29 | Jiper/Jasper
The sky didn't darken. Thunder didn't rumble. Lightning didn't flash.
All there was was a pained look across his face and his heart breaking.
His hands trembled, but he tried to make them stop. His heart felt like it weighed a tone, his stomach was churning and he felt sick.
"Jason?" Percy asked softly, but Jason didn't seem to notice.
All Jason could see was her. She looked beautiful, skinny jeans, a Camp Half Blood shirt and combat boots. Her hair was as beautiful as ever, spread out around her pretty face.
Everything seemed perfect except for one thing.
He couldn't see her eyes. He would never see them again.
They were shut tightly, tear stains trailed down her cheeks.
Jason wanted to scream. He wanted to break down and cry. But he couldn't. He knew he couldn't. Piper wouldn't want that. She wouldn't want him to cry over her. She would tell him to be strong. And he will. For her.
Big, hot, wet tears sprung into his eyes, threatening to spill as he held her close.
He squeezed his eyes shut.
Maybe this was just a dream? Maybe this was just a silly, silly dream and he'd wake up to find her next to him, fast asleep? And she'd open her beautiful eyes, and he'd see them again, changing colour all the time?
Then he couldn't handle it.
He carefully placed her unmoving, motionless body on the ground.
He stood up, and took a look at her.
Then, he ran. He ran and ran, he ran to his cabin.
He threw open the door and slammed it closed. He kicked the door, once, twice, three times, then threw a chair across the room. It smashed against a column, making a loud crash.
But Jason didn't care.
He sat on the edge of his bed, tearing at his hair and trying to get the anger out.
Piper wouldn't want this. She would say to him in her charismatic voice, "You don't need to cry over me, I'm not that special."
Then he'd kiss her and tell her how much He's loves her and-he grit his teeth, trying to calm down.
Jason slowly lowered himself to the ground, pulling his knees up to his chest.
He took big, deep breaths, and slowly his heart rate slowed to normal.
Jason stared at the wall in front of him.
And that's all he did, for the next two days.
-
On the third day of since Piper's death, Jason got up.
He walked outside.
He went to the training arena.
Grabbed his sword.
He stood in front of a dummy, ready to attack.
He then broke down in tears.
Big, wet, heart broken tears poured down his face. His body shook with sobs. A scream came from his lips as he threw his sword across the arena, not caring about the other demigods.
And this time, the sky darkened.
The thunder rumbled.
The lightning flashed.
Jason fell to the ground, clutching his heart and heart breaking screams escaped from his mouth.
He started to choke on his own sobs and that was when Thalia decided to come forward, wrapping her arms around her brother, rubbing her hand around in circles on his back.
Jason started to quieten down after a bit, slowly the sobs stopped, the screaming stopped and now only tears ran down his face.
Thalia let go of him, standing up.
"I have to go." His voice sounded croaky, since it hadn't been used in a very long time. "I need to be with her. I need to. I can't live without her."
He didn't meet any of his friends eyes as he stood up. The last thing he said to them was, "I'm sorry."
And he ran off, past the cabins, past the Big House, the lava wall, all the way to the lake.
He ran to the edge of the jetty, looking down into the murky depths of the lake.
He saw his reflection in the water, and he wasn't too surprised at what he saw.
His eyes were red and puffy, and the spark had dissolved in them. His hair looked greasy and almost brown. His lips were cracked and his clothes were dirty.
He turned his back on the lake, to see Camp Half Blood, his home, for the last time.
Then, he let himself go. Camp Half Blood was slowly getting further and further away. He felt himself splash into the lake, the water consuming him. All he could hear was the water moving, and then all he could see was the light, from above the water. It shined down on him as he sank, deeper and deeper into the water. He opened his mouth and said four words, those words he'd wished he'd said every day to her, before everything went black.
"I love you, Piper."
Hi everyone! I figured I hadn't done Jiper in a while, so I thought, why not, there's nothing holding me back! I hope you liked it and bye! Remember to comment on anything you would like! 😄😄😄
