Mafia Party
BARK BARK BARK MIN YOONGI WOOF WOOF BARK BARK BARK AWOOOOOO *HOWLS* BARK BARK
Hoseok pretends to be fine with everything happening.
He went to the bathroom only to come out to see Jimin, Y/n, Ariel, and Yoongi all here. Taehyung's behind him; he went to the bathroom with him to get a feel for the hotel room, and this is what they came back to.
Hoseok steps forward and observes Jimin's bouncing leg as he sits on the edge of the bed. Ariel's leaning against the door, eyeing Yoongi and Y/n. He wonders why she'd be cautious about two of the three people who practically are her guardians, but he knows why deep down. She trusts Jimin more than them, and now, Jimin doesn't trust them. Poor kid's probably scarred.
"You want us... to go to a party?" Y/n asks, Jimin running a hand through his hair.
"I know you don't trust me, but we have two options. Sit here and get our asses blasted inside out by the leader of the damn Underworld, or we go straight to her where she least expects it," he says.
"Jimin, I do trust you, but I don't think this is a good idea."
"And not telling me Yoongi's secret was?"
"Come on, let's not do this now."
"Then when are we gonna do it, huh? Let's address the elephant in the room, shall we? I gave my life away to your mafia, we dated for years, we've known each other for five years. You've seen me at my lowest, my absolute lowest, and after all that, you still chose to protect the man you hated over me."
"I agree with you, Jimin," Hoseok says, stepping forward. "I think at least one of us should have told you. I'm sorry it wasn't me. But right now, as much as I hate to say it, we need to worry about our plan. Let's fight and argue later. We're in London to take down the mafia, let's do it, yeah?"
"There's three of you and countless of them," Jimin says, abruptly standing and taking Ariel's hand. "Forget it. I don't know why I'm even helping you anymore."
When he goes to leave, Y/n can't let him. "Because deep down you still love us." He freezes by the door, Y/n nearly out of breath. "We're your family."
There's silence for several moments, Jimin opening the door before peeking at her from over his shoulder. "That's exactly why it hurts so bad." And then, he's gone.
The door shuts, leaving the four of them alone. "What did he even say?" Hoseok asks.
Y/n rests herself on her bed, the mattress creaking beneath her. "There's a mafia party once a year in London; it's for the High Council and their inner circle. It's like a massive meeting, but it has music and expensive food too. It always happens around this time, normally two days from now. Jimin suggested going and infiltrating the event."
"Does he know where the party is?"
"It's the same place every year, but there's so much security it'd be suicide trying to get in."
"With all due respect ma'am, Jimin wouldn't have suggested it if he didn't have a way to get in. Emotionally distressed or not, he knows what he's doing," Hoseok replies, crossing his arms over his chest. "I remember researching Madam Avasa and finding out about that party. It's huge for the High Council. Literally a mafia party disguised as a concert so the general public doesn't get suspicious. There's gotta be a way in. Underground tunnels, sewers, balconies - something."
"It's an outdoor party, a huge fucking concert. It's informal but formal at the same time. It's kind of trippy," Y/n says, Hoseok agreeing.
"There's always back entrances. There's gotta be a way. I'll talk to Jimin, we'll do some research and find this venue."
"How? We don't have any tech."
"Leave that to me. I'll find a way, don't worry. Do you trust me?" Hoseok asks, resulting in an instant nod from Yoongi. Taehyung seems a bit distant, so he doesn't move. Y/n agrees after a beat of hesitation. "Thank you. I'll find a way, I promise. There's gotta be something we can do."
And that's what Hoseok does. He leaves their room and goes to Jimin's, knocking on the door. Jimin opens it after a few moments, the bags under his eyes larger than his ass.
"What do you want?" Jimin asks.
"I want you to know that if Yoongi didn't tell you, I would've. I wanted to give him a chance to tell you, it would've been better for you to hear from him directly rather than anyone else. Jimin, I promise that's the only reason why I didn't tell you right off the bat. And I also promise that he just told me. Right on the plane, I didn't know before that. Please believe me, I would've told you. Please... I've lost enough, I don't want to lose you too."
Jimin genuinely considers his words, then, he tilts his head back and forth. "Come in."
Hoseok does, the door shutting behind him. "I wanted to talk to you about the party."
