"Leave me alone!" I just need to loose them long enough to get to that tower. I know she's in there, I just need to get there.

"No! We hunt to kill!" Why did I think that would work? My cloak is in tatters and I'm all beat up. I haven't had time to heal myself for days now. I'm so close.

I duck into an alley and behind a dumpster.

Their heavy footsteps move slowly past the dumpster. I feel my whole body tense up. Moving would be suicide.

"Found you!" I jump as he slams his weird gun on my cloak. I struggle to get away as I hear my cloak start to rip.

I don't even care at this point. My cloak is always ripped nowadays.

As I weave between the buildings in hear them starting to fire their guns again. Time to step on the gas and get out of here. I remember what it was like last time I got hit by one of those bullets. Let's just say they're not normal bullets. I couldn't fly for a week. They hurt too. A lot.

If I had one of those I could get them to stop flying. Why did He have to give them demonic abilities?

Because he wants me dead that's why.

Get a hold of yourself! Focus on the task at hand! Not dying.

I hear them start to crash into buildings and break stuff. I can't keep going. I have to rest. I land on what looks like a pizza place in a pretty busy part of town. This might not have been the best place to rest.

"If you want to get away so badly why are you stoping?" One of the men asks.

"Exactly! The child is dumber than she looks!" They all cackle at his remark.

"Hey guys, how about we have a little fun with this place?" They use demonic fire to explode more buildings including the pizza place I'm standing on.

Someone grabs my cloak and yanks me off the roof. It's times like these when I regret having that thing pinned around my neck. I have to get it off me. I'll get it back later like I always do. I drop out of my cloak and disappear into the crowd of fleeing people.

I duck into an alley again and slide down the wall.

My hair is a mess. It covers my face like a curtain as I pant with my head hung low. I am so sick of running. I wish I could fight back but I'm not strong enough. That's why I need to find Raven. She's so much stronger than I am. I guess that comes with age. Or training. I know she's in this city. I know it.

"Come out here and fight like your father taught you! Come on! What are you scared?" Yes.

They blast more of the crowd.

I hear someone shout, "Look! It's the Teen Titans!" Who are the Teen Titans?

I peak out of the alley to see 5 teens floating in the air on a black disk.

In the front is a boy with a domino mask and a cape, next to him is an orange girl with pretty red hair, behind her is what looks to be some kind of cyborg, next to him is a thin little green boy with pointy ears, and behind him is Raven, her eyes aglow keeping the platform in reality. The boy with the domino mask shouts "Titans GO!" and Raven releases the disk and they all jump from it. They all split up.

I knew she was here. They must be the Teen Titans.

How do I get Raven's attention? Dare I come out of hiding?

I have to. But she's fighting one of them right now. I sneak out of the alley and around another building. I don't think anyone saw me.

Woah!!The green kid just turned into a T-Rex! I hope he doesn't spot me. I morph into the shadows just in case. That I can do.

"What is your business here?" I hear an extremely feminine and unfamiliar voice ask.

"Wouldn't you like to know." I hear the leader, Marik sneer. I move to get a better view. I'm still in the shadows.

"Yeah we would. Last time we saw someone like you it wasn't pretty." The boy in the domino mask states. He seems to be the leader. They're all tied up and the teens are standing over them. Raven lands in the back.

Last time?

"That was fun wasn't it? But this time your father doesn't want you Raven. He wants someone else." Marik smiles and evil grin.

What? Did the prophecy happen already?

"Someone else?" She repeats.

"Yep. Now if you excuse us, we need to find her or else we don't get our cut." Marik shoots demon fire at them and they're knocked back. I sink deeper into the shadows.

"Hey! Gem 2.0! Come out while you still can!!" Marik yells.

"Why should I?" I throw my voice. The teens look around confused. Raven in shock.

"Avia?"

"Who?"

"Shut up!"

"Leave them alone! Don't drag anybody else into this that doesn't need to be!" I shout.

"Too bad girl! They've already interfered!"

"You want me? Come and find me." I teleport across the street. I do this to mess with them. I'm stalling. That's all I'm doing.

"Titans! Find the girl!" The domino mask boy orders. Everybody shoots off in different directions trying to look for me. Every time my pursuers come close I teleport away and closer to Raven.

But I didn't realize Marik was behind me. He bumps into me and I jump out of the shadows as I shout. All heads snap to me, eyes like saucers.

"Well well well, trying to stall were we? And so close too. She's right here." He taunts.

"Shut up." I say bluntly. I scramble up from the ground. Raven is literally yards away from. "Where is my cloak?"

"What this? You don't need it." He raises the odd looking gun to my face and everybody freezes.

Out of the corner of my eye I see the orange girl produce green balls of energy from her hands and her eyes glow green, the cyborg ready some sort of cannon, Raven make balls of dark energy surround her hands, and the domino boy pull out a bird shaped weapon.

"What a nice little end to a chase. You get to die right in front of your sister." She smirks again.

"Sister?" I hear a squeaky male voice ask from behind me.

