Here for you - Part 10 - Viserys x Reader
Everything in italics, is High Valyrian
Viserys reluctantly placed his sister on her feet, as they got to the dragon pit. He had done his best to change her mind; to persuade her that she should rest and come and see Drakon later. But even tired, even just having given birth to their son, she was proving as stubborn as ever.
"Do you wish me to come with you..........?" Viserys asked, as Rhaenyra placed little Jaehaerys, into his mother's arms.
"No, we will be fine. Drakon will do us no harm. We will be back soon, and then I promise that I will go to my bed..........." (Y/n) replied, before placing a kiss to her husband's cheek. The queen giving her brother and the rest of the family present, a smile, before turning to make her way into the pit; her son in her arms, and Brāedāzma stretched across her shoulders as she slowly moved further into the darkness.

The light was low, but she could hear him. She had spent enough time with her dragon, to know his breath; to sense when Drakon was close. They had always had a deep connection; just like Brāedāzma and Jaehaerys, she and Drakon had been born at the same moment. His egg cracking, as she had been pushed from her mother's womb; Alyssa ensuring that her child was the first thing that the dragon saw, as it had pushed its way from the shell. (Y/n) doing the same, knowing that the newborn little creature, had to see her and Jaehaerys as the most important things in her life. And given the way that Brāedāzma had been watching Jaehaerys since (Y/n) had been handed him by Rhaenyra, it was obvious that the bronzed coloured dragon, already had a love for her son.
"Drakon........my sweet one..............." The queen called out. A smile coming to her lips, as she saw her magnificent beast appear before her. His large eye looking at the three smaller creatures, before him. (Y/n) moving closer, until she could rest her hand delicately on his head.
"Look........they are here, my son Jaehaerys, and your daughter Brāedāzma. The bells of the city are ringing for them; the people celebrating their birth..." The youngest child of Baelon continued, as she held up her son; Drakon sniffing at the little boy, until Brāedāzma began to hiss at her father; snapping at the air, as she did her best to protect the new heir.
"She loves him already, Drakon. She loves him just as I love you. She will be greater than Vermithor, greater than even Balerion was. And in time, together, they will rule the Seven Kingdoms, and the skies..............." The queen told the huge beast before her. Drakon lifting his head to listen to the still ringing bells of the Great Sept, before using his snout to push his child to one side, so that he could rest his nose against his rider and her son. Brāedāzma moving back up onto the queen's shoulder, so that she could continue to watch the bigger dragon.
"I love you too, Drakon. I will always love you; but I must leave. I need to rest, to recover. Though as soon as I am allowed, I will be back; and so will Jaehaerys." (Y/n) promised, before she placed a kiss on the dragon's head. Drakon reluctantly moving, so that she could leave. The great beast lighting up the expanse with fire, as his rider walked away.

Viserys was growing more and more nervous by the minute. Even though he knew that his bride, his sister and her dragon shared a bond unlike any other, he still could not help but feel the concern growing inside him. He could not lose either of them, he could not lose another wife and son. The king silently promising himself that if his sister's dragon so much as harmed a hair on their heads, he would ensure that the beast didn't live.
Suddenly, there she was, their child in her arms, and a dragon sitting atop her shoulder. The trio strangely reminding the King of the sigil of their House, as (Y/n) slowly made her way over to him. Viserys never so relieved to see anyone, or anything in his life, as he ran over to her.
"You're alright................."
"Of course. I told you, Drakon would never harm me, or our child." The queen replied, as she leant against her husband. Rhaenyra happily taking her new brother, as her father lifted his sister once more into his arms.
"Will you rest now...............?" Viserys almost begged, as the royal contingent made their way back to the Keep.
"I will, but only until I have recovered some of my strength has returned. I don't want Otto to get too comfortable; to think that I have stopped being a thorn in his side..............." (Y/n) replied, before resting her head on her brother's shoulder. Allowing her eyes to rest, as she was carried into their home.

Otto looked out of the window, as the royal entourage made their way from the dragon pits back into the Keep. He knew that he would not be allowed anywhere near the new heir. (Y/n) was so very different to Aemma. She was stronger, more intelligent; not one to be led. It had been so much easier to control the king, when the Arryn had been his wife. Aemma was the usual lady, caring or knowing little for politics or the running of the kingdom; happy to leave such things to men. To her husband........to him. But the youngest dragon, now that was a different matter.
She had been born to be a queen. She had always been interested in what went on in her grandfather's kingdom. The old Jaehaerys seeming to enjoy speaking to her of politics and battle; to enjoy explaining how a true monarch should rule. And it had always been obvious that (Y/n) didn't like him; that she didn't trust him. It now impossible for Otto to influence the king as he once had. And as had been noted in the small council, many of his duties had been taken from him by the queen. Though that didn't mean that he was ready to lay down and die; he was not about to roll over and capitulate. For even a little power was better than none; and as the queen had said in the throne room, he too liked to keep his enemies close.
