|All night| Jameson Hawthorne|

This one i thought of myself. This will be a multiple part one if all goes well. Its from Y/N's pov the whole time. Basically she is Avery and Libby's little sister, she is in this massive like love square where Avery likes Jameson AND Grayson, they both like Y/N and she likes both (after a while) but she knows Avery likes both so feels like she cant act on it. Woah that was confusing to explain. Basically its set three days after she moves in after, Avery's first day of school, Y/n starts school a day later. Anyway, ive probably just confused you more but uhmmm yeah. Enjoy.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I wake up in Avery's room on her bed as she sleeps soundly on the couch beside it. Through blurry eyes I look at the clock and blink until the time becomes clear. 3:11am. I celebrate silently as this means I have another four and a half sweet hours of rest. We only went to sleep at around 1am because of our monthly tradition of high school musical marathons. Libby must've made it into her own room before going to sleep however I didn't have that luxury. I flop back down onto the soft and fluffy pillows. My eyes shut and I almost fall asleep but before I am granted that luxury, I find myself falling and immediately jolting awake. I hate when that happens. Once again, my eyes go to the clock, 3:13am. Yet again my eyes close and my head meets the pillows. This time, sleep doesn't even come close to visiting. I keep my eyes closed for what feels like hours, praying sleep will come but it never does. I open my eyes yet again and look towards the clock I've looked at far too many times. 3:34am. Rather than spending another 20 minutes desperately awaiting rest, I decide to get up for a glass of water.

I carefully remove the thick duvet off me and move towards the door. I try to stay silent as I creak the door open slightly, I'm met with the confused and concerned face of Oren as well as the night guard who had previously been speaking with each other. "Can't sleep" i explain briefly, he approves with a quick nod before continuing his conversation. I make my way out of the wing with ease but by the time I'm out, I'm completely lost. This place is like a castle, every room is bigger than Lib's house back home. All the lights are off and there could be someone right behind me and I wouldn't know. I turn left then right until I'm at my own room, but this isn't where I'm aiming to go.

Once I'm in my room I grab my phone and activate the torch and leave my room yet again. This time I know exactly where I'm going and how to get there. I turn left, then right, another right, straight ahead then I am met with the familiar staircase. I rush down and almost tumble on the third from last step but catch myself. I make a left then through a door until I'm in the kitchen, I switch my torch off and place my phone inside the deep pocket of my gray sweats. I'm met with the kind face of Mrs Laughin alone in the kitchen.

"Hello Y/n, everything okay?" She asks with a smile. "Yeah, I'm just getting a glass of water. Can't sleep" i justify. I smile picking up a glass and moving towards the sink, "Oh don't be silly, I'll do that" she says. "That's okay, I'll be out of your hair soon" I laugh, "Nonsense" she laughs back. Mrs Laughin is a friend of the Hawthorne's and does a lot around here, I think she must be doing a night shift in the kitchen tonight. "Goodnight" I say before exiting. "Goodnight dear" she replies.

I carry the glass of water upstairs with me, ditching the torch until I'm at the top of the stairwell. I remove it from the pocket and turn it back on, this time I almost drop my water when I'm met with the second from youngest Hawthorne brother. I curse under my breathe as my water slightly spills down the edge of the cold glass. He does this too, clearly alarmed by my presence. "What are you doing up at this time!" I scold quietly as I wipe the sleeve of my sweater around the class to capture any spilt liquid. "I could ask you the same thing" He scolds back. I don't know him very well and I've never had a conversation with just him, he seems pretty crazy like he's always chasing after something, to be fair i only met him 3 days ago and I've already heard bad things about him. He is the second from youngest of the four boys (Nash is 22, Grayson is 19, Jameson is 18 and Xander is 17) I'm youngest of us three girls (Libby is 22, Avery is 17 and I'm 16 but I'm 17 in like a week).

"I couldn't sleep" I explain, I signal for him to say what he was doing and he does. "Same" he breathes. We stand awkwardly for a moment before I make a move to step around him. Before I can take anymore steps his voice makes me stop, "If you still can't sleep by ten passed four, I'll be at your room, If you don't come out I'll just presume you got to sleep" he offers. "Why?" I ask cautiously, he doesn't reply, instead he simply shrugs with a smirk and walks away. I shake my head as I walk back to my wing, there always seems to be a mystery amongst the Hawthorne boys. My curious side wants to stay awake and not risk missing what he wants, the other side desperately needs and wants sleep, yet another side doesn't care and definitely doesn't want to give him the pleasure of winning.