He cocks the gun.

I don't say a word. But I do fly upward. Not fast enough however, to dodge the bullet. It hits me in the leg and takes effect almost immediately. I manage to get up to the roof before collapsing there.

That was better than getting shot in the face.

I hear a lot of fighting bellow, then see Marik and his henchmen fly off over the bay.

Then the five of them come up to the roof. The domino mask boy has my ripped up cloak and Raven pulls her hood off. I wince in pain while clutching my leg.

"Hey it's alright they're gone." The domino mask boy says.

"They'll be back." I mumble. I am trying so hard to not let any blood escape my hands.

He gives me his hand and I take it. He pulls me up and I steady myself. Raven looks at me.

"Here." He gives me my cloak. "Figured you'd want this back."

"Thank you." I reply quietly.

"I'm Robin. This is Starfire, that's Beast Boy, Cyborg, and that's–"

"Raven." I cut him off. "Nice to see you again."

"Nice to see you too." She replies. It's nice to hear her voice again.

"Um Raven, you know her?" Beast Boy asks.

"I should. She's my sister." They all look at how in slight shock.

"Whats your name?" Cyborg asks.

"Agh...A-avia." I say quietly.

I wince again.

"Perhaps we should transport her to the infirmary." Starfire suggests. I start to sway as I loose my balance and feeling in my leg.

Then I fall on it. Shoot. Well that's not the best word to use in this situation.

Starfire picks me up and she flies toward a T shaped tower. Raven is behind me, and there's a boy in tights and a robot man on top of a green pterodactyl.

Never thought I'd ever say that sentence in my life.

They land on the roof and Starfire sets me down.

"Thanks..." She smiles brightly. They all seem very nice. If Raven is with them they must be ok. "This tower is big."

"It's even bigger on the inside." Raven says. In not sure if she's joking or not.

"And you have an infirmary?"

"This way." Robin leads us downstairs. I lean on Raven's shoulder.

I lay down on the bed.

A bed. I haven seen one of these in months let alone laid down on one. I instantly pass out.

Raven's POV

She's here. I kinda missed Avia. I'm always thinking about her. But I wish that I hadn't met her because of a crime alarm.

Figures it's my father. I can pretty much blame him for everything that goes wrong in my life.

She looks so peaceful sleeping. I wonder how long she's been running. I wonder when the last time she saw a bed was.

Now I have to prepare to be bombarded with questions.

"Azerath Metrion Zinthos." I make the bullet disappear and reappear on the table. She winced but then goes back to her original position. I quickly wash some water on it and start to bandage her wound.

"Raven! I did not know you had a sister!" Starfire stated.

I nod. "She is fourteen." I say without turning around.

"So she's your little sister?" I nod again.

"When's the last time you saw her?" Robin asks.

"It was before I left for earth. I haven't seen her since. I thought she was gone with Azerath after my father attacked."

"Guess not." Cyborg says.

"What could she be doing here?" Robin thinks out loud.

"I cannot help but wonder why those men wished to kill her."

"It's obviously Trigon. The question is why He wants her dead. I mean he wanted Raven alive more or less." Cyborg replies.

Done.

"What I want to know is what is with this bullet." I walk over and pick up the clean dented piece of metal.

"What about it?" Beast Boy asks.

"It looks different than other ballistics that should come out of a gun like that. Look." They all come closer. It doesn't have a rounded or even pointed tip. It's got a completely flat tip.

"Thats odd."

"Why would any bullet have a flat tip?" I look at Avia then back at the bullet.

"Hey is that a needle?" Beast Boy points out. We look closer and there's a small tip of a pin sticking out of the top of the bullet. Hmm. I pus the area around the little needle and it goes into the bullet at the slightest touch, causing the needle to jab outwards. Now you can see how long it is.

"Woah. That's a big needle." Cyborg sayw I'm slight awe.

"Has to be at least two to three inches." Cyborg states.

"A pressure pad." I say.

"The needle must be retractable." Robin adds. I get a shiver down my spine imagining how much this would hurt if it hit me.

"Why would this be shot at your sister?" Star asks. I have no idea.

"I don't know." I look at her again. She is a total wreak. Her clothes are ripped and tattered and it looks as if she's homeless. I guess she kinda was.

"Can she stay here?" Cyborg asks. "I doubt letting her back into the city would be a good idea."

"We do not have any vacant rooms."

"What about Terra's room?" I say.

"That would work." I look at her again.

"We should probably leave." Robin suggests. "I wanna look more into these guys."

"I'll come with you."

"Me as well!"

"Me three!" They all head for the door.

"Hey Rave, you wanna stay in here with her?" I nod without turning around. I hear Robin leave and shut the door.

Hello! Thank you for reading me book. Hope you like the first chapter. I came up with this idea while rewatching the episodes "Sisters" and "Birthmark". That's partially where the chance scene stemmed from.

Not to spoil anything, but I have Avia keeping from dark secrets from Raven so keep lookin for 'em.
