"I'll protect you"

I woke up in a rather good mood which is very shocking considering sleep is my first love. For sleeping in a watchtower my back feels pretty good. I look down to see a little pallet consisting of a blanket and a jacket which kept me warm last night. I don't entirely remember what happened, but I remember Jimin beautiful face.

I hope he didn't freeze last night. Where is he? Did he fall off?!

I peered over the guardrail to look down. I saw some people by the gate and an old man tending the garden. 

The old man saw me peer out from the tower and waved. I forgot waving was a thing with all the dead people there usually more interested in biting my face off. I wave and duck my head back down.

I gather everything and put on his jacket, hoping to find him and give it back. I walked down the tower and made my way to the building. When I stepped inside my nose was pleased with a delicious smell rather than rotting flesh. They were cooking (F/F) (Favorite food) and I've never been happier. I hop happily to the cook.

"I'll do any kind of work you need done as long as I can get some of that." I say to them.

Jin turns around and is smiling at me.

"Shush shush I was gonna force you to eat anyway your too skinny!" I felt a nice warm feeling as if I were talking to my mom again.

"Thank you but I have to repay you somehow." I say back to him. By now people are starting to gather around the tables.

"Well everyone else has jobs, that's how things work around here. You will probably get one soon by Namjoon." He said while making me a bowl.

"Sounds fun!" I say to him.

I looked around to see different faces and but no Jimin or the rest of the guys. Jin gives me my bowl which I can tell has more than everyone else. He gave me a quick wink and turned around.

I scarfed up the food faster than I should have. I could feel eyes on me which made me uncomfortable so I looked down and slowed my eating. I finished my bowl after licking it clean and thanked Jin again.

I got up and went to where they said I would be staying. 

"Y/N!" Cassy called me over. I definitely have not missed seeing her.

"What?"I ask her not really wanting to be in this conversation.

"Namjoon told me to tell you to go get medical supplies at that little town about five miles out." She said to me.

"Why didn't he just ask me?" I ask her getting rather suspicious.

"Because he's very busy, he's like....the president here." She told me.

I think about it for a second. 

"He also said that it's your final test." She told me.

"Well what about you?" I ask.

"I don't have to do any tests. I guess they just like me. They probably think you were crazy from when they first met you." I clenched my fist hearing her talk.

"Okay....I'll go." I turn around not pleased but not questioning it.

I walk outside and to the gate, two guys were on guard.

"Good morning ma'am what do you need?" One of them rather tall with a mustache asked me.

"Uh well I'm going for a run" I say.

"Did Namjoon send you?" He asked.

"Yes he did" I said feeling a little upset they still don't trust me but trust that crazy bitch.

"What's the code?" He asked.

"What?" I said back. Cassidy didn't mention a code.

"Namjoon gives you a code depending on what you are going to go get so what's the code?" He asked.

I felt my stomach tighten and my face turn a light red. 

"It's baepsae" A voice from behind me said.

It was the other guard. I believe his name was Han. I met him my first day here. He's a little shorter but he has a riot gear on.

"Namjoon sent you too?" The guard asked and Han shook his head yes and walked me outside the gate.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"I figured I could help with whatever you're doing." He said. 

I just nodded. I wanted to go by myself but I guess it won't be that bad if he tags along. 

We walked a few miles which was  horrible on my feet. I didn't want to take a car because someone else might need it more than me.

After awhile I can see the beginning of the little town area. I pull out my red handled axe just to be safe.

We agreed to split up so I went to search for the medicine and I'm not sure where he went.

I bang on the door hoping any dead guys would just come out instead of me finding them the hard way. Lucky me there was just one and he was trapped. I killed him and moved on. The shelves were dusty and I started filling my bag with medicine and anything that might be important. 

When this all started I used to leave money when I took something. I wanted to keep that little bit of humanity but after a while I lost all sense of what the world used to be like.

 I sighed and grabbed all the meds I could. A loud crash came beside me and my heart started beating fast. I turned around and raised my axe when I saw it was just Han.

"You scared me..." I said giving off a little chuckle.

"You look hot when your scared" He said giving me a little wink.

I was starting to feel really uncomfortable and made my way out of the store. I closed my bag and made sure nothing would fall out if I needed to run.

"We should get back to camp before someone comes to look for us" I say opening the door to the store. 

"Hold on sweetheart theirs no rush" He said grabbing my wrist.  

I knew i shouldn't have trusted him...

"Let go of me or i'll chop your hand off" I threaten. I look in his eyes and see nothing. He looks happy if anything.

He just laughed and pulled me in and kissed me. His breath was horrible but that was the least of my problems. I felt his hand go under my shirt and trace my sides while the other one knocked my axe out of my hand.

He squeezed my wrist tighter so I decided to do the only thing I could think of. I bit down as hard as I could on his tongue and didn't stop till I tasted blood.

He pulled back in pain and yelled, I couldn't figure out what he was saying but I didn't care. What I didn't notice  was the gun in his hand. When he pulled away after I bit him a loud bang was heard. It was so fast I felt no pain at first.

I looked down and my side was bleeding. I tried to stop it by applying pressure but I fell down out of shock and the pain was now slowly setting in.

"Shit!" He shouted 

"Listen I am going to bleed out and as much as I don't want to be near you right now you need to help me!" I yell at him.

A little ways away I can see a group of zombies coming due to the loud gunshot. There moaning and groaning heard for miles.

"Okay okay but I will only help you if you don't tell them what happened!" He told me.

"I have to tell them what happened! Your the one who shot me!" I yelled at him.

"I didn't mean too! It was an instinct! Shit, you can't tell them what happened. I won't help you if you are going to tell them what happened." He looked at me and for once I saw panic in his eyes.

I don't want to lie to them but I will, I've come to far to die by a simple gunshot.

I nod my head in defeat.

"Good" He says.

He placed his arm around me and under my legs and I yelp in pain. He started running as fast as he could while carrying me. I started to slow down after a little while but I don't blame him. 

Half way there and I started feeling really dizzy. The world started spinning and I couldn't tell what was real or not.

"Hey stay awake! Come on! Were almost there!" He was yelling at me.

"If I die don't let me turn and be one of those things" I asked him and before I heard a response my head was struck with a sharp pain and everything went black.
