Elizabeth Schuyler and Kitty Livingston were sitting and talking on the Schuyler Mansion's porch when Eliza had noticed her friend wasn't paying attention to a word she was saying. "Kitty. Kitty.." Eliza was waving her hand in front of her friend. "KITTY!" She shouted. Kitty jumped and screamed. "HUH?! Oh sorry. Was I daydreaming again?" Kitty apologized to her friend. Eliza nodded her head. "What were you even thinking about anyway?" Eliza raised an eyebrow. "Oh nothing." Kitty didn't look her in the eye. "If you say so." Eliza took out her phone to check the time.

"Ugh. We have to go meet John and Laf in ten minutes." "What? Where? Not the school I hope.." Kitty looked at her feet. "Nope" Eliza said popping her "P". "Just the park. I'll go grab my keys." As soon as she said that Eliza got up and walked back into her house. Kitty sighed. She took out her phone to check her texts and saw that she had a text from Angelica, Eliza's older sister.

"Did you know there's a new kid?" "Um. No.. I don't think I really care either.." "You will when you see this kid. He's like SUPER hot." "Like 'gonna need sum sunscreen' hot or like 'hot dayum sizzle sizzle' hot?" "Ha. BOTH" "Omg.. seriously?" "Yeah I was talking to him earlier and I had to use all my strength not to ask him out." "Damn. Must be really hot if you wanted to ask him out." "yeah" Kitty looked up from her phone and saw that Eliza was by the car waiting for her. "Heh. Sorry.." She said to Eliza. "I gotta go, Liz is waiting for me" She quickly texted to Angelica.

"Who were you texting?" Eliza asked Kitty when they had gotten into the car. "Oh. Just Angie." Kitty replied buckling her seatbelt. "About the new kid, right?" Eliza questioned as she buckled her seatbelt and turned the engine on. "Yeah how'd you know?" Kitty raised an eyebrow at her friend. "That was all she texted me about this morning. About how hot the new kid is." She rolled her eyes. Kitty just nodded her head. Kitty was about to say something when she heard a weird noise coming from below her. She was going to tell Eliza but she guessed it was probably nothing.

John sighed as he looked down the road. No sign of her yet. She was usually never late to anything. One of the perks of Eliza. She was always perfect at everything.

"Relax, mon ami. She's probably just running a little late." Lafayette patted his friend on the back. "But she's usually never late!" John said worryingly. Lafayette rolled his eyes and walked over to his girlfriend, Adrienne. John didn't exactly like them together, but he wasn't completely bothered by it either. But it wasn't like her could do anything about it. Adrienne wasn't his sister.

Adrienne, who was laying down in the grass sat up and walked over to John and handed her phone to him. It was a text from Eliza. "Nous serons en retard, la voiture est tombée en panne." John sighed. He wasn't exactly the best with French. And he forgot that Adrienne wasn't exactly the best with English.

She saw that John was confused and called Laf over. Laf looked at the text and looked up at John. "They will be late, the car broke down." He gave the phone back to Adrienne. "The car broke down? I hope they're okay." John sighed. "They...are okay.." Adrienne said slowly giving John thumbs up and smiling awkwardly. "Thanks Dri." He smiled at her and Laf wrapped his arm around her and gave her a kiss on the head.

"Eliza I said I'm sorry!" Kitty was almost in tears. She had just told Eliza that she heard weird noises from the car after it had broken down.

"Kitty! My parents are going to kill me for this! Sorry means nothing!" Eliza groaned.

"Did you tell John we're going to be late?" Kitty asked trying to change the subject.

"No. He was going to freak out and we don't need him to do that so I texted Adrienne." She sighed trying to look at the engine.

Eliza groaned again and pulled her phone out. Kitty did the same. She opened up her messages and started texting Angelica.

"Ugh. We broke down and feel bad because I knew there was something wrong with the car.. :(" "Aw. I'm sure its not that bad. Eliza probs didn't even get mad at you." "Ughhh. You should've seen her. She was so mad. She was yelling and everything." "Oh jeez.." Kitty put her phone down as a car pulled up next to theirs.

A man stepped out of the car, he was shorter than average, maybe a little taller than Eliza. He had his hair up in a pony tail. "You girls need a ride?" He looked at me with a straight face and smiled at Eliza. I looked over at Eliza and saw something she had never done before.

She was blushing.
