Umi's POV

A couple weeks later

"Ami, wake up."

"Why?" I ask.

"The two of us are being summoned to the Hokage Office."

I groan and get up. "Damn Kakashi, normally he leaves me alone." I say and Kiba chuckles as he sits up and wraps his arms around my waist and puts his head in the crook of my neck.

"Yeah, but, it's most likely a mission, you've been filling in for Hana when she goes on missions, now its our turn for a mission." Kiba says to me.

I sigh. "Yeah, yeah, I call dibs on the bathroom first!" I yell and Kiba lets goes as we race to the bathroom, I make it there first.

"THAT'S NOT FAIR!" Kiba yells.

I change into my normal clothes, which consist of a dark blue long sleeve a light gray jacket, black leggings and my flack jacket. I put my ninja sandals on and I braid my hair to keep it out of my face. Once I'm done I walk out and Kiba goes in.

We're in the Inuzuka Compound, last week Kiba asked me to move into a small house in the compound with him, we still take care of the dogs and Tsume normally wakes us up, but, she's on a mission, Hana's taught me a lot about being a vet and I've almost completed my training.

'Do you have to narrate your life?' Cece asks, slightly annoyed.

Yes I do.

I grab a sandwich and so does Kiba and we head to the Hokage office and I just walk in, not really bothering to knock, while Kiba sweat drops.

"You need to learn how to knock." Kiba says to me.

I sigh and take a few steps back and I knock on the door, apparently this is amusing to Kakashi due to the amusement in his eyes.

"No, you have to do it like this." Kiba says and he shows me how to do it right and he makes me copy him, but he still corrects me, I don't know how many times before I hit his head into the wall.

"Ok, I've had enough of that, I can only put up for so long when people correct me." I say to Kiba and he smirks.

"I was testing your patience." Kiba says to me and I roll my eyes and walk into the room with my arms crossed over my chest.

"Well lovebirds, can you go to the Hidden Silence? Chey Umi has requested that Ami comes and brings her boyfriend." Kakashi asks us.

My eye twitches. "That little, I know what she's doing, fine we'll go." I say and Kiba chuckles at me as I stalk out. "I'll be at the gates." I call and I hear an 'Ok' from Kiba.

I walk to the gates while looking at the sky and once I get there, I walk face first into a phone pole, making Izumo and Kotesu laugh while I step back. "You ok?" Izumo asks.

"Ow." I say as I rub my forehead. Kiba comes a few minutes later and we set off and get there by noon since Kiba was riding Akamaru and I was keeping good pace beside them.

"AMI!" A few people yell before I get tackled.

"I should have expected this." I say and Chey laughs and helps me up. I scratch Akamaru behind his ear since he's worn out from the fast pace. "Good job Akamaru." I say to him with a smile and Akamaru licks my hand.

"So, I need your help." Chey says to me and I raise an eyebrow as I get dragged while Kiba laughs. "I need advice." Chey says as we sit in her office, me on her desk she in her chair that looks rather comfortable. "How did you manage everything?" Chey asks me.

"Everything?" I ask her confused.

"How did you manage your problems, a relationship, your duties, and helping us work together?" Chey asks me.

I raise an eyebrow. "Hmm, well, that's nothing to me, when I was in the Cloud I managed training, missions, angry people, problems, people, rapping, and stress, I managed to do all that by taking time to relax, but not all the time, just like a few hours, and I slept all day to avoid people, I trained by myself mostly, I purposely angered people, I only had minor problems and my hair color was fading, so, by taking time to relax, and using hair dye, I managed everything." I say to her and Chey looks at me surprised.

"Really, that's your secret?" Chey asks me and I hold up a peace sign with a smile.

"Yup." I say and she pushes me off the desk and I laugh on the floor.

"Seriously!" Chey yells at me in disbelief.

Kiba walks in with Jamie as Chey rants at me while I'm just laughing.

"What happened?" Jamie asks shocked and we abruptly stop and look at their confused faces.

"She said her secret to dealing with everything is to relax. That's so stupid!" Chey yells and I snicker.

"It's true, I relax from 2-3 hours in the evening since that's the best time." I say to her as I snicker at her frustration.

"No, you relax till you fall asleep and I end up having to carry you home." Kiba says with a chuckle.

"And? That's why I said its the best time to relax." I say to him and Chey's jaw drops at me.

"You need to tell me your secrets on how you get a lot of attention from your boyfriend." Chey whines.

I raise an eyebrow. "Uh, you need to chill, your boyfriend pays attention to you, Kiba just pays more attention to me cause our relationship is where our loyalties lie, right Kiba?" I ask and Kiba nods and Chey rants at me again while I just snicker.

"Gah! What am I going to do with you!" Chey yells at me.

I think about that for a second. "Relax, your too tense, that's why your blowing up." I say to her and she sighs.

"Fine, show me how to relax." Chey says to me and Kiba stops everything he's doing and looks at me.

"Show you how to relax? Ha, fine." I say and I open her window and I pull myself up onto the roof of the building and she follows me and I lay on the roof, getting comfortable and I stare at the sky. Chey lays down next to me.

"Why are you just staring at the sky?" Chey asks slightly annoyed.

I shh her every time she tries to talk. "Peace and quiet, are factors to relaxing, you need to loosen up your muscles and just relax." I say and I sigh in content while Chey fidgets and Kiba lies down next to me. "It's also sometimes a good idea to cuddle with your boyfriend while relaxing, it's got this soothing affect, I can't explain that part, it's just a feeling I get." I say and Kiba chuckles as I place my head on his chest and he wraps an arm around me.

"I don't understand." Chey whines. "How are you so good at this?"

