Chapter 7

You immediately stopped breathing, your eyes looked deeply in his and it felt like falling into the abyss. His smell filled your senses- he was sweaty and dirty, yet somewhat wanted him to be this close. On the other hand you had the urge to push him down. The second in command was so confusing, you never knew what he thought, if he hated you or not.

'I thought a lost boy never apologizes?' You smirked and tried to act cool. To be honest you didn't knew how to act- he sat so close in front of you, holding one arm against the tree to keep himself from falling. You felt nervous.

'No, you're right-'

He stopped talking and his eyes rushed down as footsteps, hardly audible, crashed against the ground.

'This way!' Someone yelled. 'I heard them over there!'

Felix's and your eyes widened and he jumped up, pulling you close as an arrow flew your way. All the insecurities you had just one moment before were gone and you held tightly onto Felix waist, not caring at all about the consequences. Despite all the effort, the boys gladly didn't find you, leaving you, hollering and full anger.

'I could have sworn I heard anything!' Justified the taller one before they head off, looking for somebody else. Loosening your grip in relief, your eyes wandered through the forest, avoiding to look at the second in command.

'This is insane.' You scoffed and wanted to climb down, possibly as far away from Felix as possible.

What would have happened if none of the boys had disturbed you?

Quickly you ignored the thought of Felix kissing you. He wouldn't- or would he? No of course not, it was stupid to even think that, you were stupid. And you weren't sure whether to like it or not.

'Hey where are you going!' Felix suddenly hissed and jumped down the branches to follow you. When he reached you, his hands held you by the collar of your shirt.

'This-,' you hissed and looked furious between his hand and eyes around, '-is what I meant!'

Slapping his hand away you climbed a bit up to be at his height.

'Don't fucking grab me like that. Don't act like you aren't trying to hurt me all the time!'

For the first time this day, his eyes darkened in anger and he looked like hr were about to push you. His eyebrows were pressed together and he held himself from screaming, he whispered in a loud way instead. ' When this fucking mermaid tried to drown you, it was me who jumped in and saved you! Do you think any other boy would do that for you? Fuck it, they rather let you drown than get killed, too! You don't belong to Neverland!'

Your eyes began to water again, your throat felt like it was tied up. He fucking hurt you again.

'I wish you've had let me drown!' You choked out, your eyes already watering, then made your way down as fast as possible, faster than you've been ever before. Felix hurried to catch up, but he had big trouple squeezing himself through the narrow woods. The last branch was too high to jump easily down, of course, Felix helped you up and you needed him to get down. Trying your best to dry your tears you sat there and waited for him to come down, to face you after your terrible try to escape.

You fucking idiot., you yelled at yourself and ignored the lost boy which slowly approached you, at least tried to. The lost boy sat awkwardly behind you, not knowing what to say.

'Should I help you down?' He asked unsure, yet without any anger in his voice. Moving his hand towards you, He decided not to do touch you and stopped.

'I don't want your fucking help!' You scoffed and crossed your arms, not even looking at him. The boy sighted, a deep and desperate sight.

'Look, I don't want to hurt you.'

Felix jumped down the tree and landed with a deep grunt, then held his arms open to catch you. His eyes told you he would catch you. But what if he tricked you? How could you know? The tall boy waited almost an eternity, before you finally decided to trust in him and jumped down. Your body crashed against his, almost causing him to fall back, but his arms snapped around you, holding you for a moment. When he let go, you didn't move, didn't run away like you imagined doing. You didn't yell at him and you stopped asking things. Felix was way too fascinating. Deep inside the brutal skin hid someone lovable, you just had to fin it.

'I don't understand you.' You whispered statled and looked up to him in his blue eyes.

'What is there to understand?' He asked and raised a rainbow questioning. For the first time in a while you started to laugh a little, smiling at Felix. His look turned even more confused and questioning. 'Why are you laughing now?'

You tried to stop laughing like a maniac, but desperately failed. 'Fuck, I just thought about that you have seen me naked!'
Hiding your face in embarrassment while laughing, the lost boy also burst out laughing. He also hid his face in shame when you looked up.

'I didn't know you where there. I promise!' He chuckled in a lovely tune. The way he smiled and just enjoyed the moment warmed your heart. He showed his human side to you, that he wasn't only a monster.

'I believe you!' You gave back and grinned, finally not laughing anymore.

'You're hardly to understand, too, Y/N.' Felix spoke, his voice nice and soothing- letting the mask slip a little.

But there was a mask, that's for sure!