"Oh great, here to ridicule me about it?"
"No actually, quite the opposite. I think it's a good idea, and I know you wouldn't have suggested it unless you had a way to get in without being noticed."
"Finally, someone with a brain," Jimin mumbles, motioning for Ariel to come out. She does, coming out of her hiding spot Hoseok was able to see as soon as Jimin opened the door. It's a poor attempt to keep Ariel safe, but it's an attempt, so Hoseok admires it. "What did you want to talk about?"
"Does this place have a TV?"
"Of course, I got a nice suite for Ariel and I."
"So you seriously made us get the cheap, basic room?"
"Yep."
"That's not going to make you feel better, you know," Hoseok says, Jimin shaking the words off.
"Obviously not, but Ariel needs to learn to be petty, so I'm teaching her that." Ariel agrees, Hoseok sighing but not questioning Jimin's interesting parenting methods. "What about the TV?"
"Well, in hotels, most TVs are like those firestick things, where you have access to a few apps and stuff. Like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, whatever."
"So?"
"So it has access to the internet," he says, stepping forward. Jimin catches on, guiding the two to the big bedroom and sitting on the edge of the mattress. The TV is mounted on a stand against the wall, Jimin picking up the remote and turning it on. Hoseok sits next to him, being careful to leave some room. Jimin wordlessly navigates the TV, Hoseok pointing. "Wait. I think that's Microsoft Edge."
"Ew."
"I know, but we don't have much choice. Look up Google on there."
"On it." Jimin does as he's told, loading onto Google and leaning back. "I'm looking up the venue now, Hampton Court Palace, right?"
"Right."
Jimin scrolls through all the results, noticing how there's been some concerts there. Hoseok observes each result, directing Jimin and eyeing each picture. That's when Hoseok stops him, and Jimin glances at him.
"What is it?" Jimin asks, Hoseok shaking his head and standing.
He goes over to the screen, observing this one picture they're staring at. Jimin doesn't seem to see it; neither does Ariel, who's staying quiet. Hoseok plants his finger on the screen, rubbing his skin over it. Jimin still seems confused, as does Ariel, so, Hoseok lets out a breath and turns to them, their eyes locking.
"I have a plan."
~~~
Two days after trusting Hoseok to do his job, you find yourself donning a fancy outfit you didn't think you'd be wearing. Yoongi claims 'it looks hot', which it fucking does, but that's besides the point. The goal is to not draw attention to yourself, but here you are looking like a 10/10, 5 Michelin star meal. Granted, you always do, but this outfit is showing off all your curves. Now Yoongi wants to fuck you more than usual, and so will all the guys at this party-concert hybrid.
"This way, I know what to do," Hoseok says, guiding your group through the streets.
Jimin did the honor of buying everyone their outfits, so it makes sense that you have the fancy one. Ariel has one that covers literally her entire body (shocker), and Yoongi, Taehyung, Hoseok, and Jimin wearing suits. Inside them are weapons and ammo from what your group picked out at the construction site. Jimin's side didn't get much due to their situation with Madam Avasa. Good thing you grabbed extras. You never know when you'll need extra; that's the rule in the mafia.
You place your hands on the fabric of the red romper, sighing. It looks scarily familiar. You recall wearing a red romper to the greenhouse all the time. Truthfully, the outfit you wore when you first really met Yoongi was probably a red romper. Ironic how now it's the outfit you're wearing to murder the leader of your world. Just one problem: hiding a pistol is near impossible. Your ass is a weapon now: like actually, it's hiding your pistol. It's tucked in your panties, near the thick part of your thighs so it doesn't show too much.
"Where are we going, bud?" Yoongi asks, Hoseok leading them further. There's a line already, the palace completely backed up.
"I'm guessing there's cameras everywhere, meaning it's gonna be near impossible to hide. But, there was a picture Jimin pulled up, and it gave me an idea."
"What idea?"
"Think about it. This palace is open to the public, meaning there has to be toilets, showers, sinks - whatever. Disposable waste."
"Oh God. We're going in a sewer, aren't we?" you ask.
"We're going in a sewer. I saw a manhole near the back sidewalk of the palace. Secluded, no one's gonna be paying attention to a stupid manhole when they have a whole ass concert going on."
"Not bad, Jung," Yoongi says, which you expected. Yoongi's a bit of a simp for Hoseok nowadays.
