Jungkook's POV:
"Huh, that pussy would've been very fun if we had caught her."
"Yeah, but man, she ran like an ostrich."
"I was so damn hard when I saw her hair and eyes. Such a good, warm pussy she would've been."
My brows furrowed as I heard them. Were they talking about Moon? No, it couldn't be...
"She was limping, yet she ran so fast, damn."
I turned my face to them. "Limping?" I asked. They glanced at me. "I asked, was she limping? More injured, was she?"
"Hey, you sick fuck, off," one of them cursed at me.
"Today's not a good day. First, we didn't get that pussy, and now this sick bastard—" That was the last straw of my patience.
Without a second thought, I lunged at the nearest guy, my fist connecting with his jaw. He stumbled back, crashing into the wall. The others tried to intervene, but I was quicker, my anger giving me the edge. I threw punches, each one fueled by the fear and desperation of losing Moon.
"Where is she?" I demanded, grabbing the collar of the guy who had spoken about her. "Where did she go?"
He sputtered, his eyes wide with fear. "I-I don't know! She ran down the alley, towards the main road!"
released him, pushing him back into the wall. "If I find out you touched her," I hissed, "you'll regret it."
But before I could move, the other two guys rushed me, pushing me down. I chuckled darkly as I stood back up, wiping the blood from my lip. "Big mistake," I muttered, cracking my knuckles.
One of them swung at me, but I ducked, delivering a solid punch to his gut. He doubled over, gasping for air. The other tried to grab me from behind, but I twisted free, elbowing him in the face. Blood spurted from his nose as he stumbled back, clutching his face.
The first guy recovered and aimed a punch at my face, but I blocked it with my forearm and countered with a hook to his jaw. He went down hard, his head smacking against the pavement. The second guy, despite his broken nose, lunged at me again. I sidestepped, grabbed his arm, and twisted it behind his back, forcing him to his knees.
"You should've stayed down," I growled, before slamming him face-first into the wall. He crumpled to the ground, groaning in pain.
Just then, Jimin appeared, running towards me. "Jungkook!" he yelled, taking in the scene with wide eyes. "Have you gone mad? I told you not to do anything reckless! What if Mr. Jeon finds out?"
_
I wiped the sweat from my brow, breathing heavily.
I couldn't stop. Not until I found her.
"Moon, where are you?" I whispered, desperation clear in my voice. Just then, my phone buzzed with Mingyu's number flashing on the screen. "Mingyu?"
"Seoul Hospital," he muttered before hanging up abruptly. The call was brief but enough to spark a glimmer of hope.
Immediately after, my phone rang again. This time, it was Jimin. "Jungkook! The headquarters got a call from a bus driver saying he dropped off an injured girl at the-"
"She's in Seoul Hospital," I confirmed, my voice steady but urgent. "I'm heading there now."
_
hailed a cab, practically throwing myself into the back seat.
"Seoul Hospital, and step on it!" I barked at the driver. The car sped off, weaving through traffic. My mind raced with thoughts of her. Injured, scared, but hopefully safe.
As the hospital came into view, I paid the driver and dashed out of the cab, pushing through the revolving doors into the brightly lit lobby. The sterile smell of the hospital hit me, mingling with the anxiety churning in my stomach.
I approached the reception desk, my eyes wild. "An injured girl was brought in recently, probably wearing an overcoat with a hood and jeans. Where is she?"
The receptionist's eyes widened slightly at my intensity. "Let me check the records." She typed quickly on her computer. "Yes, she was here. She's in the emergency ward, room 12."
Without another word, I sprinted down the hallways, my shoes squeaking on the polished floors. Room 12. I repeated the number in my head like a mantra, pushing through the double doors of the emergency ward.
I burst through the door, startling two nurses in the room. My eyes scanned the room, but Moon wasn't there. "Where is she?!" I roared, my voice echoing in the small space. The nurses stumbled back, fear evident on their faces. Of course, I was bare-faced, not the calm, composed person they might have expected.
"Sir, who?" one of them asked with a shaky voice.
"A girl was brought here injured," I snapped, my patience wearing thin.
The other nurse, her voice trembling, replied, "She... she ran away."
My heart sank, frustration boiling over. "What do you mean she ran away? How could you let that happen?"
stormed out of the room in a rage, my frustration boiling over. Where the hell is she? As I walked out of the hospital, I barely noticed the police cars parked outside. Jimin approached me, hope flickering in his eyes, but I shook my head.
"I've sent some people to look through the hospital thoroughly—" Jimin began.
"Sir... sir!" A cop ran towards us, breathless. "A passerby saw her running down the alley over there."
Without wasting a second, I sprinted towards the alley, my heart pounding. Moon was close, and I wasn't going to lose her again. Jimin followed closely behind, and together we charged towards the alley.
We reached the entrance of the alley, and I slowed down, scanning every shadow, every possible hiding spot. "Moon!" I called out, my voice echoing off the walls. There was no response. Some of the cops moved forward, their flashlights cutting through the darkness.
I looked carefully, my eyes straining to catch any sign of her. Just then, I heard a faint rustling. My head snapped towards a dumpster box. I walked closer, my heart pounding.
"Moon, my love?" I called out, my voice trembling with hope.
For a moment, there was only silence. Then, a soft whimper reached my ears. I moved closer, my breath catching in my throat.
"Jungkook," I heard a faint voice. It was almost like a whisper in the wind, but it was enough to stir a primal need inside me. Moving swiftly, I found Moon's trembling form.
"Jungkook!"
I knelt beside her, my heart racing. "Moon," I murmured, my voice low and intense as I looked into her tear-filled eyes. She clung to me desperately, sobbing uncontrollably.
""I... I thought I couldn't see you anymore,"," she managed to choke out, her voice barely audible.
"It's not up to you to decide, love," I whispered, my breath brushing against her ear, as she slipped into unconsciousness, utterly under my control.
