-The Next Morning-

Kayla's POV

I wake up to a squawking noise. "Why Lady Princess." I mutter and I get out of bed and I grab my usual outfit and I walk to the bathroom and I shower and I change and I leave my hair wet down and I put on my Jonin vest and I walk out and I walk to my room and I put my ninja gear on. "Yuzuki get up we have to go to the Hokage's office." I say to her.

"Just like 2 more hours." Yuzuki says curling up on the bed.

I sigh. "You better be awake by the time I get back Yuzuki." I say and I walk out of my room and I close the door and I walk to the kitchen and I grab a piece of toast and I walk out of the house and I see Gaara on the roof. 

"Morning Lady Kayla." Gaara says to me.

"I hate mornings. Anyways I have to head to the Hokage's office if you want to come you can, Matsuri is asleep." I say to him.

"I'll stay here." Gaara says to me.

"Alright see ya later Lord Kazekage." I walk to the Hokage building and I jump in through the window. 

"Ah Kayla your here." Lady Tsunde says to me.

I grumble and stand in front of her desk. "Why did you wake me up?"

"Ah right we have another meeting later be here and on time." Lady Tsunde says to me.

"Ok see ya." I jump out the window and I land on my feet on the ground and I walk to training ground 11.

"YOUR LATE." Yuki and Isamu yell while Yoru nods with them.

"An old lady needed help so I helped her carry her groceries to her house on the opposite side of town." I lie.

"LIAR." Yuki and Isamu yell while Yoru just nods with them.

I roll my eyes. "Ok you guys get to work on that medical jutsu scroll that I gave you yesterday." I say to them.

"Yes Sensei." They say and get to work.

A few hours pass and I walk to the meeting and I walk in the room.

"Your late Kayla." Lady Tsunde says to me.

I laugh nervously. "You see-"

"I don't want to hear another excuse." Lady Tsunde says to me.

"Kakashi were you late to?" I ask him.

He laughs nervously.

I stand next to Kakashi.

"The Chunin Exam nominations." Lady Tsunde says.

I tune out until its my turn.

"KAYLA PAY ATTENTION." Lady Tsunde yells.

"My turn?" I ask and she nods. "Alright I nominate Yoru Naitokuran, Yuki and Isamu Sunokuran." I say to her.

"WHAT." Iruka yells.

More stuff happens.

"I taught those children I know their strengths and weaknesses." Iruka says. "These exams could kill them."

"Iruka." I say to him.

"Yes Kayla?" He asks me shocked I didn't call him sensei.

"Shut it, I am training Yoru, Isamu and Yuki, you aren't. If I think they are ready, then they are ready." I say to him.

Iruka and everyone else looks at me shocked by what I said.

I sigh. "Iruka whether you like it or not, they are ready." I say to him.

The meeting ends awhile later and I walk out the door and I walk back to my house and I see Gaara isn't on the roof and I walk in and I see Gaara on the couch with Matsuri talking and I nod and I walk to the kitchen silently. I make some ramen and dango and I set it on the table and I walk behind the couch. "OGGA BOOGA." I yell.

Gaara tense's visibly and Matsuri screams.

I laugh. 

"Lady Kayla." Gaara says to me.

"Lord Kazekage, Matsuri there is food on the table." I say to them and I grab my share and I sit in the living room on the floor while thinking and eating.

"What are you thinking about Lady Kayla." Gaara asks behind me.

"Nothing." I say and I finish eating and I get up and I put my plate in the sink after I walk to the kitchen and I walk to my room and I see Yuzuki still asleep. "Yuzuki wake up seriously if I couldn't sleep any longer neither can you." I say to her.

"Yes ma'am." She says half asleep and she gets off the bed and stretches and we walk to the kitchen and I get her, her food and I set it in front of her. "Thanks Lady Kayla."

"No problem." I sit on the counter while playing with a sebon unconsciously while thinking.

Yuzuki finishes and I put her stuff away and we walk out of the house.

"Want to go to Hana's place?" I ask her.

"Sure." Yuzuki says and we walk to the Inuzuka compound and we walk over to Hana. 

"Hey Hana." I grin and wave a little.

