Forgotten || Sirius Black

Sirius's POV

"Keep up Wormtail!" Sirius called behind him, hearing Peters shuffling foot steps catching up with them.

"Thanks again guys, for staying with me." Remus said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. Sirius rolled his eyes.

"Corse we'd stay with you! We'd be crazy not to. Right Prongsy?" Sirius asked, turning to look at his messy haired friend. Sirius stopped in his tracks as he saw James standing a little ways ahead of them.

Once Sirius caught up to him he noticed that James was standing over the unconscious form of a girl. Her eyes where closed and her (y/h/c) spread out across the ground; for some reason the face of the unconscious girl stirred up some unrecognisable feelings towards her.

"Who is she?" Peter asked, appearing at Sirius's elbow.

"I don't know but she's wearing Hogwarts robes." James answered, taking a closer look at her (y/h) robes.

"Well, we can't leave her out here." Sirius decided, picking up the sleeping girl and carrying her towards the castle. As Sirius looked into her face, it became more and more familiar.

Readers POV

Groaning you rolled over.

Feeling the crisp sheets under your fingers you opened your eyes only to be met with white sheets and white curtains surrounding your white bed.

'Am I dead?'

That's the first thing that you though of, but then another voice in your head argued that that wasn't quite possible.

As soon as your started sitting up the sound of someone walking briskly towards you filled your ears. Suddenly the curtains where wrenched back, revealing a woman in white and black robes with a stern face.

"Your awake." The woman stated, a mild shocked expression covered her face.

"I am." You said with out realising you where speaking, the words flowed from your mouth so naturally.

"Let me give you a quick check up then I'll go and alert Professor Dumbledore." She said again, more to herself then to you. But before you could ask any questions she had finished asking you questions about how you felt and bustled off through the curtains and closed them behind her.

Looking around the curtained off area, in which you inhabited, you spotted an odd stick laying on the night stand next to your bed. Picking it up a warm sensation spread through your hand. Fighting the urge to drop this strange stick you gave it a little flick and white sparks flew out the tip.

Shocked you slammed the stick back onto the night stand. Twiddling with your hands in your lap.

A few minutes later an old man walked through the curtains. He had a kind face and bright blue eyes that where hidden behind half moon spectacles. He had a white beard that was so long, he could tuck it into his belt.

"Hello, do you mind if I sit?" He asked gesturing to end of the bed you where sitting in. Shaking your head you shuffled you legs to cross over one and other as the old man sat down at the edge of your bed.

"My name is Albus Dumbledore, now I don't suppose you could tell me yours?" He asked, a twinkle egnighting in his eyes.

For a split second you racked your brain to try and remember your name. But you couldn't, that wasn't supposed to happen. Then it hit you.

You couldn't remember anything.

"I'm sorry, Sir. But I don't know my name. In fact, I can't remember anything at all." You said, sadness creeping into your voice.

"Now that is strange." The man called Albus Dumbledore said, staring at you. "When you where found, you where wearing Hogwarts robes. Do you know what Hogwarts is?" He asked.

The word Hogwarts, as odd as it was, did sound familiar. But once again you shook your head.

"Like I said before, I don't remember anything." You said, not meeting his eyes.

Sirius's POV

Sirius rifled through his draws, not looking for anything in particular, but he stubbled across a photograph. This photograph was taken in The Three Broom Sticks pup down in Hogsmeade.

As Sirius examined the photo he noticed that next to the photo version of himself there was an empty chair. The photo Sirius had his arm around the chair as if someone was sitting their. As Sirius was contemplating this James burst into the dormitory.

"Hey Pads, it's time to go to Dumbledore's office." He said, dropping his Charms book onto his bed.

"Hey Prongs, does this look odd to you?" Sirius asked, gesturing for James to look at the photo clutched in his outstretched hand.

James picked up the photo and stared at it, confusion flashing across his face.

"Yeah, it looks like your arm's around someone but they are invisible." James mused, continuing to stare at the photo.

"And don't you remember that girl we found? Doesn't she look really familiar." Sirius added, taking the picture back from his friend and placing it on his night stand.

