"Hey, Wil." Techno muttered, "Hey..." Wilbur mutters, though they were brothers, they were never exactly close. They both had very different lives but still talked to each other, but even when they talked to each other their conversations were always awkward and short. 

The 2 stood in silence for a few seconds before Techno spoke up, "We should head to the dining room, mom and dad are probably there already." Wilbur nodded and they walked to the dining room in silence. They reached the dining room and saw their parents sitting in their seats, they quickly said hello and sat down in their own seats. 

~After Dinner~

After the family ate dinner, Wilbur stood up to leave the room and go back to his room to get ready for the party when his father stopped him. "Wil." He started, Wilbur gulped nervously and turned to face him. "Yes?" "I need you to show your wings tonight, don't keep them folded under your cape. Same with you Tech." 

Wilbur was shocked, to say the least, he wanted to ask why but nodded. "Of course, father." He went to leave the room when Autumn stopped him. "Your highness!" She ran over to him with a letter in hand, "This letter is for you, it's from Dream." 

Wilbur nodded and thanked her before exiting the room, he walked back through the hallway and opened the letter as he walked. 

Dear Wil, 

It's me, Dream! I sent this letter to you to tell you that my mom agreed with your idea, we'll talk about this more at the party but you might be wondering why I sent a letter instead of just talking to you in person. The reason was, I don't really know why. I just thought sending a letter would be really fancy since I'm sending it to ya.

Wilbur laughed as he read the letter, he was happy to know that Puffy agreed with his idea. He had reached his room and went to change his clothes.

Wilbur's POV

I had finally finished changing my clothes and went to put on my other accessories. I went to my dressing room to put on my cape, the cape reached a little past my feet making it drag along the floor when I walk. 

The cape was blue, like our kingdom's main color, I don't get why my father allowed Techno to wear red and white instead of blue and white but it seems he loves the color red and who is my father to let him not wear red? 

I let my wings unfold themselves and stretch out, some of the feathers looked out of place so I decided to preen them. I looked at the clock, '06:45 PM' I had 45 minutes left to get ready since the royals will appear at the party at 7:30 PM.

I quickly sat down on a stool I had in the corner of my dressing room and started to preen my dark-brown wings. 

30 minutes have passed and I'm done, the mat under my stool had some dust and dirt from my wings. I'll get someone to clean that but I should finish up getting ready. I walk to the middle of my dressing room to put on my crown. 

I lift up the glass box and grabbed my crown carefully, I set the box back down and placed the crown on my fluffy brown hair. I walked towards a mirror to look at myself, I looked great, now I just needed to put on my boots. 

I sat down on a chair and grabbed my black knee-high boots, I tucked the ends of my pants in them and tied the strings tight so they wouldn't fall off. I smiled and stood up, I looked at myself in the mirror one last time before stepping out of my dressing room. I quickly fetched my glasses and put them on, I made sure that I wore everything that I needed to and left my room. 

I walked out of my room to see Techno also walking out of his, I always wonder why we always walk out of our rooms at the same time causing us to bump into each other, maybe it's a twin's thing. 

We stared at each other in silence, he was wearing the same thing I was but in red, and he was wearing black pants instead of white. His boar mask was off revealing his blood-red eyes and pink pig ears. His long pink hair was tied into a ponytail instead of its usual braid.

I cleared my throat and motioned for him to walk first, "After you." He nodded and started walking down the hallway, his red cape dragging along the floor behind him. I followed him and we walked in silence to the ballroom. 

"Y'know, it's weird now that you have your wings out." Techno blurted out, "I'm not used to seeing you with your wings out." He added, "Well you better, 'cause I'll show them a lot more when I'm King." I said sarcastically. I then sighed remembering that I was gonna have to continue the paperwork for my father tomorrow. 

"Heh, paperwork?" Techno chuckled, "You know it, father needs it done by tomorrow afternoon." I groaned, "I don't know how you deal with it." Techno mumbled. 

I hummed, "Oh, I just do it and try not to get distracted so-" my explanation got cut off by Techno, "No, I meant- How do you deal with all that studying? All the paperwork? And don't get me started on the training." 

"Oh, well, I guess I just somehow deal with it. I don't want to disappoint father." I shrugged, "You're really strong y'know that." Techno said glancing over towards me, I stared at him confusedly. "You're able to do the training, studying, and paperwork all at the same time." He paused for a moment, "In a few days you're going to be ruling a whole kingdom, being the youngest king in the world and you're only 17." He finished. 

I was shocked, "Am I really?" Techno nodded, a smile forming on his lips. "You are, not many people can do that." 

I was speechless, I had absolutely no idea what to say to that. "Well, uh, thanks. I know you're gonna be a great captain, our kingdom will be the strongest with you as captain." 

Techno hummed, "Thanks." 

Techno suddenly stopped making me look to where we were, we were in front of the ballroom entrance. "I'll see ya later." Techno said as the guards opened the door for us, he walked in and down the stairs. 

I walked in and stared at the beautifully decorated ballroom, there were many tables and chairs scattered around, there were tables lined up with delicious food, and of course, there were plenty of blue, white, and red flowers scattered around in vases.

Practically everyone in the entire kingdom was there, everyone was dressed in beautiful outfits and they were having a great time. I smiled as I spotted my best friends in the crowd, I quickly walked down the steps, saying hello back to anyone who greeted me, and managed to find my friends. 

"Dream! Sapnap! George!" I yelled, they all turned and ran to hug me, "I missed you too." I chuckled. "You guys are looking great!" I complimented as they all let go, they were all wearing black suits with ties based on their favorite color. Dream had a green tie, Sapnap had a maroon tie, and George had a dark blue tie. 

"Why thank you." Sapnap chuckled, "Anyways, did Puffy actually agree on the idea?" I ask. 

"You bet she did! She was a little sad when she realized we might be gone for a long time but it was best for you and us." Dream explained. 

I tilt my head a bit confused, "Me and you?" 

"Well, your dad doesn't really like us a lot soo." Dream said dragging the 'o'. 

Dream cleared his throat, "But anyways, I have a plan."
