"So Leo, what are you doing out here?" The freckled mischief maker asked. "I'm on patrol. What are you doing?" He replied in curiosity. "I couldn't sleep so I wanted to get some air. I was just layin down on a roof not too far from here when I heard some noises so I decided to check it out." The only thing Leo commented back with was "Reason enough."
There was a awkward silence for another moment when Michelangelo decided to run at Leo. Before he could process what was happening, everything was blurry and his eyes were itchy. The smaller boy had thrown blinding powder at him. Leo couldn't see the younger ninja, but he could hear him when he said "You might actually be fun to hang around with, Leo. I'll see ya later bro!"

Leo walked back into the lair resisting the urge to scratch and rub his burning eyes. Raph and Donnie were the living room. Donnie was on his computer, probably searching for something. "Woah. What happened to you?" Raph asked. "I was hit with blinding powder. What are you two doing?" Leo contemplated on whether telling his brothers about his encounter with the oddly chipper ninja, that he suspected of being their 'late' brother, was a good idea or not. In the end, he decided to tell them. 'Even if they don't believe me, and even if it's not him, this is something important. They should know.' He concluded his thoughts.
"We are looking for Snakeweed's hideout. Hey, I think I just found it!" Donnie exclaimed obviously proud of himself. This caught Leo's attention as he rinsed his eyes. "Wait really, where?" "Okay The radial pattern of recent Snakeweed sightings indicates that his lair should be at the epicenter of 47th an-" before he could finish his explanation though, Raph covered his mouth. "Actually, you're on a need-to-know basis. And guess what. You don't need to know." But maybe telling them could wait. After all they seem busy, and he's not even sure it's the same Michelangelo.
And with that, two younger brothers walked out and went to do their own thing. Leo sat down and watched his favorite show, Space Heroes. After a few minutes his sensei walked in. "Leonardo, where are your brothers?" "I don't know sensei." The teen in the blue mask replied honestly. The large rat was confused. "What do you mean you don't know?" Leo sighed, trying to figure out how choose his next words. "Well. Raph thinks he can lead the team better than me, so I let him." He knew most likely where this conversation would go. No matter what he said. "That is not your decision to make." He said sternly. "But is it seriously too much to ask for a simple thank you?!" He asked slightly worked up. Splinter slammed his jade staff on the ground."Of course it is! Now, go find your brothers." The rat father commanded.

"I remember something about 47th street." Leo muttered to himself, walking towards said street atop the roofs of buildings. "What if I don't want to be leader anymore?" He spoke to himself. "Do you always talk to yourself, cus that's..that's kinda weird man." It was Michelangelo. He was sitting on the ledge of a higher building looking down at Leo. "Sometimes I'm the only one who'll listen." He replied back somewhat dejectedly. "Oh, I'm sorry." At this time, the smaller orange haired ninja had jumped down and was on the same roof as the blue ninja. "Don't be. It's not your fault. I mean, you're listening now right?" He said with a slight smirk.
"Well, yea I guess so. But talking isn't the reason I came here." This ninja was smirk as well, but there was motive behind it. "I wanna fight. You're obviously really strong, and I think it'd be fun! No offence to her but it get kinda boring fighting ne-chan and the recruits all the time. I mean, she's amazing at fighting and I do love her but sometimes a ninja just wants something new, ya'know?" He rambled. Leo stood there once again, absolutely befuddled. "Gah damn, this kid. I bet he's got ADHD or something." He thought before answering. "Uhm sure okay." He answered still a bit confused. "Great!"
"Now then, let's see how good you do against someone who can see." Leo said smugly. "Well let's see how good you can do against someone who's better than you." Michelangelo said with just as much ego. "Okay, well, uhm.. OH LET'S JUST FIGH ALREADY!" Leo shouted flustered by his inability to think of another comeback. (Don't worry Leo, you'll probably think of the perfect think while you're half asleep later.)
Michelangelo pulled out his Kusarigama and stood his ground as Leo charged at him. As the two fought, though it's likely that neither would ever admit it, they had fun. Metal clashed with metal. They doged each other's weapons. Every now and then they would each get a strike, a cut or a blow from the other. But it was different from their usual sparring partners, or the people and creatures they fought during missions. So yea, they were enjoying the slightly dangerous situation they were in.
"You really are good! No wonder we haven't caught you." Michelangelo spoke up. "Yea well it's not like Shredder hasn't been trying." He said, a hint of frustration in his voice. "Oh yea I know. It's the only thing he talks about. Revenge vendetta, revenge vendetta." The 15 year old said annoyed. The 17 year old however, looked amused. "What, I take it you don't approve?" He asked blocking another attack by jumping back a few feet. "No it's fine. I'm just saying, the dude really needs a hobby. Maybe collect smooth rocks? Those are calming." He stated.

A/N:
Most likely this book will update whenever I have motivation..
The last time I tried to write an actual book I set an alarm on my phone for a specific time, and I also did my best to make it at least 1000 words per chapter. I only knew what I wanted the book to be about, I didn't have a real plan so obviously I didn't get too far with that book lmao. That's why in the tags it's *hopefully I finish this*..
1 failed book and I just-
Idfk, ig we'll see where this goes.
Also, let's hope giving credit to where I got the idea for this book (Ao3) is enough to not get this taken down.
See ya later lil 'lotls
