29. In Which Grim Is VERY Concerned

Grim's heart plunged roughly to the same depth as his homeworld.
"What about him?" Grim muttered, trying to appear casual. His ears were buzzing.

"Apparently he was connected to Eris's release. Lupus is mounting an execution- you know how he is, he's always so stern with his demigods," Ziva rubbed her chin thoughtfully, "Though it's sad to hear that Artemis was to blame. I always thought he was a sweet kid."

The word execution sliced through Grim like a knife. He staggered, face going stark white. The four hundred pound weight that was realization hit his shoulders.

This was all his fault. All of it. Eris escaped and it was his fault.

And now the person he loved was going to take the blame.

"Where is he?" Grim rasped, his mind seven hundred miles away from the room he was currently in. His voice was hollow, shaken. Cold sweat poured down his face.

"Hm?"

"Where is he?" Grim hissed once more, his pupils dissolving into a sea of blackness, "Where is Lupus?"

He had to save Artemis.

He had to.