The palace itself is, well, a damn palace. It encompasses your vision, the red bricks highlighted by LED lights set up around the bushes decorating the front. There's a fountain and a statue not far, but none of you pay attention to it. The building itself is more important. In the center of the building, there should be a large opening. Like a court. That's where the concert will be. And now that it's night, it's safe to say the concert is coming up.
Hoseok leads the way, spotting the manhole he apparently found online. Jimin removes it, volunteering to go first. He hops down, Ariel nearly running after him if it weren't for Taehyung holding her hand. You flex your fingers in and out of a fist-shape, wishing to know where your best friend is. The seconds tick on, creating agony for the group of you. Then...
"Clear!" Jimin's voice shouts.
Ariel jumps after him, you huffing at that girl's eagerness. Regardless, you go next much to Yoongi's dismay, hopping down and into the sewer. Your feet hitting the ground makes you grunt, but you still move out of the way so the next person can jump down. Taehyung is next, him falling over as soon as he makes contact with the floor.
Much to your surprise, Jimin comes rushing over, helping Tae to his feet and moving him out of the way. "You okay?" Jimin asks, Taehyung nodding, but he can't bring himself to speak.
Yoongi's next, followed by Hoseok. Now the entire group is here, Hoseok taking point with Jimin holding Ariel's hand and guiding her down the middle. You're on the rear duty, Yoongi helping Tae. Taehyung is actually doing much better than he used to be, most likely because he's adjusted to the new use of his senses. You're proud of him, you just hope bringing him on this mission won't be a mistake. Taehyung can still help, just not physically. And that's the main problem.
"Which way are we going?" Taehyung asks.
"This way. We're to the left of the palace, so if we keep going this way we should be fine," Hoseok says, "just keep following me, I studied maps of the place all day every day for the past two days."
"Can confirm that," Ariel says, shaking her head. "Hoseok's one determined man, I'll give him that."
"Thanks kid. Come on, let's keep going."
The group obliges, you attempting to keep your cool. It's impossible when the sewer is gigantic and smells like shit. Luckily there is a 'sidewalk', or at least enough of one that you get to stay out of the muck. It still splashes up on you every once in a while, but it's only on your shoes. Jimin made sure to buy you black shoes using Yoongi's secret credit card (since apparently Jimin the dumbass didn't think to bring his with him). Therefore, the stains aren't really showing.
The walk is painful and disgusting, the aroma clogging your nostrils until they flare, your face grimacing. Despite that, you make it to where Hoseok believes is a proper exit point. He climbs the ladder first, Jimin whistling. "Nice ass, Jung."
"Not as nice as yours, Park."
Okay, what the fuck? Since when are Hoseok and Jimin on joking level? Or better yet, since when is Jimin on joking level with anyone? You stare at him, but he has his eyes on Hoseok as he pops open the manhole, peeking out it to ensure it's safe. He motions with his hand that it is, and Jimin moves away, ignoring your silent pleas.
Jimin climbs up after Hoseok departs, Ariel right behind him. Yoongi guides Taehyung to the rings of the ladder, and the boy hoists himself up, proving himself useful. As soon as the others make progress on the ladder, Yoongi turns to you.
"You think this is a mistake?" he whispers, but his voice ends up echoing anyway.
"I hope not, I trust Hobi and Jimin. They have a good plan, I know it'll work." At Yoongi's hesitant nod, you place a hand on his shoulder, kissing his cheek. "I know you care about Jimin. For whatever it's worth, I'm glad you're different than you used to be."
"You're not mad at me?"
"Yoongi, I'm pissed beyond belief. I know you're a changed man, but indirectly killing my best friend's daughter isn't something I, or anyone who likes Jimin, can get over. But I still love you. And everything I said before..." You stroke his locks, frowning. "I don't want to break up. It was a heat of the moment thought, and I'm sorry if I scared you. Jimin's everything to me, and to have him gone... it has me thinking things I shouldn't be."
"I understand." Yoongi dips his head, then, he points up. "But we need to go. The others will get worried." You agree albeit reluctantly, giving his hand a squeeze and approaching the ladder. Yoongi does the same. "Ready?" he asks, and you let out a humorless chuckle.
"Fuck no, but let's do it anyway."
