Part 2: Part Of Being A Beatle🎸
Me and George told the lads what was happening and they decided to tag along as well.
We all hopped into the car and drove to the hospital.
When we arrived Alexandria and a nurse waited in the entrance for us.
Alexandria saw George and the lads and instantly and came running.
She ran to Paul and he picked her up embracing her.
She hugged his neck tight, and he smiled as he squeezed her gently.
When he set her down she grabbed his hand and dragged him inside leading the way.
The nurse giggled as she followed right behind them.
George kissed my cheek and squeezed my hand gently.
"I'm nervous."
George whispered in my ear. I looked up at him and his eyes were red and watery.
I gave him a reassuring smile, and cupped his cheek in my hand.
"Its gonna be okay."
He nodded his head and we walked down the corridors until we arrived at the little girls hospital room.
John, Paul George, and Ringo went in and sat by her bed.
I walked in last. The little girl's mother began to cry.
She rubbed the little girl's arm lightly as she pointed to the Beatles.
"Look Lillianna, it the Beatles."
I looked at her mother and laid my hand on her shoulder.
"Lillianna?"
Her mother nodded with tears in hers eyes.
"That's a beautiful name."
George looked up at me as I said that. And I felt something click between us.
Lillianna turned her head as the four Beatles all waved to her.
She giggled and put her hand out to George's. They all laughed.
"Well, we definitely know who she likes best."
John smiled at her as she took George's hand.
"Georgie!"
We all laughed as her sweet little voice cooed George's name.
I could feel a lump in my throat and the tears stinging in my eyes, that I tried so hard to hold back.
Her mother had tears streaming down her face.
As she watched her little girl's dreams come true.
Ringo came up to her and wrapped her in a warm hug.
"How old is she?"
Lillianna's mother wiped her tears away and cleared her thoat.
"She's three years."
Ringo smiled. "She's beautiful."
All the Beatles nodded.
"Yeah, she's gorgeous."
Paul played with a strand of her hair.
"Georgie, Paulie, John....."
Lillianna searched the room for Ringo as he slipped behind a chair.
Finally her eyes caught a glimpse of him and she been to giggle uncontrollably.
"Ringo!"
We all laughed and began to clap for her as Ringo came out from behind the chair.
"You found me!"
He laughed and came out from behind the chair, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
She giggled and he sat down next to her.
She looked at Ringo studying his face.
She picked up one of his hands and held it to her face. Ringo smiled as she picked at his rings.
"Rings!"
We all laughed.
Her voice was so small, and precious.
And it broke my heart to see this beautiful little girl in this hospital bed.
Alexandria sat in John's lap and watched her baby sister.
Lillianna then turned back to George and took his hand.
"Sing?" I looked at George, his eyes watery and his hands shook.
He was afraid. And I knew what he was afraid of, because I was afraid too.
George smiled and looked up at the lads.
They all nodded their heads and George looked back down at Lillianna.
"Of course we will sing love."
George leaned over and whispered something into John's ear.
He nodded his head and whispered something to Paul.
And then Paul grabbed Ringo whispering in to his ear.
They all nodded and began to sing.
Here comes the sun do do do. Here comes the sun, and I say....its alright. Little darling its been a long, cold, lonely winter. Little darling it feels like years since its been here. Here comes the sun, do do do. Here comes the sun and I say....its alright.
Lillianna listened with all of her heart.
She looked so content and happy.
She kept George's hand in hers as they sang to her gently.
Alexandria laid her head on John's chest and played with a button on his shirt.
Her eye lids began to slowly drop as they sang.
When they finished Alexandria was fast asleep in John's arms and he cuddled her up close to him.
"Ah, look our little darling has gone to sleep."
John kissed the top of her head as her mother came and took her from his arms.
Lillianna let out a big yawn and gripped George's finger.
He brushed her hair from her forehead and kissed her gently.
She smiled. "I love you Georgie."
My heart winced as she said those sweet words.
I saw a tear fall from George's watery eyes.
"I love you too Lillianna, we all do."
He looked up at the lads.
They all nodded their heads.
"Now you get better for me okay. I'm gonna give your mummy my number so she can call me when you get better so we can come and see you again."
She smiled and motioned him to come closer.
George bent down and she kissed his cheek.
Tears streamed down my face.
"Goodbye Lillianna get better okay."
George stood up and waved. She waved back and fell fast asleep.
The lads all hugged her mother and wished her well.
George and me stood in with her still looking down at the precious child.
"Call me if anything happens."
George wrote down our number and signed the paper giving it to her mother.
She took the paper and nodded her head.
"Thank you so much. You don't know what this means to my baby girl's."
George embraced her and squeezed her tight.
"You're welcome. They are both beautiful and precious girls."
She nodded her head as tears fell.
George said his final goodbye as he walked out the door.
I gave her mother a hug and bid her farewell as I grabbed George's hand and we walked out the hospital.
Lillianna..........I like that name.