James thought for a moment, "Now that I think about it, she kinda does."

"What if, the girl we found in the forest is the person who's missing in this photo." Sirius asked, excitement bubbling up inside him.

"That's a bit far fetched, isn't it Pads?" James asked, running a hand though his hair.

"It's worth a shot." Sirius sighed staring over at the photo, "But, don't you feel like something is missing?" He continued, looking back up at his best mate.

"You know, I was thinking that I feel like someone isn't here who should be." James answered, rubbing his eyes.

"What if its her." Sirius couldn't quite calm himself down, he desperately wanted to know who this mystery girl was.

"Look, you can ask Dumbledore. I just don't want to get your hopes up, Pads." James sighed, turning towards the door and swinging it open, "Now, lets go. Moony and Wormtail are waiting."

Sirius scooped up the photo and followed his friend down into the common room. As the four Marauders walked towards the headmasters office, Sirius explained his theory to his other best friends.

As the four boys walked down the corridor, they where met by professor Dumbledore himself. Standing next to a statue of a gargoyle, hands clasped in front him and humming softly. The boys approached carefully, Dumbledore's bright blue eyes landed on the four fifth years.

"Ah, boys. Lovely to see you again, I wish it was on happier terms." Dumbledore smiled sadly. He then turned to the gargoyle and said clearly, "Sugar Quill."

The five of them walked up a small, spiral stair case and towards a wooden door. They entered the circular room where Dumbledore swept towards his desk, settled himself in the chair and motioned for the four nervous boys to stand in front of his chair.

"Professor Dumbledore, I may have an idea about the girl that we found in the woods." Sirius spoken abruptly.

"And what might that be Mister Black?" Professor Dumbledore inquired, turing his eyes upon the rugged boy.

Sirius dug his hands into his pockets and reluctantly handed the photograph to his headmaster.

"This photograph was taken earlier this year. Except if you look closely between Remus and I you'll notice that it looks like someone should be sat their." Sirius explained, being carful not to mention that he had a strong fondness towards the unknown girl.

Professor Dumbledore adjusted his glasses slightly and stared down at the photo. Examining every detail.

"It seems that Mister Black is correct." Dumbledore concluded, drawing away from the photo and handing it back to Sirius, who hurriedly stuffed it back in his pocket.

"It seems that the whole school has a strange aurora around it. Just this morning Miss Evens came to see me about a jumper that she had stumbled upon in her dormitory. Though, it wasn't a jumper belonging to anyone in Gryffindor." Dumbledore stated, opening one of his many desk draws and pulling out a jumper.

An image suddenly popped into his head. This image being of the unknown girl he'd found wearing that jumper. Sitting in the Gryffindor common room with a wide smile spreading on her features.

"That's the girls jumper. I just had a memory. She was wearing it, we where sat in the Gryffindor common room and you three where also there." Sirius said, turing to face his three best friends.

"Well." Dumbledore sighed, pushing the jumper towards Sirius.

"It seems that the entire school has forgotten who this girl is, along with herself. I will talk to Madam Pomfrey and professor Slughorn about finding an antidote. I assume you'd like to keep this?" Dumbledore asked, nodding towards the jumper. Sirius nodded and took the jumper.

"Thank you boys, that will be all." Professor Dumbledore stated.

-

"We have to find an antidote." Sirius stated as the four Marauders entered the Great Hall for supper.

"But Dumbledore said he'll talk to Pomfrey and Slughorn." Peter Said, sitting down at the Gryffindor table and piling food onto his plate.

"I know that Wormtail." Sirius snapped, sighing and running a hand through his tasselled hair, "But they'll take to long. I need to find an antidote now." Sirius continued, picking at his food. His appetite leaving him.

"It's okay Pads, we'll help you. Won't we lads?" James said, clapping his friend on the shoulder. Sirius could help but smile.

But at that moment a group of snickering Ravenclaws stalked passed, "Hows your girlfriend, Black?" One hissed as the others roared with laughter.

"Their talking about her." Remus muttered, his eyes trailing the Ravenclaws.

