Redid Hope's design a bit. The old design looked a little out dated with my drawing style.  Hope you like her new look.

***Alastor's POV***

Hope is definitely interesting for sure. Such fine entertainment so far. She is a good storyteller and a lovely singer.

Her kindness towards me is quite the rarity as well. Normally most are scared of me, which is usually how I like it. But her kindness is rather refreshing for a change.

Especially earlier this evening......

**Flashback**

We had just come back in after I got rid of that pest. I was in the middle of cooking when I hear Hope's voice behind me.

"Umm. Alastor?" I hear her sweet voice say to get my attention.

I turn to face her.

"Yes, my dear. What can I help you with?" I ask her.

"I was just wanting to make sure you are ok." She replies.

Ok. Now I am confused. Why would she be concerned with if I am, ok?

"Why of course I'm ok. Why wouldn't I be darling?" I ask her.

"Well earlier when you destroyed the air ship, I noticed blood leaking from your hand. I wanted to make sure you weren't still injured." She explains.

Oh. So that's what she means. I hold up my hand to show her I'm fine.

"Yes darling. I'm just fine. I am a pretty quick healer. No need to worry dear." I tell her.

She seems to relax at that, and she smiles at me.

"Oh ok. That's good. I'm glad you're ok. Anyway, I'll let you get back to cooking. Smells great by the way." She says before quickly walking out of the kitchen.

**Flashback end**

Interesting girl. We had only just met and yet she was concerned I had gotten hurt. She is such a sweetheart.

She probably isn't aware of my reputation though. I can't see her being so sweet and kind knowing all the demons I have hurt. If she knows I will be surprised.

The rest of the night was pretty uneventful. I find myself up early this morning. I think I might have some time before everyone else wakes up. I might make breakfast for everyone to hopefully gain their trust.

As I enter the dining area, I see Hope at the table working on something. She turns her attention to me as she hears me enter the room. She smiles brightly at me. She really does have a beautiful smile.

"Good morning, Alastor. You're up early." She says before going back to work on something.

"Good morning, Hope. You are too." I say as I pull up a seat next to her.

"Well, I kind of got to be in order to make breakfast for everyone." She says in an amused tone.

This girl isn't scared of me and is so odd. I have to know why.

"Darling? May I ask you a question?" I ask her.

She looks at me for a moment before going back to work.

"Sure. Ask away." She says to me.

"Why are you not afraid of me? I figured you would be at least a little after yesterday." I say in a curious tone.

"Should I be? As long as you don't turn your power on the people at the hotel, I don't see why I should be." She says in a slightly cheery tone.

She stops working to turn and look at me for a moment.

"Besides you said to yourself. If you wanted to hurt anyone here, you would have by now." She says throwing my words back at me.

She goes back to working on whatever it is she is working on as I process her words. She's not afraid of me because I told her I wasn't a threat. She's going only my word that I won't hurt her. What a strange yet fascinating girl. I may just have to know more about her. I do have to be careful though. Can't be developing feelings for her.

"Done!" She shouts before she shows me what she made.

When she shouted, she did startle me a bit. What she made was a stuffed gray and white cat with red wings. It does kinda remind me of Husker.

"Very cute dear." I say and she smiles.

"I made this one for Husk. Next one will be for Nifty."

I was about ask about it when the others started to walk in. Hope then got up to go bring in the food. I offered to help, and she accepted. Apparently, she was up for a while and made all the breakfast food before I came down. She used a spell to keep it warm until everyone else came down.

Breakfast was far less tense than dinner last night. Mostly everyone was chatting and getting to know each other. After breakfast Hope gave Husker the stuffed cat.

He just kinda brushed her off. She just set it near him and when he thought no one was looking accepted it. Hope went over to talk to Charlie and decided to head over to see what is going on. I had just gotten there when Charlie handed Hope some money.

"There you are Hope. Please do be careful out there." Charlie says in a slightly worried tone.

"Don't worry I will be." Hope says before she is about to leave.

"Where are you going? If you don't mind me asking dear." I ask before she can leave.

"Just to the store. I used the rest of the food to make breakfast. So just some grocery shopping." She tells me.

As much as I want to think Hope can handle herself I rather not risk losing my best form of entertainment. I tell her I will be going with for protection reasons. She agrees and we head out.