Regardless, I open my door and enter, I keep my torch on and on the small table beside my bed facing upwards, acting as a makeshift nightlight. My biggest fear has always been the dark and it always will be. I gulp down my water which leaves me with a slight stomach ache but I power through it and stand up, I place the glass on a coffee table that I still believe has no right in anyones bedroom no matter how rich a person is. I move towards the television that also doesn't belong in a bedroom either and beneath it are two outlets, one has a child safety cap because Lib and Avery still don't trust me which is understandable even though I'm 16. The other is occupied by a kids night light that was originally white until Lib put clear pink tinted tape over because I didn't like how bright it was. I hit the button on the left once then spin the small dial on the right so it sets it for 30 minutes. When the light goes out if I'm still awake I will know to go outside.

I instinctively change into my pj's rather than the sweats i was originally wearing. I through on long pants with frills at the bottom with a spaghetti strap vest, both white with a pale blue colour on the rims. I turn my IPhone flash off and let my head sink into the mountain of pillows. The sheets are cold and I love it that way. I close my eyes and through closed eyes I can still see the remnants of pink shining through.

It feels like seconds before the light goes out and I hesitate before sitting up. I grab my phone, check the time (4:10am) and turn the torch on yet again and slip into my slippers. I walk towards the door quietly and contemplate actually going outside, I almost open the door before I decide to wait. I check my phone every few seconds until it reaches 4:11am so I don't seem desperate. I open the door and as promised Jameson Hawthorne stands leaning against the frame of my door with that famous Hawthorne smile.

"Fancy seeing you here" he says. "Why exactly did you want me to meet you?" I ask, getting straight to the point. "Follow me" he says, grabbing my arm and trying to walk with me "Nope! No way!" I say pulling back. "What? Why?" He asks, "I've heard things!" I mutter. "What 'things'" he mocks with a slight chuckle. "Well some girl told Ave at school yesterday that "The last person to stay here died" plus I have school tommorow." I explain and his face drops slightly making me feel empty. "So what? I have school too but that doesn't mean I'm going." He stated. I roll my eyes slightly as he turns and walks away, "Fuck it" I affirm quietly and moving to follow after him. When I reach him, he holds out his hand and I decline his offer.

He walks me out of my wing and in the direction of his own wing, when we get inside the wing he drags me towards his bedroom and I stop before we enter, "nope!" I demand, "woah... no... passages?!" He laughs clearly expecting me to understand what he means. "Just trust me?" He asks hopefully and for some stupid reason I accept this offer. I follow him inside and he flips the light switch on, I make a move to turn my flash off before he interrupts me "You'll need that" he says. I'm slightly confused but do as said and keep my torch on.

He walks towards a fireplace with two tall candlesticks that remind me of Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast. He places both hands on the candlestick and gestures for me to do the same to the other. I open my mouth and place my Phone inside it, clamping it shut and holding the phone with my lips. He pulls and instructs me to do the same, I pull it as hard as I can and something makes a slight click sound. The door swings back causing me to fall down, Jameson had stepped backwards and managed to stay steady, presumably because he knew it would happen. He reaches out his hand and this time I take it, he pulls me up with strong arms. "You good?" he more mutters this time to make sure I'm alright. "Fine" i dismiss.

He walks through the newly appeared tunnel and I blink a few times, how the hell did I get myself into this. Clearly this is the reason I was warned to keep my flashlight on. I pass my phone to him as he is in front. He leads me through the pitch black, tight tunnel which is cold and echoey. We turn a corner and I find myself swatting at my own back as I feel a slight tickle. I try so hard to ease my irritation but it won't go away. I sigh loudly and Jameson clearly notices this, "What?" He asks blankly. "I think there's a bug on my back or something." I groan. He stops walking matching my sigh as he turns around and I do the same. "Shit" he curses under his breathe. "What?" I panic, "there's a huge spider, I think it's poisonous" he shudders. Now i start panicking, I shake myself violently repeatedly asking if its off. "I'll get it" he continues speaking fearfully below a whisper, i feel his cool hand press against the thin material of my pj's. The crawling feeling disappears and i let out a breathe. I turn slowly in order to see the poisonous creature held in his hand, instead im met with a tiny tiny spider that is no bigger than an atom or something. He bursts out laughing mockingly, i swat his arm annoyedly and we continue walking,

"Are you scared of spiders or something?" He laughs, "No but -like most people- im don't want to be bit by massive poisonous ones" i sigh, rolling my eyes despite the fact he's facing the other way and its dark as hell. "What are you scared of?" He asks, "If i tell you then you'll use it against me" I defend, "Secrets are overrated" he scoffs. "Ok then, what are you scared of?" I ask, this time I'm pretty sure I've won this little competition until he responds, "Failure" he says fleetingly. "Failure? Why do you need to care about failure? If all else fails in life Mother dearest will just buy you a car to cheer you up and then a house to get you back on your feet" i laugh. I don't know much about rich kids but I do know that they get what they want when they want it and they never worry, maybe that's stereotyping but lets be honest most of the time it's true.

