During the course of their journey, the unlikely duo of Dwarf Slayer Gotrek Gurnisson and Human Chronicler Felix Jaeger have travelled throughout the length and breadth of the Old World, battling dark forces and stopping evil plots in Gotrek's quest for a heroic death against a terrible foe. During one of their many adventures, Gotrek and Felix were locked in a deadly battle against the Skaven. As they killed a group of Skaven, a Rat Ogre suddenly attacked them. 

Gotrek: OVER HERE, YA BIG UGLY RAT!

As Gotrek charged into battle with both of his axes, the Rat Ogre slams his fists in the ground, knocking both Gotrek and Felix back.

Felix: It seems that Rat Ogre is going to be a problem. 

Gotrek: Aye, Manling. That makes the fight even better!

As the Rat Ogre was about to attack, a voice spoke up.

???: Stop-halt, Boneripper!

Boneripper stops as Grey Seer Thanquol approaches them.

Thanquol: You thought you could escape-flee me?! Ha! None escape-flee from Grey Seer Thanqoul! You will call-know me as master-king! Whatever I say-squeak, you do! If you obey-please me, I will let-allow you to live.

As Thanquol pointed his staff at Gotrek and Felix, the two readied their weapons. 

Thanquol: I will bring-deliver your heads to the Council! So suffer all who defy the destiny of Thanquol! Die-die, foolish No-Furs. Boneripper! Kill! Kill!

Boneripper roars as he attacks both Gotrek and Felix. The two adventurers charged and fought the hulking Rat Orge in combat. During the fight, Felix slides under Boneripper and slashes at the Rat Ogre's legs. 

Felix: NOW GOTREK! 

Gotrek runs up Boneripper and climbs up the Rat Ogre. Gotrek screams as he digs both of his axes into Boneripper's head, killing him. Gotrek pulls the axes out of Boneripper's skull and laughs. 

Gotrek: Ha! That the best you got?! 

Thanquol: I am servant of the Great Horned Rat! Suffer-suffer my wrath!

Thanquol then attacks both Gotrek and Felix with magical attacks. The two adventurers attempt to get in close, but Thanquol's magic kept them at a distance. 

Felix: We can't get close!

Gotrek: Aw don't get teary eyed now, Manling! The fun has only just begun! 

Gotrek laughs as he charges in and attacks Thanquol with relentless vigor. As the Dwarf Slayer closes the gap, Felix was able to follow up and land several strikes on the Grey Seer. At this point, Thanquol presents a medallion. 

Thanquol: HAHAHA! Look-see, Dwarfthing! Behold, the most strong-powerful weapon in the Skaven hoard-arsenal! 

Gotrek: You know how many times I've seen a foe present something that they claim to be the most powerful weapon in their arsenal?

Thanquol: Foolish Dwarfthing cannot comprehend-understand the power that I hold-wield in my hands! This medallion is powered-fueled by an ancient Warpstone and is blessed-blessed by the Great Horned Hat!

Gotrek smiled as he gripped his axes. If what the Grey Seer said is true, then perhaps this medallion would be the means that would allow Gotrek to die a good death. 

Gotrek: A mighty bold claim, Grey Seer. Manling! This may be where we part ways. 

Felix: Do you really believe so?

Gotrek: Aye. If I am able to enter the halls of my ancestors, then I'll be sure to put in a good word for you. You've been a faithful companion. 

Felix: Do not be so quick to assume your time is near. How many times have you believe this battle to be the one only for it to be a false promise?

Gotrek: Then how about this? If I survive this battle, then I'll buy you the next drink. I'll be sure to buy you proper Dwarf Ale!

Felix: I'll hold you to that offer. 

At this point, Thanquol becomes frustrated.

Thanquol: You dare ignore-disregard me?! 

Gotrek: I was simply making arrangements to my companion. If that medallion of yours is as powerful as you say, then you best hope that your word holds true or else you'll know the unforgiving wrath of an angry Dwarf Slayer! 

Thanquol: Witness the power-strength of the Great Horned Rat! YES-YES!

Gotrek then charges at Thanquol as the Grey Seer charges up the medallion. Felix joins Gotrek in the charge. As all this happened, a strange blue liquid begins seeping from the ground with no one realizing this. As Thanquol prepares to unleash the power of the medallion, Gotrek manages to land a critical blow on the medallion, cracking it. Immediately, power begins building up within the medallion. 

Thanqoul: Foolish No-Furs! Do you know-understand what you have done?!

Gotrek: And now you'll feel the unforgiving wrath of an angry Dwarf Slayer!

But as Gotrek moved to kill Thanquol, the unstable medallion makes contact with the strange blue liquid. The Warpstone within the medallion began to glow both green and purple. 

Felix: What in Sigmar's name is that?! 

Thanquol: Foolish No-Furs! Enjoy death-death!

Thanquol then runs away as a powerful shockwave knocks both Gotrek and Felix back. The two adventurers were taken aback by the sight they were seeing. Before they could react, both Gotrek and Felix hit by a blinding light. When the light faded, Gotrek and Felix were nowhere to be seen. When Thanquol saw this, he rejoiced, thinking that he had at last killed Gotrek and Felix after the two had foiled his plans as well as humiliate him on many many ocassions. But what he didn't realize was that Gotrek and Felix were not dead. Instead, Gotrek and Felix would quickly find themselves in a strange new world. And from this, an entirely new adventure awaited Gotrek and Felix.