"Hello Kayla and Yuzuki." Hana says to us.

"I have nothing to do and Yuzuki is bored as well." I say to her.

"Well you know Mom lets you in  our library so you can go and read if you want." Hana says to me.

"Thanks Hana." I grin at her and I walk to the library of the compound leaving Yuzuki with Hana.

"Ah Kayla here to read?" Tsume asks me.

"Yeah I have nothing to do." I shrug.

"Well your aloud in so go ahead." Tsume says to me.

"Thanks Mrs. Tsume." I walk in and I wander around and I grab a book and I sit down and start reading.

A Few Hours Later

I shut the book and I stand up and I put the book back where I found it and I walk out of the library. "Thanks Mrs. Tsume." I bow and walk out of the compound and I walk to my usual hill and I sit down and I look at the sky.

"Your so troublesome Kayla."

"And your such a pain Shikamaru." I say smirking.

"So why are you here?" Shikamaru asks.

"No missions equals a bored me." I say to him.

"Why don't you read in the Inuzuka compound?" Shikamaru suggests.

"I did." 

"So you have nothing to do and aren't you supposed to be escorting the Kazekage around?" Shikamaru asks.

"Yes I am but he's at my place in the living room with Matsuri, teaching her about weapons." I say and I touch his forehead with my pointer finger to show him and I retract my hand.

"I see so you have nothing to do." Shikamaru says to me.

"Yep." I lay down on my back next to Shikamaru and we watch the clouds in a comfortable silence.

I doze off after a while with my hands under my head.

Shikamaru's POV

I hear Kayla's breathing steady and I look at her lazily and I see she fell asleep.

"Your so troublesome." I mutter and I look back up at the clouds. "She must have been tired." I mutter.

"Why?"

"Hey Naruto. I don't know." I shrug and I look at him.

"I will take her to her house so she can rest." Naruto says to me.

I nod. "Also the Kazekage and his student is staying with her so I would enter through her bedroom window, she leaves it unlocked during the day." I say to him.

"Right." Naruto picks up Kayla in his arms and runs off.

Naruto's POV

I pick up Kayla and I run to her house and I open her bedroom window silently and I jump in and I set her on her bed and I sit on her couch.

A Couple Hours Later

Kayla's POV

I wake up and I notice I'm not on the hill and I sit up and I see Naruto asleep on my couch and I smile softly.

I get up and I walk over to Naruto with a blanket and I put it over him. I lock my window after I close it and I walk out of my room and I see Matsuri on the couch looking bored. "Yo."

She looks at me shocked. "When did you get here?" She asks me.

"Uhh." I scratch my head thinking. "I don't know about a few hours ago." I say to her and I walk to the kitchen and I make some dango and I walk to the living room and I sit on the couch next Matsuri and I hand her a stick of dango and we eat.

"This is delicious thank you." Matsuri says and takes a second stick.

"Thanks." I throw a sebon at a sand eyeball and it leaves. 

"How do you keep doing that?" Matsuri asks.

"Doing what?" I ask.

"Knowing if Gaara-Sama is watching?" 

"Oh I just know when people are watching its kind of like a sixth sense." I explain to her as we finish off the dango I made.

I get up and put the stuff in the sink and I walk to my room grabbing my pajama's and a fishnet long sleeve and I walk to the bathroom shutting the door behind me and I strip and take a hot shower.

I get out of the shower and I put my fishnet long sleeve on and my black long sleeve shirt on and my black pajama pants and I walk out with my clothes and I put my Jonin vest on a chair on my room and I throw my clothes in a corner and I walk out of my room and I slip on my ninja sandals and I leave my hair wet and down. 

"Where are you going?" Gaara asks as I walk outside. "Especially in that."

"None of your business I just have to do a few things." I say shrugging and I close my house door and I put my key in my hair as a pin type thing and I get stopped by Gaara standing in front of me. "Your in my way for a reason aren't you." I ask him.

"Tell me where you are going." Gaara says to me.

I walk past him. "I have to pick up Yuzuki, she's gonna be a furious wolf if I'm any later than I am now." I say walking with my head up looking at the stars.

"I see." Gaara says and looks at me.

I look at him following me out of the corner of my eye and I continue walking while looking at the stars.

