In the morning when I woke up, I was lying across the sofa with my head on Zhan's chest. Zhan laughed when he saw me lying there like that, my feet peeking out from under my blanket, my hair standing straight up on end, and I had the imprint of one of his buttons from his top right on my cheek.

After showering, we even had time for a quick breakfast before we each got in our cars and headed to work. Seungyoun was already waiting for me impatiently because I texted him yesterday that I was going to spend the night at Zhan's house.

He saw me walking towards him and said, "Well, I guess you guys were just cuddling last night then."

"Mhhh? What do you mean?"

"Well, I'm sure you couldn't walk normally now if you didn't."

I immediately turned red in the face when I realized what he was talking about and replied, "That's none of your business. And not everyone is in pain afterwards. Besides, you had overdone it with Wooseok. Your first time and you did it three times at first."

"Ah don't remember that. He wouldn't let me touch him for three months after that."

"It's your own fault. I don't think I have to worry about that with Zhan. For one thing, he'll wait until I'm ready for more, and for another, I think he'll be very careful for sure."

"Mhm I see. You are very confident about your boyfriend. But I also think he'll be careful. And today is finally your big date then right?"

"Yes. Hihi. We already had a little date yesterday, just spontaneously. But today is our real date."

"And you'll be staying over at Zhan's house every weekend from now on?"

"Yes, for now. But if I want, I can sleep over at his place anytime. Like last night, too. That was really nice to fall asleep like that and wake up with him."

"I know what you mean. The first time Wooseok slept over at my place, it was the same. But better we get to work now. Not that our boss will have another reason to make us work late. Then your date won't work out."

"That would be fatal. Zhan will pick me up here today. The question is, what do I do with my car then? Do I leave it here until tomorrow and stay overnight with Zhan and then have him drop me off here?"

We went to the employee entrance of the hardware store, changed our clothes, and waited with our colleagues in the employee area for our boss to give us our schedule for the day. He came to us with a handsome man. He said, "So guys, this is your new co-worker. And even though his name is almost Identical, he is not the author Wei Ying. His name is Wei Yin. Please take good care of him and show him around."

Seungyoun and I stared at each other. "What if he is?" Seungyoun asked me.

Just the idea that this could be the author I admire so much made my heart beat faster. And then he was also assigned to me for today. I kept telling myself it wasn't him, the boss said it wasn't him. But still I was very nervous and kept asking myself, is it him maybe?

Wei Yin did pretty well for his first day on the job, but it had only been a few hours. He followed me wherever I went, and during the lunch break he asked me, "The way you're looking at me all the time, you must be wondering if I might not be the author after all, right?"

"Mmm, honestly I am." I replied.

"And what do you think? Am I the author or not?"

"I don't know."

"Test me. Ask me anything about the books." I mentioned various scenes from all 5 volumes and he rattled off what they were about and what happened next. My heart was beating almost to my throat. Could it really be him? Not even me, as a big fan of the author, could remember everything he could remember.

So I asked him directly, "Are you the author Wei Ying?"

"Yes, maybe I am." He replied with a grin. He suddenly brushed a strand of hair from my face and whispered, "I think you're really cute."

"I, I am not cute." I replied nervously. What was wrong with me all of a sudden?

Seungyoun looked at me angrily and told me to follow him. I ran after him and outside in front of the hardware store, at that point he spun around, jabbed his index finger against my shoulder, and asked me, "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"I wasn't doing anything." I replied, startled.

"Oh no? The guy claims to be the author and you're letting him paw at your face while you know you're in a relationship? Already forgotten who Zhan is?"

"I haven't forgotten. And I haven't done anything either."

"He's flirting with you and you're letting him. Why don't you tell him not to do that because you're taken?"

"I haven't even gotten to that yet. And it's not like he directly said he was the author."

"And his age isn't right either. The author is 29 years old. This guy is 27 years old."

"What are you trying to tell me?"

"I'm saying he's hitting on you and you should tell him right now to stop because you have a boyfriend."

"But..."

"Damn it Yibo, let your but. Stand by your relationship and keep him away from you. He seems weird to me. Who knows how many have fallen for that act just because he's pretending to be the author."