"Time to call in Shikamaru." I say to Kiba and he nods in agreement and I get up. "Alright, I'll be back in a couple minutes, Kiba, do not let her leave this roof." I say to him and Kiba nods. I use my full speed and I get to the Hidden Leaf within five minutes and I run up to the Hokage office. "I need to borrow Shikamaru, right now." I say as I stop in the office to see Shikamaru's yawning and Kakashi reading a document.

"Why do you need me?" Shikamaru asks.

"You know how I'm just as lazy as you, but I refuse to admit it, well Chey doesn't know how to relax." I say and the two laid back guys look at me shocked.

"I understand. Fine, I'll come with you." Shikamaru says to me and I grab his shirt while doing a hand sign and I appear next to Kiba with Shikamaru, I used Dad's Jutsu.

"Woah, that was fast." Chey says shocked.

"Ok, I've gotten the expert relaxer of the Hidden Leaf, he's been lazy since he was a baby." I say and Shikamaru smirks. "Actually, we're both equal in that, Shikamaru's just a better teacher in relaxing." I say as I sit down to Kiba.

After an hour or so, Chey finally gets it.

I watch the sky as I lay next to Kiba with his arm around me and my head on his chest and I release a sigh in content.

"Can I go back now?" Shikamaru asks and I get up.

"Chey, was that all you needed from us?" I ask her and I see her sleeping next to Jamie and I smile amused. "I guess so, she was acting like a stressed out version of me, come on Kiba, lets get Akamaru and we can head back." I say and Kiba gets up.

The four of us go home and I head to the Inuzuka Compound with Kiba.

"Damn, all that relaxing has made me sleepy." I say and Kiba chuckles as he places an arm around my waist as we walk.

"Yeah, but can you cook dinner while I feed the dogs, Ma won't be home till tomorrow." Kiba asks me.

I nod. "Sure, if that's the case, what do you and Hana want for dinner?" I ask them both.

"You can go ahead and make whatever, I'm fine with whatever." Hana says to me with a smile and I look at Kiba.

"Same." Kiba says with a grin and I nod and walk to the kitchen of the main house. I look at what's in the fridge and in the cupboards.

"Hey Kiba, weren't we supposed to go grocery shopping today?" I ask.

"Oh, shit." Kiba says remembering and I hand him a list.

"I'll feed the dogs, you get the groceries and do not forget anything or Tsume is gonna kill us." I say and Kiba kisses my forehead and runs out the door. I feed the dogs and when I'm done, Kiba walks in with the groceries. "Good timing." I say and I put the groceries away while keeping some stuff out to use.

I make homemade chicken noodle soup and I grab the Italian Bread I had Kiba get, out and I put the stuff on the Dinning Room table.

"Wow, that smells really good." Hana says to me and I smile in thanks.

We eat and I do the dishes and I put the leftovers in the fridge for Tsume to eat tomorrow so she has something already once she gets back.

"Hey Babe." Kiba says as he places his arms around my waist and puts his head in the crook of my neck.

I smile and kiss his nose and I pull out my Icha Icha Paradise book and I sit on the couch and read while Kiba lays down with his head on my lap.

"Why do you even read that series?" Kiba asks me.

"You can blame Uncle, and the reason I'm still reading them is because my Godfather Jiraiya, wrote them, even though some parts are disgusting, his writing style is ok." I say and Kiba just nods and doesn't press me further, knowing that the topic of Jiraiya is sensitive for me and Naruto.

"You know, we could go for a walk." Kiba says to me and I shake my head.

"Your tired, I can feel it coming off you in waves, get some rest." I say and Kiba just smirks.

"You are really kind, always thinking about others first, that's what I love most about you Ami, your personality." Kiba says to me and I smile down at him.

"Get some rest or I'll make you sleep in the dog house." I say to Kiba and he chuckles and closes his eyes and humors me, but in the end he falls asleep.

I get handed a bunch of animal files from Hana. "Read through those, we get visits from them every other week, you should know who they are." Hana says to me as she plucks my book from my hand and puts it out of reach.

I nod and start reading when a name comes by. "Tora?" I ask and Kiba's eyes snap open at the name.

"The demon cat." He says to me and I make him go back to sleep.

I roll my eyes at the nickname and once I'm finished, I yawn and Hana smiles at me.

"Its late, you should get some rest." Hana says to me and I don't argue, I just lean against the side of the couch and I rest my head on my arms, falling asleep.

The Next Morning.

"WAKE UP!"

"GAH!" Me and Kiba yell surprised and fall off the couch.

"Why are you sleeping on the couch?" Tsume asks us irritated.

"Kiba fell asleep on my lap and I was busy reading through files and I fell asleep after, too tired to care where I was." I say as I get up. "Also, there's leftover homemade chicken noodle soup, I made it last night. It's gonna have to be heated." I say and Tsume nods.

"Who made it?" Tsume asks.

"Ami." Kiba replies and Tsume looks at me shocked.

"Hey, I've been cooking for myself and other people since I was a kid, unless I wanted burnt food or stuff that was too salted, or worse, partially cooked." I say and Tsume goes to the kitchen and I hear the microwave being used as I get up. "Lets, see it's the crack of dawn, Kiba, want to walk the dogs with me?" I ask him, realizing that I somewhere in the previous day, I had changed into my red and black plaid pajama pants and my black sweat shirt that I took from Kiba that has the Inuzuka symbol on the back.

"We didn't even get that much sleep, you look like a walking zombie, I'll walk the dogs and feed them this morning, you go to bed." Kiba says as he gets up and looks me in the eye with a hand caressing my cheek and I close my eyes as I lean my head slightly into his touch.

"Ok." I say to him and Kiba kisses my forehead and I walk to our house in the cool morning air. I walk to mine and Kiba's bedroom and I fall asleep under the covers.
