Jimin
Yes, Jimin was using his "reward" as an excuse to take his girlfriend on a date.
Yes, he was a fucking simp. Who cared?
The Terranea Resort was as luxurious as Jimin expected. It had palm trees to make it look like typical California, a pool so blue the sky couldn't compete, and warm sidewalks Jimin could feel the heat from through his sneakers. Though, he wasn't outside at the moment. He was inside his suite he got to spend the day in with his girlfriend/wife (depending on who you asked).
"It even smells clean in here," Y/n said with a dreamy sigh, flopping over on the king-sized bed with white covers. It was a white-themed room with beachy accents. Almost like a sailor's room, which made sense considering how it overlooked the water. There were dark blue accents to give it more pop and color, like the little seat in front of the bed was wooden with a navy blue cushion.
The space had a mix of light, polished wooden floors and carpets with blue and white patterns on them. It was a suite, so it had a bedroom, a bathroom with better products than Jimin had ever seen in his life (and that was saying something), a living area, and a kitchen, along with the other small spaces, like the balcony. Jimin was scared of heights, though, so it was safe to say he hadn't investigated much of the balcony yet.
"So," Y/n said, picking her head up from the fluffy pillows and grinning, "what do we do first?"
"Each other?"
"Jimin!"
"Sorry, I panicked."
Jimin came over and sat on the edge of the bed to twirl her hair. It was a bit greasy from the stress of the blind taste test, but he found that endearing. There was something unbelievably attractive about a hard-working woman. Or, more specifically, Y/n after a long day of working hard.
"We're finalists, y'know," he said with a chuckle, trying to recover from his previous blunder. "How does it feel?"
"Well, we kicked Jungkook's ass today, so it feels pretty damn good."
Jimin snorted. "That's what you took out of today? Not the fact that we're on our first date?"
"Yeah. I have priorities." Y/n trailed off and stared at him, her voice softer when it came again. "Though, for a first date, there's a surprising lack of kissing."
Jimin smirked. "If you wanted a kiss, you could have just asked."
Y/n squealed and plopped back down in the pillows. "Sorry, sorry. I panicked. You're hot. Oh good lord why did I have to bag the hottest man alive? I'm never gonna stop being like this."
Jimin rubbed her back and kissed the top of her head. "I don't mind. Gives me an ego boost."
"You don't need any more ego boosts," she said with a groan, her voice muffled by the thick pillows. "But, dammit, you are hot. Why are you so hot? What were your parents on and where can I get it?"
"Y/n!"
Y/n picked her head up and scoffed. "That's revenge for saying 'each other' earlier."
"Okay, but in my defense, you're hot too, so yeah I wanna do you!" Jimin stopped and slumped his shoulders. "I'm making it worse, aren't I?"
"Yep."
Y/n scooted over and sat up, hugging him and crawling on his lap to deepen the embrace. Jimin chuckled and returned it, squeezing her and closing his eyes to appreciate the warmth. He didn't realize how emotionally drained he was until he started kind of dating Y/n. He assumed they'd be more concrete about it later, after the intensity of Hell's Kitchen, but for the time being, she was his girlfriend. They'd do more of the girlfriend boyfriend stuff outside of the competition.
"You think all of America is gonna call us cringe?" she asked in a mutter, and he shrugged.
"I mean, we kind of are. You asked if I wanted to make babies."
"Well, hey, come on, I don't need to explain myself. The world needs more Park Jimins. It's my responsibility to-"
Jimin sighed to cut her off. "Y/n."
"Yes?"
"You know we're on camera, right?"
"Oh. Yeah, right. I knew that."
Jimin chuckled and kissed the side of her head, pulling back and glancing around. The hidden cameras were, well, hidden, so he had no idea where they were (not to mention the whole camera crew was on break), but he knew they would record every second. So, no, they couldn't actually smash. Not that they would. Sheesh. Jimin had more respect than that. He'd at least go on a date with her first. Wait. That was their date.
Damn.
"We should go to the restaurant. Try some gourmet food," Jimin said with a giggle. Wow. He really was acting like a high schooler all over again. "What do you think?"
"Good idea. But we need to stop hugging to do that."
"Ugh, that's so stupid." Jimin paused for a second, and then he pulled back with knitted brows. "Wow. We're a cringey high school couple, aren't we?"
"Yeah, but whatever. You get away with it cause you're hot."
Y/n beamed, booped his nose with her finger, and slid off him to instead get ready for the restaurant, and with a laugh, he did the same. They went down the elevator (and Jimin cursed at it; stupid fucking elevators) and into the restaurant, which was a mix of indoor and outdoor. There was the interior with the black and white checkered floor and rustic feel with all the wood and dim lamp lights hanging from the ceiling, and then there was the patio overlooking the water and grass so green he swore it blinded him.
The patio had woven chairs, and Jimin took his girl to one of them after the hostess said they could go anywhere, seeing as they were esteemed guests of Gordon Ramsay's. They were square tables with white tablecloths and a candle and rose as the centerpiece, though it was the afternoon, so the candlelight dinner wasn't in full effect. It was a lunch, not a dinner, but he'd treat it like taking her to dinner anyway.
Jimin helped Y/n into her chair and sat across from her when he finished. The menus were already on the table. They were black and a typical restaurant menu with the typical cursive and beige pages that felt like they cost a million dollars. He saw dishes more complex than he had ever seen in his life, and the names seemed Italian, so he had a feeling it would be better than anything he had ever tasted. Aside from his mom and grandma's cooking, of course.
"So," he said, clearing his throat, "what do you want to get?"
"Dude, I just opened the menu."
"Right. Sorry." Jimin lowered the menu and glanced at the smiling Y/n, who peeked up at him. He gave her a sheepish smile back. "Is this awkward? Are we awkward? Is it hot out here, or is it just me?"
"It's California, Jimin. It's always hot out here." Y/n leaned forward and took his hand. "We're not awkward. We don't need to be talking every ten seconds. We can just look at the menu in peace, and I'll love every second since it means I'm here with you."
Jimin's sheepish smile became a toothy one. "You mean it?"
"I do. Plus, we got away from all the cameras. No way they have any out here. We can say whatever we want. Isn't that exciting?"
"I think I shit my pants a little."
"See? You're doing great," Y/n said with a snort, her eyes flickering over the menu again. "But my point is, we'll get used to it."
"You're normally the panicked one. How are you so calm?"
"Because I like you, and you like me, and I know we'll be fine." Y/n looked up again, keeping her grin. "Besides, even if it isn't, at least we'll have good memories together, right? Life's too short to be awkward."
Jimin stared at her even as she returned to scanning her menu. She was the most beautiful, hard-working woman he had ever met, and that was not a statement he made lightly. All his exes had been wonderful women, but no one compared to Y/n. Maybe he was being dramatic, but he felt like that was it right there. Before him was the woman he would stay with, possibly forever. Yeah, so Gordon's prediction about her being Mrs. Park was real. Or, at least, Jimin hoped it would become real.
All that was left was embracing it.
