It's a chirpy morning in the Khanna house. A guy is in the kitchen making coffee and a girl of around six years of age is twirling around him. She's chuckling and he's laughing over his daughter's antics. He's no one but senior inspector Sachin Khanna from CID. The girl is Ruhi khanna, who is not really his daughter but more than that. She is adopted by him and his wife, Angel. The reason of a child's happiness is that her mother  is bringing in a baby sibling for her.

A loud shout startles both father and daughter. They turn around to find Angel, Sachin's wife, at the entrance of the kitchen. Ruhi glances at Sachin who assures her that he will handle her mother.

"Tum coffee bana rahe ho ya halwa? Kitna shor machate ho dono papa beti. Mujhe meditate bhi nahi karne dete. " She frowns at them.

Ruhi looks carefully at Angel. She never likes it when Angel is angry, or if she scolds her for no reason.

"Aap gusse mein achi nahi lagti, mumma." She says sweetly.

"Tum maska mat lagao. Bilkul apne papa ki tarah hoti ja rahi ho tum!" Angel makes a face.

"Haww! Abhi aap complaint kyun kar rahi ho, mumma?? Aap hi kehti ho ki main Papa jaisi hoon. Fir aap gussa kyun kar rahi ho?" Ruhi questions innocently.

"Tum apne papa ki tarah ulti seedhi harkat nahi karo." Angel says, she's a little irked.

"Ruhi is a good girl. Wo kisi ko pareshan nahi karti." Little Ruhi mocks anger at her mom.

"Angel! Maine kya kiya? Tum bhi Ruhi ke saamne kya kya bol deti ho." Sachin eyes his wife.

"Sahi toh bola! Chutti ke din tum dono baap beti ghar ko sar pe utha lete ho!" Angel replies irritatedly.

"chutti ke din toh masti kar sakte hai na, mumma!"  little Ruhi says looking at her.

"Han par kisi ko pareshan nahi karte." Angel says patting her daughter's cheek.

"Ruhi kisi ko pareshan nahi karti! Pehle Bhi bola maine. Aap sunti hi nahi!!" Ruhi snaps at Angel and runs out of the kitchen.

"Uffo! Angel tum bhi na! Kardiya na usey udaas!" Sachin says.

"Don't worry! Khud aayegi…. Tum nashta banao." Angel says with a smile.

Though Ruhi is their adopted daughter, she has adopted many attributes of her parents. She is impulsive just like Angel-- she gets angry in one moment and calm in another moment. She's calm like Sachin, thinks everything before speaking, but if there is something wrong happening in front of her eye, she can't take it. She reacts in the way it comes to her.

Angel walks out of the kitchen and doesn't find Ruhi around. The girl must be in her room. She peeps in the room and smiles at the scenario. The girl is sitting on her study table and doing something. Angel calls her name and Ruhi hides something in the drawer. Angel narrowed her eyes.

"Kya chupa rahi ho?" She asks.

" Main nahi bataungi. "Ruhi snaps at her mom.

"Arey kyun nahi?" Angel makes a face at her daughter.

"Kyunki aapne Ruhi ko danta. Main aapse gussa hoon." Little Ruhi folds her hands across her chest.

"Aww! Koi bahut gussa hain?" Angel rolls her eyes at Ruhi.

"Han! Main aapse baat nahi karungi." Ruhi says and gets up from the chair to go out.

Angel keeps her hand on the table to see what the girl is doing, but Ruhi holds her hand and glares at her.

"No cheating! Main aapko nahi dikhaungi. Wo surprise hai!" The girl says innocently.

"Mumma se surprise nahi rakhte! "Angel says, trying to convince the girl.

"Ruhi rakhti hain. " Ruhi replies and runs to her father, who has just set a bowl of noodles on the dining table.

"Sachin , tum hi bata do. What are you and your daughter planning?" Angel asks him.

"Patience rakho, Angel. You'll get to know soon." Sachin smiles softly.

"Ye acha hai tumhara! Main kuch nahi bataun toh dono mujhe satate ho! Abhi main puch rahi hoon toh bhi wahi haal! Baby! Dekha, aapke papa aur didi mujhe kitna satate hain! "Angel says, putting her hand on her protruding belly.

Sachin smiles at her words and hugs her at which Angel jerks his hand.

"Jao, mujhe tumse aur tumhari beti se baat nahi karni."Angel says and moves towards the couch.

Ruhi and Sachin giggle at her anger. Angel throws a fiery glare at both father and daughter, who giggle softly.

"Mumma! Bas thoda sa wait!" Ruhi winks at her mother.

Meanwhile, the doorbell rings, Ruhi rushes to open the door and she hugs the newcomer.

"Bhua!! Thank God, aap aa gayi. Mumma is angry."Ruhi says.

"Kya hua mumma ko?"The newcomer asks, she is Ruhana, Sachin's younger sister.

"Bina baat ke gussa ho jaati hai aapki dost." Ruhi makes a face.

"Aww! Koi baat nahi. Main aayi hun na, Teri mumma abhi thik ho jayegi." Ruhana says.

"Ab tujhe kya hai? Tu bhi in baap beti ke toli mein shamil hone aayi hai na??" Angel glances at Ruhana.

"Arey! Itna gussa!! Why meri jaan?? Main toh tujhe ghumaane le jaane aayi hun." Ruhana says cheekily.

"Mujhe kahin na jaana. Tu Ruhi ko le jaa!" Angel snaps at Ruhana.

