A month almost past and Sarah would be sent back to the Foster Care unit back in Boston, but she felt Mr Gold wouldn't, until she heard him on the phone calling them. He said it wasn't working out with him and the girl.

"She's a great kid...I just don't think I'm cut out to be a single parent. I thought I could do the whole father thing, but I can't, I'm sorry."

"...," Sarah teared up hearing this. Soon he hung up after he said he will bring her back in the morning.

Sarah quickly ran upstairs and shut the door and laid on her bed hugging her joker doll. Soon supper was made an hour later and Mr Gold came in, but saw she was hurt.

"Sarah? You alright?"

Sarah turned to him. She looked sad. She then wrote saying, "nothing...I just had another nightmare..."

He sighed and sat beside her. She then looked up at him sadly. She then rested her head on his arm. He wrapped his arms around her and comfort her. She finally was calm and he looked down at her.

"I ordered supper and it's your favorite. Chinese food." Mr Gold smiled.

Sarah then looked down and shook her head.

"You're...you're not hungry?"

She shook her head again.

"But...," he then sighed, "alright...I will just...put everything in the fridge." He patted her back gently.

He then got up and walked out of the room.

That night Sarah put on her clothes back on. She was planning to run away now. She didn't dare wanted to go back to that foster care and never have a family. She packed everything in her bag and took her Joker doll. But stopped. She looked down sadly at him. So instead she wrote a letter in a envelope and brought it into Mr Gold's bedroom. She carefully walked in with the doll and the letter. She set the letter on his nightstand and turned to him as he was asleep.

"...I'm...I'm sorry, papa...," She whispered. She then kissed his cheek after she set the joker doll under his arm. Then she walked out. She grabbed her backpack and head to the door.

Sarah took one look back tearing up.

I thought he wanted me...I thought he loved me...

She then walked out closing the door.