We get to the Inuzuka compound a few minutes later and I hear something running my way and I jump out of the way just in time and Yuzuki turns around right when I land on my right hand and she runs at me again and I jump back a few paces trying to escape her and she keeps running at me and I jump down the street dragging an unfortunate Gaara with me and I run back to my house still dragging Gaara and I unlock my house and I step out of the way dropping Gaara on Yuzuki's back as she runs in the house and I close the door and lock it and I stand outside the house.

I walk down the street rubbing the side of my arms silently cursing myself for not bringing my coat. I sigh and I continue walking around with no destination.

A coat lands on me. "Here."

"K-Kiba?" I ask turning around to look at him.

"You shouldn't walk around outside at night, it gets cold." Kiba says to me.

I look away embarrassed. "Whatever I was just escaping Yuzuki so I didn't have time to get my coat." I mutter.

Kiba walks next to me silently.

"Your quiet, what's wrong?" I ask him while I look at him through the corner of my eye.

"Nothing." He says to me.

"Doubtful, your never this quiet unless somethings bugging you." I say to him.

"You." Kiba says to me.

"I'm bugging you?" I ask him stopping in my tracks while looking at him.

"You aren't you." Kiba says to me not looking at me.

"How so?" I ask confused. 

"You aren't jumping or running around like you usually do at night and during the day." Kiba says turning around to look at me.

"Oh is that all." I mutter and I look at the stars.

"Why aren't you being you?" Kiba asks me.

I stay silent.

"Kayla tell me why." Kiba says to me.

"I don't know." I say quietly. 

"What do you mean you don't know." Kiba says to me.

"It means what it says, I don't know." I say looking at him calmly. "Besides when have I started to not act like myself." I say to him.

He thinks for a while then looks down feeling guilty. "Its because of me isn't it?" Kiba asks me.

"I don't know, I just don't know anymore." I say to him and Tamaki walks past and Kiba looks at her with interest. I walk away silently as he stares at Tamaki.

I get nudged and I look down to see Akamaru. I bend down and scratch under his chin. "Akamaru, here." I put Kiba's coat on his back. "Can you give that back to Kiba?" I ask him.

Akamaru nods and looks at me worriedly.

"I'm not gonna do anything so don't worry." I say reassuring him. "Well see you later Akamaru." I say and I walk to a tree and I jump up it sitting on the top branch and I look at the stars. 

"Yo." 

I fall out of the tree and I land on my back. "Kakashi, why just why." I ask him annoyed.

"You were alone, I just was making sure your ok." Kakashi says helping me up from the ground.

I roll my eyes and I stand against the tree. "I hate people." I mutter.

Kakashi sweat drops. "What happened now?"

"Oh you know I was talking to Kiba and the Tamaki walks past and Kiba stares at her and I leave and all that jazz." I say sarcastically.

"Your jealous." Kakashi confirms.

"Am not." I mutter.

"If your not what are you?" Kakashi asks me.

"Over him, I am not getting broke again." I say with my arms crossed over my chest.

"Uh huh." Kakashi nods. "What are you gonna do now?" He asks me.

"What do you mean?" I ask him confused.

"About your feelings what are you gonna do now?" Kakashi asks.

I stand there stumped. "I don't know." I say to him. "I guess I will just wing it for now until I know what I'm gonna do." I say to him calmly.

"Follow your instincts and dreams is my advice." Kakashi says to me.

I nod and I jump back up into the tree and I sit on a middle branch and I sit there with a blank face as I think about what to do.

"Kayla what are doing." Kakashi asks sitting in front of me.

"Thinking." I say simply and Kakashi stares at me strangely. "Staring is rude Kakashi." I say looking up at him with a calm façade on.

"You aren't you." Kakashi says to me.

"Why does everyone say that. I'm just annoyed I mean come on." I rant for a few minutes about that.

I lean my back against the trunk of the tree and I cross my arms.

"You done ranting?" Kakashi asks sweat dropping.

"Yes." I simply say and I close my eyes and I drift in and out of consciousness.

"Get some rest." Kakashi says to me reading his book.

I fall asleep after a while after trying to stay awake for a few minutes.
