There Are Other Ways
"If you had to remove Nico and Hazel, it must be pretty bad," Percy cringed at the thought of Circe and Odysseus getting all up on each other.
[CIRCE]
There are other ways of persuasion
There are other modes of control
"God damn," Leo coughed, he knows that if Circe ever met him she would turn him into a pig and if Calypso ever found out that Leo called her cousin hot she would probably do the same but DAMN is Circe hot.
"Grow up," Jason said jokingly as he rolled his eyes.
"No, no, he's right," Piper piped in.
There are other means of deceit
There are other roads to the soul
There are other actions of passion
"Um... Circe, he doesn't look into it..." Thalia looked at the screen concernedly, magic moly or not, Circe is a goddess and the gods have a habit of forcing morals into stuff.
You have so much left to learn
Want to save your men from the fire?
Show me that you're willing to burn, woah
I'm weak, Leo thought.
[ODYSSEUS, CIRCE]
Who's to say, with the mistakes I've made (Don't be afraid)
"So this is pretty much Say No To This?" Annabeth asked.
Frank tilted his head, "What's that?"
"Er— It's a musical... About Alexander Hamilton. He's a son of Hermes! I thought it would be cool, don't judge me!"
That they will be thе last (Think of your past)
Mistakes I ever makе? (Don't break when)
[ODYSSEUS & CIRCE]
There is so much power, so much power
But there's no puppet here
"Bull," Thalia muttered under her breath, there is a lot of power there, if Odysseus doesn't act with Circe than she may never turn his men back into humans. She kept her doubts to herself, being one of the eldest there, she realised the others may not have realised it yet.
[CIRCE, ODYSSEUS]
This is the price we pay to love (I'm just a man)
There is no line, never enough (I'm just a man)
"Leo stop simping!"
"I'm not!" He blushed.
So much power, so much power (Forgive me)
But there's no puppet here
"Yep! Definitely not simping! Circe please don't stab me!"
Frank laughed at Leo's joke, making Leo smile proudly.
[ODYSSEUS, spoken]
I can't!
"He did what Hamilton could never do."
"What's that?"
Annabeth grinned, "Say no to that."
[ODYSSEUS]
Back at home, my wife awaits for me
She's my everything, my Penelope
And she's all my power, all my power
Jason frowned, feeling bad for thinking that Odysseus cheated on Penelope with Circe, he guessed Hera was right, he really was loyal.
But it's been twelve long years
Oh twelve long years since I have seen my wife
And now the god of tides is out to end my life
So I beg you Circe, grant us mercy
And let us puppets leave
[CIRCE, spoken]
Poseidon, eh?
"My dad isn't that bad!"
"Percy..." Annabeth looked at him with a 'come on' face.
"Okay fine, he's pretty bad here."
[CIRCE]
There might be a way to evade him
There might be a way to get home
Though this other way's very dangerous
It might be your one final hope
I know of a brilliant prophet
Thalia rolled her eyes, "Seriously?! Why a prophet?!"
"You have a history with prophets?" Annabeth asked, in the time that she knew Thalia, she never saw Thalia talk about prophets.
"Yeah, Hal Green, he told me that I would find my family again," she smiled as she looked at Jason, "I thought you were dead and he was crazy but he was right." Her expression went somber, "He also said..." her voice cracked, "That I would sacrifice myself for my friends and that Luke—"
"That Luke would betray us?" Annabeth asked.
Thalia nodded, "I yelled at Hal, I never forgave him, not even when he died but Luke— He... It stuck with him, because his mother said a similar thing."
Percy thought about May, the sweet old lady who made cookies for her son that would never come home, he wondered if she was still making cookies now, almost two years after Luke's death. "You know your dagger?" Thalia asked.
Annabeth nodded, feeling sad that she had lost it only a few months ago, "Hal gave it to Luke, making him promise not to make the same mistakes as him, looking back at it, I think that was where Luke's rebellion against the gods started..."
The mood in the room was somber, the demigods who never met Luke not knowing what to do or say and the others who did speechless. But there was one agreed upon thought in the room, Luke was a troubled guy.
Problem is this prophet is dead
"Welp time for plan B!" Leo joked, trying to lighten up to mood in the room.
Percy appreciated Leo's attempt and joined in, "Yeah! It's not like they can go to Hades and be like 'hi god of the underworld, your brother already hates my guts so do you mind if I steal one of your guys for a moment?'"
I can't get you home, but I'll get you to the Underworld instead
"Haha! You should see your face right now Percy, it's priceless!" Piper laughed, joining in.
I'll release your men, and I'll get you to the Underworld instead
[ODYSSEUS, spoken]
Wait, you're helping us?
"Ody is like, I can't believe that actually worked!"
[CIRCE]
There are many ways of persuasion
There are many modes of control
Maybe showing one act of kindness
Leads to kinder souls down the road
"I wish Milady," Reyna frowned, knowing Circe's fate.
I remember actions of passion
I have been in love once before
"Wait!" Percy turned to Annabeth, remembering something that he learned way back, "Doesn't Circe end up marrying Telemachus or something?"
"In some version of the story but not in real life, that bit was just fan fiction, in some other stories Telemachus also married Circe and Odysseus' daughter Cassiphone."
"EW!"
Maybe one day the world will need a puppeteer no more
Oh maybe one day the world will need a puppeteer more
[SOLDIERS]
So much power, so much power
But there's no puppet here
No she's not a player, she's a puppeteer
No she's not a player, she's a puppeteer
Yeah
"Another saga done," Frank grinned, "Now bring Hazel and Nico back!"