"Seungyoun, listen to me. I'm definitely not going to fall for him. And I'm not going to cheat Zhan either just because I'm talking to him. Maybe he's just pretending to be the author. But he didn't say he was. And yes, maybe others have fallen for him. But we can't know either."

"Well that's a good start. I can't wait to see how your Zhan reacts when you tell him about this guy and tell him he tenderly took a strand of hair out of your face."

"I..."

"Yeah? Can't you think of anything to say about that? Do you think this guy is really Wei Ying just because he knows the books and is handsome? Oh please Yibo. Don't be so naive."

Even though I know Seungyoun only means well and is worried about me, I'm still mad at him. Why does he immediately accuse me of falling for Wei Yin?

During the rest of the working hours, I avoided Seungyoun. Wei Yin told me that he had just moved here recently and was happy to get a job offer right away. He kept standing right in front of me, looking deep into my eyes as he talked to me. He smiled and also said several times how cute he thought I was and how great it was that I was a fan of the books.

Yes, it does seem a little strange to me. But, maybe he's just that open-minded or excited?

When we got off work, we all got changed and I noticed Wei Yin watching me. Seungyoun stood in front of me and said to him, "Can you please not look at my best friend like he's a delicious piece of meat?" I was totally embarrassed. But Wei Yin was cool about it and just laughed.

I went outside to my car to wait for Zhan when Wei Yin came over and talked to me some more. He stood very close to me by the hood of my car and put his arm on my shoulder several times when we talked about passages from the books.

Then when Zhan arrived, he looked very confused and even a little angry when he saw me and Wei Yin with his arm on my shoulder. And then when he hugged me goodbye, Zhan got out of the car and looked at me very angrily.

Wei Yin left and Zhan asked me, "Who is this and why was he holding you and hugging you?"

"Um, this is our new colleague. His name is Wei Yin. When I asked him if he was the author of the books, he said, yes, maybe. I think he might be. He really knows the books even better than I do."

"I see, so that's what you think. You really think this guy is the author? And that's why you allow him to get close to you? Am I seeing this right? If he's allowed to hold you in his arms and hug you, even though you just met today and you can't be sure he's the author, where do you draw your line? If he got you into bed?"

"Xiao Zhan! Think about the way you're talking to me right now and what you're insinuating!"

"And you think about how you would feel if you were me Wang Yibo! Here I am coming here full of anticipation for our date and I see you with this guy. And instead of telling him to keep his hands to himself because you have a boyfriend, you even let him hug you. What's up with that?"

The way Zhan reacted, I suddenly understood what Seungyoun was trying to say. And he was right. This was going too far. I shouldn't let Wei Yin approach me like this, and I shouldn't forget who I belong to and who is in my heart. Damn, I really am as naive as Seungyoun said.

"Zhan, I'm sorry. I'm sorry OK? I didn't mean to upset you and I will tell him tomorrow not to hug me anymore or put his arm on my shoulder. Don't be mad at me. I didn't mean anything by it. I know that I am with you. Besides, I'm in love with you and I'm certainly not going to cheat on you."

I walked up to Zhan and put my arms around him, "I'm sorry ZhanZhan. Please forgive me." I said. Zhan hugged me and held me in his arms for a few seconds.

"Trust me Yibo, he's not the author. He really isn't. And I don't think he wants a friendship with you either. I'm sure he's just trying to lead you around by the nose and get you into bed."

"I will set clear boundaries from now on ZhanZhan. I promise you. I'll also tell him tomorrow that I'm in a relationship. Seungyoun has already warned me today too."

Zhan pressed me close to him. He looked around for a moment and when he was convinced no one was looking at us, he gave me a little kiss. "You should listen to your best friend in this case. You should trust in what he tells you in these things."

"Mhm, I'll apologize to him tomorrow too because I didn't want to believe him."

"Alright my cute one. Shall we get started on our date then?"

"Yes. I've been looking forward to this all day."

"Me too. And Yibo?"

"Mmm?"

"I love you. Don't ever forget that." He looked me straight in the eye as he said it to me. For the first time he told me he loved me.

I gave him a kiss, not caring if anyone saw us, and replied, "I love you too Zhan." Then he hugged me again before we got into his car and drove downtown for our date.