"Arey! Main tujhe leke jaungi pehle ki tarah! Come on, get ready." Ruhana holds her hand.

"Dekh Ruhana, mujhe na jana. Tere bhai aur bhatiji ne mujhe pareshan karke rakha hai." Angel makes a face.

"Han toh wo toh hamara right hai na!" Ruhana says and Ruhi chuckles with her paternal aunt.

"Wah! I knew tu yahi kahegi. Tum teenon mujhe bahut satate ho. Bas ek mera bhai mujhse pyar karta hai!" Angel pouts.

"Han han! Isliye 2 mahine se gayab hai tera bhai. Jaane kaunse mission pe !!" Ruhana makes a face talking about her husband and Angel's brother, Vineet.

"He'll be back soon. "Sachin says as he passes a coffee mug to Ruhana and a glass of juice to Angel.

"Han ha! Aap yahi bologe. Aapka best friend jo hai." Ruhana makes a face.

Sachin laughs while Ruhi slaps her forehead.

"Dekho Papa!! Yahan pe sab bolte hain Ruhi drama karti hai, lekin yahan toh mumma aur bhua bhi drama kar rahe hai." Ruhi says, making her elders laugh.

"Han bilkul! aapki mumma aur bhua mujhe bahut satate hain. " Sachin says at which Ruhana and Angel glare at him playfully.

"I'll see you later. " Angel says which only makes Sachin chuckle.

Ruhi shakes her head at her elders, but at the same time, Angel whines in pain, alerting her husband. He rushes by her side, asking for her wellbeing, at which Angel asks him to take her to the hospital. Sachin looks at Ruhana who assures him that she will stay with Ruhi at home.

Though, it's her eighth month, yet the pain came across before they expected. Ruhana pacifies Sachin and asks him to take Angel to the doctor. Little Ruhi gets scared to see the intense pain her mother is bearing. Ruhana shushes the little girl. They can't do anything, except to wait for the news.

It's been three hours since Sachin and Angel had gone. Ruhana is highly worried and the little girl is going cranky without her parents. She knows her mother is pained, she may argue with her but she loves her a lot. Ruhana makes Ruhi busy with a game when her phone rings. He breaks the news that Angel has given birth to a baby boy. Ruhana chuckles with happiness, and later, Sachin tells her that the baby is fine, and they will be coming back home in the evening.

Ruhana chuckles and Ruhi is elated to know about the news. Both the aunt and niece decorate the home beautifully,especially Angel and Sachin's room. Ruhana cooks dinner of their choice and little Ruhi helps her out.

It's evening by now. Ruhi looks at Ruhana.

"Bhua, mumma kab aayegi?" Se asks, it has been a whole day since she has seen her parents.

"Bas aa jayegi meri jaan! Aur hamara chotu baby bhi toh aayega na!" Ruhana says, patting her cheeks.

Ruhi nods, she may not understand the intensity of the pain or the happenings around, but now, she wants her mother by her side. Ruhana pulls her in a hug and they share a moment, when they hear the car horn.

Ruhi chuckles and rushes towards the door. Ruhana follows her and opens the door. Sachin and Angel enter the house and are astonished to see the house beautifully decorated with blue and white balloons. Ruhana welcomes her inside the house by putting a tilak on her head. She asks them to move into their room.

Ruhi runs to her parents and Sachin lifts her in his arms. She looks at the little baby cradled in her mom's arms.

"Ye toh bahut small hai, mujhse bhi!" She chuckles with joy.

"Oh yes! Isliye toh ab tum big sister ban gayi ho!" Angel says ,as she sits on the bed and puts the little one on the bed.

Ruhi smiles and picks up an envelope from the side table and gives it to her mother. Angel is astonished but she opens it and finds a card. The card has a picture of a lady with a child cradled in her arms and a little girl is sitting beside her. She has put her name beneath the girl's figure and 'mumma' below the figure of the lady. Angel opens the card and there's "Thank you" written on it and it is coloured with different colours. Angel's eyes gets teary. She pulls her daughter in a hug when Ruhi whispers 'I love you'  in her ears.

Meanwhile, the little one whines as he wakes up. Angel shakes her head.

“Chalo Sachin, ab hamare ghar mein bahut ladai hone wali hai.” She says.

“No! My babies don’t fight. “ Sachin says as he lifts the little boy in his arms.

“Toh kya main fight karti hun?” Angel asks at which both sachin and Ruhi chuckle.

“Yes!!” The father-daughter spoke in unison and Angel glares at her.

“Dekha nahi abhi apne bete ko! “ Angel glares at her husband.

“Wahi toh dekh raha hun. Kitna pyara hai na ….” Sachin says admiring the little one.

“Ofocurse, he’s my boy! Mujhpe hi jayega na!” Angel says.

“No! Wo mera bhai hai! Wo sirf meri baat maanega!” Ruhi shouts.

“Acha  ji!” Angel looks at her daughter.

“Oh yes! I promise  main uska dhyan rakhungi.” Ruhi says, stroking her brother’s head.

Angel and Sachin adore the two siblings, while Sachin kisses Angel on her head, thanking her for completing his family. She knows the meaning of his words, and she rests her head on his chest.

“My heart is full of love and our home is full of double the love we share.” She says looking at Ruhi and her baby sibling.

Sachin smiles at her words and lifts the newborn baby in his arms as the family of four share a love-filled hug.
