Chapter 6: Teachers and Times
After his conversation with Aizawa and giving the teacher permission to discuss the situation with law enforcement and other teachers, Bakugou falls asleep. Aizawa brings him to the dorms before going to his own room. The hero sits on his bed with an angry expression as he dials a number on his phone, the number of a close friend of All Might's.
"Eraserhead, is this you?" the recipient of the call queries.
Aizawa growls, "It is, Tsukauchi."
The man on the other end of the call is silent for a moment before he speaks warily, "From that tone you're using, I take it that something has happened?"
"Yes, and it is about one of my students."
"I see. Would you mind explaining the situation?" Tsukauchi asks calmly.
Aizawa's brow furrows. "He is a victim of sexual assault with multiple perpetrators. I did not ask particularly, but I believe the sexual assault included rape."
"...I see." Aizawa hears a pen scratching on paper across the line. "Do you know if he has any information on the perpetrators?"
"I believe so from the fact that he agreed to help us find them when I asked."
"Would he be willing to answer some questions at the police station?"
Aizawa pauses, thinking. "It may be possible, but I would assume he would prefer to stay here to avoid suspicion that would occur from his entering a police station. Rumors would most likely crop up because he is...quite well known."
"Alright, that is no problem. If you would talk to him and plan a time and day, I would be glad to come over to UA, instead. Could you please give me his name?"
"Bakugou Katsuki," Aizawa says cautiously, aware of most people's perception of the child.
Tsukauchi seems unfazed as he questions, "The blonde boy from the Sports Festival?"
"That is correct."
More scratching on paper is heard over the line. "Alright. Is there anything else that I should know before then?"
"Not any information regarding the situation, but please be aware that Bakugou is very closed-off about his secret, possibly even more than many victims of the same kind, because of his personality. Also, I believe he may have PTSD from the incident," Aizawa says as he suppresses his anger and closes his eyes.
After another pause for writing, Tsukauchi says, "Thank you, Eraserhead. Please give me an update on the time and place of our meeting soon, and I will see you then. Please say hello to Toshinori for me, as well."
"Of course. Thank you, Detective." Aizawa pulls the phone from his ear and hangs up the call, dropping his hand limply to his side. "How the fuck can I ask this of the kid?" he questions himself dejectedly before readying himself for a night of hero work and maybe an hour of sleep if he is lucky.

Bakugou goes about the next day of school like any other. Of course, he feels it would be far easier to lay in bed and brood, but he can't let the extras get a day of training ahead of him. He arrives to class early, sitting in his chair and swinging his feet up onto his desk. After putting in some ear plugs and turning on Watch Me by The Phantoms, (I scrolled thru songs in my million playlists and this just seemed like a song he'd like to blast lol) he stuffs his hands into his pant pockets and glares out the window as the rest of the students begin to filter into the class.
Aizawa enters the class as the usual yellow worm and proceeds normally. All in all, the day goes fairly well. But as his classes progress, Bakugou becomes more and more aware of something different in the teachers. Each of them continues to glance at him throughout their classes, each with emotions stirring in their eyes. Bakugou deals fine with Aizawa's, of course, because the man barely lets anything slip beyond slightly conspicuous glances that happen more often than on a normal day. The other students seem to be aware of what is going on with the teacher and Bakugou to some degree. However, they all are still oblivious to what was discovered during the after school discussion the previous day, so they find themselves shooting glances towards Bakugou throughout their classes as well.
All Might was quite obnoxious during Foundational Hero Studies. Bakugou wouldn't even quite use the term obnoxious, the man was more...creepy. Though the hero usually can't be pinned with such a term, he sure fits the description when he is repeatedly caught frozen and staring at Bakugou from wherever he is in the classroom during class like a scarecrow, a large smile on his face as he stands stalk still. Bakugou can see the emotions in the tall man's eyes and knows he is trying to keep a strong face on for him even while he spaces out and thinking about different things, but from the outside the scene looks fairly concerning.
Present Mic, Bakugou decides, is most definitely able to be termed annoying. The loud hero apparently believes that, to support Bakugou, he should call on him more often in English class because, of course, who doesn't like to share their opinion on the material in class as often as possible? (Sarcasm implied) By the end of class, Bakugou has a strong urge to slam his head into something...or slam his fist into the nerd's face.... However, the class soon ends and the loud hero leaves after sparing one last concerned glance towards Bakugou.
The students leave for lunch and gather into their usual groups. Bakugou finds himself surrounded by the Bakusquad again, loud voices screeching at each other around him cheerfully as he ignores them and continues with eating his food, acting like he does not notice the looks of worry his own friends seem insistent on sending him every other moment.
