It was Monday. After going to school I do my homework. While trying to find a Maths book in the bookcase, I notice a story book I used to like when I was younger. I used to carry it around a lot and read it every day, getting to even know it word by word.

Flipping through the pages something falls on the ground. I pick it up and notice that it is a photo of my sister, another girl and me back when we were in England. It seems like I was 6 when the photo was taken, so Sarah must have been 5 at that time. It's weird that I can't remember who the other girl is...

I put the photo back in the book and go back to doing my homework.

(Two days later)

During History class we talk about the First World War and the teacher gives us some exercises to work on, while the rest will be our homework. We are also allowed to use our phones to search for information.

While searching for information, I get a notification. I open it and it's a message from Leo.

Leo: Hey. Are you free this weekend?

Me: Sorry, I'm kinda busy. Why?

Leo: I was just wondering if we could hang out but since you're busy it doesn't matter.

Me: I'm only busy on Saturday. If you want we can still meet on Sunday.

Leo: Ok. Deal.

After a long week, Saturday finally comes. Biding my goodbyes, I head towards the school field.

Diana's POV

I can't believe I actually asked Darwin to have a practice match and that he actually agreed. Sarah made me do this dare. We were playing truth and dare and she made me go ask her brother. I think she figured something out although I never told her anything and I also don't think I was that obvious... Who knows... Maybe she can read minds.

After Darwin agreed to have the match, I was so happy that I asked him about it. I don't really have anyone to play basketball with so it was a really good idea. Also, we can talk more and meet outside of school.

I am currently heading towards the school field where we last played basketball.

End of Diana's POV

"Hey." I say.

"Hi." says Diana.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes."

After a quick warm up, we are ready to start. I hand her the ball first so she can start. While trying to take it from her, she turns and succeeds to score. After that, the ball goes to me and I also score.

When half of the game passed, we both have the same number of points. After a ten-minutes break, we resume our game. When there were 20 seconds left, I had one point more than Diana. As I scored, she gets the ball. She runs and just as she shoots, I manage to jump and prevent the ball from going in. And then the alarm sounds announcing the end of the game. If I didn't jump or if there were two minutes more, she could have won the game. But so, I did. I feel good because I won but I also feel bad that she lost.

Heading to the bench to get some water and our stuff, I notice Matt with another girl. He notices me as well and starts heading towards us.

"Hey guys. What's up?"

"We just played a bit basketball." I say.

"Oh. This is my girlfriend, Bett."

"Hi."

"Hey." Diana and I say.

"We're heading to the cinema to see a movie. See you on Monday at school." says Matt.

"See you." I say.

Well at least he has a girlfriend and I don't have to feel scared cause he might steal Diana from me.

"I have to hurry home. See you on Monday." says Diana.

"Oh okay. See you."

(Next day)

As promised, I meet with Leo in the park.

"How are you?" I ask.

"Good. And you?"

"Me too."

"How come you were busy yesterday?" Leo asks.

"I played some basketball with Diana."

"Oh, nice."

"Yeah. Why did you ask to meet?"

"I just wanted to walk and I didn't want to be alone. Also, I had to take something off my chest."

"What happened?"

"I want to tell you who is the person I like."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah. Do you mind if you also tell me who you like? If you want to, of course."

"Okay, sure. It's only fair. Do you want to say on the count of three the first letter of the name of the person."

"Yeah, it's a good idea."

"Is it someone I know?" I ask Leo.

"Yeah."

"Could it be? No... Or? Is it Janin?"

"Yeah."

"Oh, so great. I'm happy for you. She's a great girl."

"Haha thanks. What about yours? Do I know her?"

"Yeah, you do."

"Is it Diana?"

"Yeah."

"Oh. Cool. Oh! This is why you agreed to help her with basketball."

"Yeah. You've guessed right."

"At least you get to spend time with her."

"It's okay. You'll be able to do something regarding that too. And you are even more extroverted than me."

"Yeah but this hasn't really got much to do with it."

"But still... Oh. Did you know Matt has a girlfriend?"

"Yeah, he told me yesterday. So lucky. When will we have girlfriends..."

"Soon. Very soon."
