baby, as long as you're with me, I would never, never disrespect you or hurt you in any way." Kit said

"I know baby and these past two years have been wonderful. No man has ever loved me like you and now, I'm getting married and I will have my children I've always seemed about. I just want us to always be open with each other, no secrets and lies." Jude said as she laid her head back down on his chest.

"God and me love you baby. There will be no secrets or lies between us, I promise." Kit said as he kissed her head as she felt her eyes drifting heavy with want for sleep.

"Get some rest baby, you deserve it." Jude said as Kit held her and ran his fingers through her beautiful golden locks as he heard her lightly snore.

"You do too baby." Kit said as he drifted off to sleep with her as they held onto each other.

They dreamed about their future as everything in their world felt right as Kit dreamed about them getting married and Jude dreamed about him and their children together as they were blessed to know they were apart of each others lives.