Midnight's class is by far the worst in Bakugou's opinion. Every time the woman looks at him her eyes become teary and it looks like she is about to burst out crying. He can't stand her pity. In fact, the pity of all the teachers that day has been grating on Bakugou's nerves. What is worse is that the other students become even more curious about the situation because of the hero's tearful gaze. Bakugou can see it in their eyes. After all, the others have never seen Midnight cry before, so it does make them wonder. Is the situation even worse than they thought?
Sure enough, it feels like forever before the bell finally rings for class to end. All they have left for the day is Hero Training, so the students filter out of the classroom to head over to the locker rooms. Bakugou walks down the hall with Ashido, Sero, Kaminari, and Kirishima at his sides as he frowns at the students who have the audacity to walk in front of him, but then he feels a hand on his shoulder. Forcing down a flinch, Bakugou turns his angry gaze to see who it is, his eyes meeting pitch black ones. The others in his group stop to look at their teacher as well, pausing their conversations with one another.
"Bakugou, may I speak with you? It will only be a moment," Aizawa asks tiredly, having gotten less than his coveted hour of sleep last night. Bakugou's eyes flicker towards his curious friends before he looks back to the teacher and nods. Aizawa turns and walks over to an empty classroom and Bakugou follows, waving a hand dismissively towards his group.
Kirishima mutters something to Kaminari, Ashido, and Sero quickly before practically shouting after Bakugou, "I'll be waiting out here, bro!" as the others hesitantly walk to the locker rooms, throwing concerned glances behind them.
As the door slams behind him, Bakugou stuffs his hands into his pockets and throws Aizawa a bored expression. "What is it, then, teach?" he asks impatiently.
Aizawa observes Bakugou for a moment before speaking slowly and quietly. "I called a friend of All Might's yesterday, the detective who was here after the USJ incident, and we are wondering if you would be willing to answer some questions about the people who attacked you."
Bakugou narrows his eyes. "I'm not going anywhere if it'll make people suspicious."
"Don't worry, you don't have to," Aizawa says as Bakugou snaps about how he most definitely is not worried. "The detective said that it is quite alright if you are not willing to go to the police station, especially because of your media attention. The plan is that if you accept he will be coming here and we will do the questioning in a private room."
Bakugou thinks for a moment before groaning. "Fine. Sure. Fuck it. When?" he spats.
"That depends. When would you be willing to do this?" he asks.
"I don't fucking care. Let's get it over with. I don't have time to keep this going on forever," Bakugou snarls as he pushes down his anxiety that tries to fight its way into his words.
Aizawa hums. "Alright. Then I will ask for the meeting to be held on Saturday, the day after tomorrow, in the afternoon so that it does not conflict with your school schedule should he have any time restrictions."
Bakugou grunts in approval. "Can I go now?"
Aizawa rolls his eyes and nods. Bakugou huffs and turns, heading toward the door before Aizawa's voice catches him just before he touches the door knob. "We will catch them, Bakugou."
Bakugou grinds his teeth (don't grind ur teeth btw, it's bad for u). "Yeah." he says quietly as he walks out, leaving Aizawa behind to make yet another call to the detective.
Kirishima looks up at the noise of the door opening from where he sits against the hallway wall across from the room. "Bakugou!" he says with a smile as he stands up and dusts himself off. "We've got to hurry or we'll be late!" Bakugou rolls his eyes and walks swiftly down the hall, leaving Kirishima to jog to catch up to him. "What did you talk about with Mr. Aizawa?" Kirishima asks curiously when he reaches Bakugou's side, but Bakugou can hear the odd sound in his voice betraying some other emotion.
"It's none of your business, Shitty Hair," he says neutrally.
Kirishima pouts. "But Bakubroooo."
"Fuck you."
Kirishima laughs and Bakugou forces away the urge to smile.
Even if the teachers all act like shit, this idiot somehow makes it at least a minuscule bit better.
An absolutely minuscule bit. No more than that, Bakugou assures himself.
———————————————————
Hmmmmmm I wonder what's going to happen at training????? Or maybe in the little bit of time before it? And just after they arrive at the locker rooms???? HMMMMMMMMM I wonder if that's a HINTTTTTTTT and why there are so many indentations!
Honestly that hint may cause more chaotic and terrible ideas than what's gonna happen but I'm not refuting that it's fun to watch you all suffer. Sorry😘
Also, I think I've been scarred by the fact I wrote "Chalter" instead of Chapter in the title of one of the chapters of Rehabilitating Bakugou cuz I just reread my title like twenty times before I could assure myself it's spelled correctly, and now imma probably read it again cuz p a r a n o i a ;)