He stays silent until we reach a final turn, we are met with a ladder leading higher than the previous tunnel. "Now you know my biggest fear, what's yours?" He asks with a smirk, he places both hands on the ladder and begin climbing, i follow closely behind. "I have no fears" i lie, really theres too many to count. "Come on! Fear is one of the biggest factors of life are you saying your just exempt to life?" He asks. He reaches the top of the ladder and climbs out of a circled hole above. I reach the top seconds after and he reaches a hand out without hesitation, helping me out of the hole. I feel my breathe catch in my throat when i witness the beautiful view from the mansion, i gulp it down, taking in the sight from what feels like a thousand feet up. The sun peaks through a gap in low down trees threatening to rise, tree's swaying with the slight breezing that is a lot stronger up here yet still keeps at a steady pace making it not too strong. I look towards the moon high in the sky that feels closer, as though I could take a very high jump and land, somehow. The sky is dark but the stars and the moon shine over the expensive homes. The sun is supposed to rise in an hour yet it still peaks high enough to manage a reflection on the ocean which I can see from up here, despite it being quite far away.

My eyes finally make their way to potentially the most beautiful sight of all, Jameson Hawthorne. He stares at me with a smile, "How often do you come up here?" I ask, its clear he is familiar with the direction he was walking in. "Every time I need too since I found it when I was 11" he smiles in reminisce. I decide to enjoy the silence and lean bag on the slanted roof. I dont even notice his arm draped across my shoulder until I shuffle in my position. Not in a romantic way of course though. I don't bother removing it or trying to get away from it, i just indulge in his comfort. "I'm scared of a lot" i admit softly. "We have time" he smirks gently and I feel his chest rise and fall. "I'm scared of social situations with strangers which is so stupid because... like... who's scared of other people, plus I'm scared of thunder who the hell is scared of a fucking sound.. I'm also scared of blood which I think is normal but Ave always says is the most unreasonable out of all my fears... and the worst one is the dark, I mean come on I'm sixteen years old and I can't sleep without a night light." I rant smoothly. To my surprise he doesn't laugh, instead he just breathes for a little until he finally pipes up "Fear is normal" he says briefly. I don't reply, instead I go back to watching the sun slowly rise.

After the sun is successfully in the sky I glance at my phone for the time. 6:45am. That means.. "We've been here for three hours ten minutes" i speak softly but still shockingly, "Two hours thirty-four minutes" he corrects with a chuckle, I quickly do the maths again in my mind and yet again end in the conclusion of three hours ten minutes but don't speak up in case I sound stupid. "We're usually eating breakfast right now" I realise still calm yet slightly more worried. We've only been here for three days but we have gotten into a routine and it works for me. "Come on then" he says, swiftly removing his arm from around me and descending into the hole of the roof. I quickly lean over the hole to insure he is ok after harshly jumping down a 20 foot hole. Of course though, he is fine as he stands at the bottom of the ladders with a smirk.

I shake my head and place my foot on the top step. I slowly and carefully make my way down and when I reach the bottom we retreat back the way we came until finally we are back inside his bedroom. Its only now i notice how bland it is, no posters, no pictures or plants, no unique bedsheets (just the same white ones I have in my room) its almost Identical to my room however I thought mine was only basic because I just got here but clearly I'm not the only one with an empty room. Avery and Lib both have photos of us three sisters, Avery has some of Max, Mom, Mom and us, places she wants to visit. They both have colourful lights, posters, jewellery and bed sheets. Mine is empty, the same way it was when it was given to me with the exception of one night light with tape over it and a necklace placed loosely on my side table that Mom gave to me before her passing as well as a ripped out photo of Mom that I took a month before she died.

I continue looking around his room in search for anything to prove it isn't some guest room. My eyes finally find one thing, a white box with red text that i recognise to be a card box sits next to a golden watch that looks like its worth more than me. My eyes search around more and I finally come across a framed photo of a beautiful girl with straight auburn hair that appears to be thin and fluffy. She has a beautiful green dress on a smile plastered across her face. Her eyes twinkle in the sun as she makes a face suggesting she doesn't want to have this photo taken. The picture frame is placed next to his bed on his side table and when he notices my eyes lingering on it, he walks quickly towards it and picks it up, he opens a drawer and places the frame inside. The drawer is then violently closed and I kind of open my eyes slightly wider.

