✨ minimalistic covers ✨

hi guys ! today i'll be showing y'all how to make minimalistic covers !
i don't make them very often since i enjoy making manipulated covers more , so be patient with me here lol

i'll be making two covers today , an object based and one with a faceclaim.

apps needed — picsart, phonto & pinterest

__________

first , what's a minimalistic cover ?

a lot of people place simple and minimalistic covers in the same category since they both required very little resources and extras . a minimalistic cover is more simple than a simple cover (does that make sense idk) since a simple cover can look simple , but require different types of resources . a minimalistic cover revolves around very few resources , mostly 1-2.

i hope that makes sense since i usually get questions as to what certain types of covers mean , so i hope this kind of gives you an idea !

here's a visual comparison , but keep in mind that simple and minimalistic covers come in all different forms , so don't be like "that's wrong" in the comments please lol —

_________

now to the tutorial —

for the first cover , i'll be using this picture i found on pinterest —

i then go to picsart , choose a past cover i've made as the base (so the size is the same) and add that picture on top , like this —

then i go to "draw" and choose the color picker tool and place it on the background color —

after doing so , i draw over the bottom of the cover , so it all looks like one picture .

i then save it , go to phonto , add some simple text and it's done !

here's the final result —

cover #2 — faceclaim

this is the picture i'll be using —

i then open a past cover on picsart as the base , and place that picture on top —

i then follow the same steps as the first cover , basically cover the top with the same color as the background . i also added a few picsart effects —

keep in mind that you don't have to do this with your minimalistic covers ! i'm only doing this since i'm not using any other other pictures and i want more space for text . the only "rule" in minimalistic covers is to keep it simple :)

you can add very small extras if you'd like , but that's all i'll be doing since it's minimalistic .

i then go to phonto , add text and that's it ! here's the ending result —

__________

these covers are basically the most simple covers there are , but i hope this was still helpful to some !

next in line

good editing apps

leave any tutorial suggestions in the comments and i'll let you know if i can make a tutorial on it !

see y'all later xx
