Family

Alright. It seems like we're going to name the kid Salient.

Whether it's a good thing or not you're going to have to wait to find out =)

And now another question of the week:

What is Salient afraid of the most?

a) being abandoned
b) loud sounds
c) darkness

I don't think I have to tell you how important it is-

-------------------------------------

Things were... Well, not good but not bad either.

Error now had a place where he could keep the kid! And far away from Ink's reach at that.

Truly amazing.

The problem was literally everything else.

Error had to spend his free time at the castle. He even got his own room, which he doesn't even need, mind you. He turned it into the kid's room.

It may not seem like something bad. And it really wouldn't be.

If it weren't for the other residents of the place.

Dust was quiet and only ever opened his mouth if he deemed it necessary. Well, if you didn't count the times he would mumble things to himself.

Error remembers how he asked him about it once and Dust just stared at him and said he's talking to Papyrus.

Error turned around and walked away immediately after hearing that

Horror was more talkative than Dust and would keep most of his thoughts to himself. But he was still no better than the crazy skeleton.

Error never liked how Horror would stare at him with that single red eye of his. He could never figure out what the unstable skeleton was thinking.

And then there was Killer. He was always jumping from one place to another and Nightmare was the only one who could essentially keep him grounded for some time.

Error was once almost stabbed by Killer as a joke. He didn't find it funny.

Last but not least - Cross. He was a pretty serious guy and was much more stable than the rest.

Error... Didn't really have anything against Cross. The monochrome skeleton would be the first person Error would think of if it ever came down to babysitting.

But in the and, they all had this one annoying trait that was driving Error crazy.

They were curious.

And that curiosity was aimed towards the baby.

Error basically had to watch over the child like a hawk to make sure none of the skeletons came near.

He'd either teleport to a different place in the castle with the baby, or he would confront whichever skeleton that tried to come close.

Most of the time it was Killer and Horror.

Didn't mean that Dust and Cross didn't try either.

One time. Only one time he had let Cross get close.

He expected countless questions.

But he only got one.

About their name.

Error's mind went blank for a few seconds.

He never really thought about naming them. Which was pretty stupid once he gave it some thoughts.

The kid was an important part of Error's life.

So, Salient was the first thought that came to mind.

Cross just gave him a slight smile before walking away.

... Error's been less avoidant of Cross ever since. Not that he'd ever admit it.

Besides, the kid seems to like him, so that's a plus.
