People in high school and in life will make up excuses to get out of anything. Like talking to someone or going somewhere and etc. One way you can tell us if something seems off. Like if you are having a conversation that turned in the wrong direction and someone uses an excuse to get out of the conversation like doing the dishes or something. Sometimes it can be relieving or just fill you with anger.