"Is that your girlfriend?" I ask kindly, he thinks for a moment and has the same uncomfortable and sad face he had earlier. "Yeah" he dismisses almost as if he's unsure. "She's very pretty" I speak sincerely. His eyes close as if denying access to tears falling, he nods and sighs. "She is" he speaks more to himself. I put the dots together and feel terrible, personally I've never had a boyfriend to breakup with but I've watched all the movies and heard all the songs so i can only imagine the heartache he is going through. I decide to drop it and I walk out the door, he follows closely behind and we as he shuts his door I wait beside him. Oren walks passed us right as we exit the room "We weren't..." Jameson starts slowly justifying but Oren just winks and continues walking "no we weren't-" he gives up and sighs, "I don't understand" I whisper quietly to Jameson as we walk downstairs who tries to explain "He thought... nothing" he dismisses.

We walk down the stairs and reach the dining room filled with Hawthornes and my family. I gulp down the lump in my throat caused by all the eyes facing us. "Good Morning" Xander is the first to break the silence. "It is a good morning isn't it" Jameson sighs happily, taking one of the last remaining seats beside Avery, I'm stuck with the one next to him which happens to be top of the table, opposite the man who passed aways' mother. "We were just talking about movies, what your favourite movie kid?" Nash asks me, I freeze on the spot unsure what to say and pretty intimidated by the heads facing me. I feel my knee bob up and down under the table quickly, a habit I used to do all the time. Nobody seems to notice my discomfort except Jameson who somehow picks up and changes the topic. "Movies are terrible! Why don't people go outside anymore?" He says causing everyone to start a table wide argument. I laugh quietly at this and he turns to me with a smirk leaving me with a quick wink before turning back towards Xander and arguing more.

Im presented with a blazer and tie as well as a skirt followed by a shirt. I reluctantly change into them after brushing my teeth, cleaning my face and showering as well as drying my hair and braiding it into two tight french braids. My hair is thick and blond but when its wet it is a deep brown which still kind of confuses me. I throw on the blazer and exit my room before having one last look at the time on my phone which is then placed into my blazer pocket. 7:32am. Three minutes until we are scheduled to leave. I bolt down the tall abundance of stairs until I reach the crowd of people, I spot Avery talking with Oren and Alisa, Xander talking to Nash who is trying to ignore him as he talks with my eldest sister. Grayson stands checking his watch until he meets my eyes. He walks in my direction and stops when he reaches me. He doesn't proceed with any conversation, instead just stands there.

"Yes?" I ask as calmly as I can as he is testing my patience. "I don't want you near my brother" he makes no eye contact as we speak, he simply watches everyone else and I do so too. "Going to have to be a little more specific there Grayster" I smirk. "I don't want you near Jameson" he corrects. "I don't want myself near Jameson either" I speak honestly. There's a short silence, "I don't want you or the rest of your family near mine." He upgrades, "I don't want my family near yours either! Glad we're on the same page but too bad because we stay here now." I tease. He backs down and begins to walk away until he clearly changes his mind and stops, "I don't know what you did or had against my Grandfather but I will get to the bottom of it and you will not corrupt my family." He warns and I laugh, he gives me a seriously deadly look and I put a hand over my lips in attempt to cease my laughter but clearly the loud slips of laughter announced my presence, everyone is now staring at me.

I try to spot one face in particular but he is nowhere to be seen. I make a move for the door and everyone seems to take this as a cue to do so too, until we are all outside the mansion facing a black SUV. Avery takes a seat in the back of the car on the right side after hugging Lib goodbye. Avery had decided yesterday it was fine for Xander to get a ride from Oren with us so he sits on the left in the back and I take my seat in the passenger seat. Oren starts the car and we almost start moving before the back door opens, Jameson is revealed and confused faces circle the courtyard, "Since when do you do school?" Xander asks. Jameson's tie is placed across his shoulder and his top buttons are undone revealing more of his chest than I would like to see yet can't stop staring at. He shrugs and climbs into the car, completely regarding Xander's space by climbing over him. I turn my head and find his eyes already fixed on me, I do something I never thought I would do and smile, not a sarcastic one, or a mischievous one just a genuine smile. He does something even stranger and returns it. My head makes its way to the window where I find Grayson's eyes burning through me. I revisit my mischievous smile and wink. His jaw locks and soon enough I can't see him as Oren drives away.
