(A/N: I advise you to listen to this song while reading. The lyrics strangely fit and the music sksk. I love that song. Enjoy 💕)

"No! Jungkook, please give it back!" The girl innocently pleaded. He looked at her one more time, giving her a toothy smile while flipping her decorated card between his fingers.

"What if I don't want to, freckles??"

"Please, I made it for my mom. She would be sad, I promised her to make one for her."

He raised an eyebrow as he read what was written clearly and loudly so his other friends could hear, "Please, 엄마, get well soon. I love you. I need you in my liif—" he burst out into laughter as his other friends did. Ha-Eun stared at him in confusion; what was so funny about this?

He looked down at her as he smiled. "Stupid freckle, freaks never heal. You should've known that."

He continued with his annoying laughing as the others did, too.

Ha-Eun felt anger rising in her abdomen. She held onto her angered tears as she got up and tried to snatch her sprinkled card away from the devil's hands.

He raised his arm up as she tried to stand on her toes, desperately trying to reach it. She met his eyes as she did so, something strangely changing in his orbs. He suddenly stepped back as his smile faltered, replaced with a pinkish tint over his cheeks.

"Give me my card back. The only freak here is you," She said in anger.

He squinted his eyes at her as he raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? You think you're stronger with your little words, huh? Well, let's see how you'll defend yourself with words once I burn this."

"NOOOOO!!!"

That made him smile in pride as two of his friends held the girl firmly, letting her helplessly watch her colorful green Mother's Day card catching fire.

He thought it was a funny joke. It made him feel stronger, as though he had the upper arm. And he enjoyed that.

She cried out once they left her staring at the ashes. Then she lunged at Jungkook with all her force and wounded his face.

His friends held the girl once again as he got angered and hit the girl hard.

"Where's your protective boyfriend now?? Oh, right, he's sick. Hahahahaha," one of the boys laughed. But Jungkook gave him a glare that shut him up. He hated that word he used.

A crimson drop of blood trickled down her nose as her vision went blurry. Before the darkness invaded her senses, she saw the silhouette of Jungkook getting closer as he whispered, "who's the freak now, freckles?"

When she came back home late, she felt the suffocating nothingness. She knew no one was there.

Because of that boy, she was too late.
Her mother was already taken away.

Gasping for air, Ha-Eun woke up in utter shock. She could barely breathe as her tears drifted down. That memory came back haunting her again. Her fingers trembled as she couldn't even see clearly. Her chest hurt so bad while she called the first contact she found.

The phone suddenly rang loudly, waking him up immediately. He looked at the direction of the noise, wanting to go back to sleep so bad.

He finally picked the phone up after struggling. "Hello?" He asked with a raspy, sleepy voice.

"Suh-Seokjin. It's- Ha-Eu— Eun. Can you puh-please come??" He heard a shaky voice on the other end of the line.

He sat straight then. "Ha-Eun?? What's wrong? Did something happen??"

"Please, Seokjin. Co-come to my house."

"Okay. Stay where you are. I'm coming," he said before hanging up, throwing a jacket on as fast as he could and he went out, racing the rain with his car outside.

Once he reached her apartment, Ha-Eun shakily opened the door. And he entered as soon as he could.

"Ha-Eun? What's wrong?? Are you hurt? What happened??" He flooded her with questions as he held her arms and checked for any injuries.

Her tears fell down as she suddenly  hugged him tightly.

Shook by what she just did, he slowly brought his hand to her back, lightly patting it gently as he tried to calm her.

She cried in his embrace, letting all the tears, the fear and the unwanted memories out. At last when Seokjin led her to the couch, she followed him and sat.

"You wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"I-I had that dream again."

"Oh." He nodded understandingly.

He sat there with her and heard her sobbing, telling him what happened again. For a sleepy tired guy that loved his warm cozy bed so much, he should've been very annoyed by it. But for some reason, his heart clenched as he saw her tears fall, he wanted to relieve her from her sorrow, whatever it took. It didn't even feel that awkward to hug her small figure anymore.

"Seokjin?"

"Hmm?"

"Can you.. stay with me tonight?"

"I..."

"Please, just this night. I can't... stay alone." She shut her eyes as the memories played again. And she opened them again. Even closing her tired eyelids brought her pain.

He sighed. "Okay."

He led her to her bed. She lay there and covered herself. "Goodnight." He was about to leave when she grasped his arm. "No, please. Don't.."

"Then where can I stay?"

She clutched her duvet, not knowing what to answer. But she couldn't stay alone or she would hurt herself again.

"C-can you hold me until I sleep? I know it's weird. But I know I'll harm myself if you don't."

Hands in his jacket pockets, he skeptically looked at her. But a small voice in his head urged him to feel her warm embrace again, already liking it. (A/N: pervert alert)

He slid himself beside her, laying on top of the bed sheets as he held her from the back softly.

Her heart finally felt at ease, suddenly feeling safe at his warm touch. And she slowly closed her eyelids as the rain drops fell against her window outside.
