**Personal headcanon that troll sweeps are also used with the aquariumstuck/merstuck/otherstuck!**

"Mama, can we go to the sea horses next? A young girl begged her mother. The woman chuckled and nodded, the little girl squealing. Cronus looked from afar; he was in the exhibit next to the sea horses and always wished he could move closer to the other creatures like him. But today, he wished he could see the little girl better. He scooted closer to the glass, following the little girl with his eyes. He doesn't know why he was so intrigued with this human, why, she looked like all the other little 3 sweep year-olds, like himself. But her hair shone in the sunlight like colored glass and the smile spread on her face made other smile as well. 

She felt eyes following her. She looked around and saw a whirl of bubbles from the tank next to sea horses. Her mother was preoccupied with a word puzzle, so she began walking over to the tank. She saw some yellow eyes peeking out from behind a rock. She giggled, but then gasped when she saw the purple thing. Cronus shyly wandered over to her. "Hello," She said in an awed voice. Cronus waved. She grinned. "What's your name?" Cronus breathed on the glass, making it fog up and spelled it out carefully. "C.. Cronus?" She asked. He nodded happily and pointed at her. "I'm Y/n! Want to be my friend?" She asked like the innocent six year old she was. He nodded again and did a little flip in the water. "N/n, honey, it's time to go home!" "Coming!" Y/n yelled back. "I'll be back, okay Cronus? I promise!" She waved goodbye and Cronus could hear her say to her mother, "Mama, I met a new creature! He's my friend now."

Of course, that was a long time ago. Cronus figured the girl had long forgotten him, and he almost forgot her. But, not quite. he could still imagine her Cheshire grin and shiny h/c hair. He still remembered how small she was, and even her name! Y/n. 

He sighed as he circle lazily around his tank. The admirers were becoming old and he didn't feel like learning new tricks. Not when a new worker is here! He saw the girl recently, making him confused. The girl looked so familiar, it was scary! He followed the girl with his eyes, being interested. She looked about his age; 9 sweeps, maybe younger. She was smiling widely and shaking the hand of the Captor volunteer. She had a name tag that blinded Cronus, so he couldn't see it. She looked around in wonder but also recognition, like she's been there. Captor says a few words making her laugh. Cronus gets a little jealous; he should be the one make her laugh. Why did he think that? He shakes his head and blushed purple. The girl looks over and lights up. She mumbles a quick goodbye to the Captor and runs over, looking awed. Cronus gets reminded of the little girl with shiny hair. He blushes again at the memory flash. "Hi!" She says sweetly. "It's been a while, hasn't it Cronus?" The creature's eyes widen. Of course! He was so stupid in not remembering. "Y/n?" He asks. She flashed him a smile and pointed up. The top of the tank was up, and a gangplank was set up for when they needed to feed him. She began walking towards the stairs to get there, and instantly Cronus swims up. She takes off her shoes and socks, her feet trailing in the water. Cronus hops up with her and hugs her. She giggles and hugs back, happy to be with the friend she met at six years old. "Wvell, doll, alwvays knewv you'd come back." Cronus says in a flirtatious tone. Y/n rolled her eyes and replied with a, "Says the one who's desperate for someone." Cronus blushed and nuzzled closer, almost pushing the girl into the water. "Whoa, man!" She laughed. "You barely remember me, and already you're falling head over tail over me!" He nodded and blushed again. Even the Piexes girl and the Vantas reader never made him feel like this. "Oi, lovebirdth!" Someone yelled. Both of the people jumped and looked down. Captor was looking at them annoyed. "I gueth I didn't need to find you a job. Y/n, caretaker of.. Cronuth." He quickly writes int down on a clipboard and nods at them. "If you fall in, I'm not getting you out." Y/n nods and giggles again. "I guess wve'll be seeing more of each other doll face?" Cronus said. Y/n nodded and hugged him. "I don't think I mind that."

It's amazing what a small talk can turn into. It's a wonder that it all started after a small introduction.
