It wasn't as if this was normal. 

And by this, I mean jumping into one of the aquarium tanks. Sure, the staff do disapprove, and sure, the animals get disgruntled, but I can't stay away from the sea water. I slowly breathe in and smile. The the water that goes through has a freshness you can't get from ocean breeze. "Y/n!" A manta ray-like creature hugged me tight. "Hey, Cro!" I kissed Cronus on the nose. "How's everyfin?" I giggle; one of the workers taught me a bunch of fish puns, and I use them to annoy Cro as much as possible! "All's good," He drawled, nuzzling into my neck. "Eridan's still not ovwer Miss Magenta there." I giggle again. Eridan and Feferi would be adorable! However, one of the workers would better with him. I swivel around to see a slightly sad face. "Cro?" He isn't usually sad. In fact, the only time I had seen him saw is when I moved tanks. He hugs me again. I knew he liked physical contact, but today he was over-hugging. "What's wrong?" I ask, confused. "Nothing, babe. I just wvant to say I lovwe you." He kissed me on the lips, tasting of sea water. "I love you too!" I say back happily. If he doesn't want to tell me, that's fine. he deserves his privacy.

Why didn't he tell me? I watched with tears in my eyes as I saw the team of workers take Cronus out of his tank. My tank was sealed, the workers knowing I would jump out to get him. Cronus smiled at me, purple tears drenching his face. He was going back home. Without me. I swim over to the corner of my tank. I don't want to look at him. I heard struggles from the workers and suddenly, a knock on my tank. I don't bother looking over. "Babe, you'll be there soon, just a wveek more," Cronus says, trying to make things better. It won't get better. "I wvouldn't dream of leavwing you." I swirl around to see a teary, depressed Cronus. The workers behind him getting back to their feet. I swim over, placing my palm where his is. He smiles and places his forehead on the glass. "I swvear I'll be at the coast wvhen you get better. I just need to get something." I nod, tears flowing into the water. "Jesus, why did you struggle?" groaned a blonde worker. He carefully picked up Cronus and walked over to the entrance. "Cro!" I yell. He looks back to me and smiles once more. "I love you!" His eyes were full to the brim with tears. "I lovwe you too." I go back to my corner and sob. Why did he go without me?

I rub my eyes. I haven't slept for so long. I miss Cronus's arms around me. I miss his laugh. I miss his smile. I miss him. My eyes begin to overflow again and I curl up even smaller. It's been a week and I still can't leave the aquarium. I swim dazedly around the tank, the visitors looking awed at my ability to move underwater. Just like everyday. I rub my eyes again and stare back at everyone. Some looked bored. Some looked tired. Some looked done. Same here humans, other creatures have those same problems. "Okay, visitor, it's closing time!" Sang a worker. "Say goodbye to Y/n, because today she's getting released~!" I perk up. The kids are sad and the adults were comforting them, but they instantly 'oohed'. I am so happy! I do little tricks in the water, smiling my biggest smile. The lights go off and everyone files out as I try to open my tank. "Okay, okay!" chuckled the blond  who took away Cronus. "Ready to go back?" I nod and clamber into his arms. He lightly picks me up and we start walking to the water on the beach. Once we were about two feet away, I struggle and plop onto the ground. "Hey!" I start crawling away and go into the water, the sea feeling so nice on my scales. I laugh and wave goodbye to the worker. He smiles and waves me away and starts walking back. Now, to find Cronus!

I make loop-de-loops in the water, giggling and humming. The water wasn't as clean as the aquarium water, but there were more creatures to play with and much more friendly fish to tell me the directions to Cronus's home. Since he was still a major food chain animal, his father made a big home in one of the ruins. I swim over to see guards. "Oh," I say, a bit on edge. "Hello, I was wondering if I could talk with Cronus?" The guards glared at me. I quailed under their look. "Please?" I squeak. They let me through and I instantly swim away from them. They were a bit scary, to be honest. "Cro?" I swim around the place. I can't find him. I feel my eyes water a little bit as I continue to search. "Y/n?" I swivel around to see a rushing sea creature. Cronus full on bear-hugs me and squeexes me tight. "Y/N!" He starts crying a little bit and looks at me. "Howv wvere they at the place? Are you okay? Wvas evwerything good like wvhen I left it? Oh my Gog, I missed you!" He didn't give me time to answer any of his questions. I hug him tight and the tears mix into the water. He holds me out and laughs. I kiss him full on the lips and he smiles into it. " I need to ask you a question," He says, while I was cuddling into him. I nod, not wanting to let go of him. "Wvould you mind.." He trails off at the end. I look into his violet eyes and stare curiously. He blushed bright purple and blurts, "Babe, wvill you marry me? Wvould you like to stay in the ocean wvith, or wvithout me?"

I felt my face go numb. I heard my voice say yes, and I heard Cronus shout for joy. Then, I felt everything. He was kissing all over my face, my hands, my neck. I hug him tight and yell, "Yes, yes, yes! With you!" He held me close and kissed me again. I will always be with him.