"Do you think they did it?" James asked, his eyes flickering between the Ravenclaws and Sirius.

"I don't know."

Remus closed 'Moste Potente Potions' and looked into the cauldron.  "Yeah, it looks ready." He nodded.

No sooner had he said that a very dishevelled James staggered into the dormitory.

"I know how they did it." He panted, placing his hands on his knees.

"Who did what?" Sirius asked, confusion lacing his horse voice. The boys had been up all night trying to perfect the potion.

As James was about to answer a loud snore ripped through the air. All eyes turned to Peter, who was sprawled out on his bed, sound asleep.

Sirius threw a chocolate frog at the boy, startling him. Sitting up, Peter looked around the room.

"Oh, hello Prongs. When did you get back?" Peter yawned, unwrapping the frog and stuffing it into his mouth.

"Just now." James answered, rolling his eyes.

"As I was about to say, I know how the Ravenclaws made everyone forget about the girl." James continued, sitting down and leaning against his bed.

"How?" The three other boys chorused.

"Well. I asked one of them if any Ravenclaws had come in recently. They where all to scared to answer. Turns out the Ravenclaws had blackmailed the elves into not talking by threatening them with cloths. The Ravenclaws had given them a potion and put it in all the liquids in Hogwarts. So that we would all ingest the potion and forget about the girl."

"Except them." Remus finished causing James to nod.

"Those slimy git's!" Sirius exclaimed. Anger flooding through his veins.

"Don't worry Pads, we'll get them back." James assured him.

"But first lets get this potion to Madam Pomfrey." Remus added.

-

"Is this all the potion you have?" Madam Pomfrey asked, raising the potion to her eyes and peering at the vile.

"No professor. There's a whole cauldron full back in our dormitory." James answered.

"And you're sure that this will work?" She questioned.

"Yes professor. All we need is one of the girls hairs and then we have to get the whole school to drink it. Then-"

"Yes, Mister Lupin, I am aware how the potion will work. My question was will it work? This is a very complicated potion. But I don't doubt your ever growing knowledge Mister Lupin. So, I suppose we must give it a try." She continued, walking over to a bed with curtains draw around it.

James placed a hand on Sirius's shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze, "It's okay mate." He smiled. All Sirius could do was nod.

Madam Pomfrey bustled back over, vile clutched in hand.

"Mister Black, Potter and Pettigrew, you three must go and lie down on one of the beds and drink this potion. You will be unconscious for several hours before you regain consciousness where you will, hopefully, have full memories of the girl." She said handing Sirius the bottle.

"What about me Madam Pomfrey?"  Remus asked, worry flashing across his face.

"You, Mister Lupin. Will help me with the rest of the potion. We will have to make all the students drink it." She sighed and walked out with Remus trailing behind her.

Sirius raised the bottle to his lips and took a swig. Suddenly he felt dizzy, staggering he gave the bottle to James, then Sirius stumbled to the bed next to the, soon to be known, unknown girl's. As soon as  Sirius's head hit the pillow he was out.

Readers POV

Images of people flashed repeatedly through my mind. The face's became more and more familiar. My friends, family, school and so much more burst into my mind as I began to remember who I was.

I slowly opened my eyes. I felt a hand in mine.

Sitting you I was met by my three best friends all snoring loudly. And to my right was my beloved boyfriend, Sirius Black. His head on the bed and hand in mine.

I gave it a little squeeze, his brown eyes fluttered open looking around the room then landing on me.

"(y/n)! You're awake!" He yelled, flinging his arms around me pulling me into a tight hug and kissing my check.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you. I can't believe I forgot who you where. I'm the worst boyfriend ever! I'm so sorry." He whispered, nuzzling his head into the crook of my neck.

"It's not your fault, Sirius. This was completely out of your hands. You couldn't have done anything to stop it." You answered, hugging him tightly and rubbing his back.

"Dumbledore said that you can choose the punishment of the Ravenclaws that did this to you. Either you can choose to expel them or we get to pull our best prank ever!" He exclaimed, pulling away slightly and kissing my forehead.

"How about both." I grinned up at him, causing him to laugh.

"That's my girl."