The way how he said your name made you feel hot. He never called you by your name. He used to say lass or lassie, sometimes girly.

'Is that the reason why you avoided me?'

The good mood disappeared as quickly as it came. He was right, it was a reason to hide, yet he had said so many awful things to you, words that could cut like a blade. In his opinion you didn't belong to Neverland. Why was he acting so... normal, so suddenly? It was just a matter of seconds and he would turn furious again. Your smile dropped and you ignored the question for a full minute before replying, 'Maybe I wasn't avoiding you, rather the place in which I don't belong to?' You said sarcastically and with a sharp voice before you walked past him, into the direction where the other boys came from, so meeting them was nothing to worry about. After a while you turned around to see that Felix wasn't there, he didn't follow.

He actually listened for one time., you thought wrecked.

Although it was way too dark to tell. But he didn't. He didn't follow you and he didn't hide. Something about it made you feel sad about it, maybe even a little disappointed. In the end you just told him the truth, he was absolutely right, Neverland was no place for girls. Deep inside you wanted to go home- if you only would remember home,- the day you washed up on Neverland's shores was blurry like the life you had before. Somewhat a memory, but never clearly there. Whenever you tried to remember, nothing else but tons of water came to your mind. Waves dragging you down, in a steady motion, sucking the life out of you. It had been a rough fight to get onto the beach, once you gad reached the surface. Gladly someone had found your unconscious body and brought it to Pan. Someone who wanted you to life, to be safe.

Thomas.

You weren't sure about that, Thomas being your saviour, but you just knew it, in your way of course. Thomas was the only boy being all nice and friendly, he could be the only one that had saved you. The cheeks of yours turned deeo scarlet as you thought of his face, a big smile appeared on yours. You imagined yourself how he would find you, so you could hide until the sun rised. Being all alone with him, being away from all the boys and with someone who cared made your heart flutter.

Felix is wrong. The boys wouldn't let me drown., you thought and kicked angry against a stone on your way to find a new hiding spot. After a while of walking and plenty times crushing into a tree, an hollow treestump just welcomed you. Deciding to stay the night there you squeezed yourself inside just to find out it was the perfect spot. A myracle that you have found it. Your mind drifted off again, you stopped shrinking at every sound near you and relaxed. Closing your eyes to rest a little ended up in being asleep until the next morning.

Opening your eyes to face the less light that found it's way to you, you yawned and stretched yourself, reliefed from being unharmed during this sick game. You made your way back to camp, still a little dense from the sleep. With each step closer, the screams and whining from a few boys turned up. The sight at them was even more horrific. Most of them got arrows in their shoulder, the unlucky ones got them stuck in their feet.

'I got four boys!' Jack screamed in joy as he held his bow up in the air like it were a trophy. Eight boys had arrows in them, two of them got shot by Michael, which sat grumpy on a log, trying to ignore Jack, but his envy face told you everything. After a while more boys, unharmed, came back to the camp. Most of them looked tired, as if they either got too much sleep, or none at all.

Thomas entered the camp with the others and when he saw you, his exhausted face lightened up and he fastened his pace while walking over to you.

'I was worried about ye!' The shape of his mouth almost looked like an 'o' and his brown eyes hovered over you, scanning for any injuries. 'Have ye seen Felix?' He suddenly asked and looked around, looking for him while wildly turning around.

'Mate!' He called out but this time you wouldn't let him go easily. Grabbing him by his arm you took a big risk and hugged him,  burrying your face in his shoulder. The lost boy didn't try to push you away, instead crossed his arms around you.

'I was scared.' You whispered and tightened your grip as if you were still cowed down.

What am I doing?

There was no reason to lie at yourself, you did want to embrace him. But as you did so, it didn't felt as comforting as you thought. Thomas gave you a soft smile and brushed his hand over your back, trying to comfort you. 'I tried to find ye. Dearie I thought they would hurt you.'

After hearing his words your head snapped up to him, giving him a serious look, 'Would you have tried to protect me?'

He nodded and shoved a streak of hair out of your face. 'Whenever I am off duty.' He whispered and started to laugh with dimples. When Thomas left, Pan quickly replaced him just like he appeared out of nowhere. A devilish smirk was stuck on his face.

'Good to see you're unharmed.' His eyes glowed and for a second it seemed like they were all evil.

Aasshole. As if he cared. His head spun around as he looked for someone. 'Where in the hell is  Felix?'

Peter gave you a serious glare. 'Tell him that I am awaiting him if you meet him!' He growled and walked annoyed away. This was weird. Why wasn't Felix back yet? None of the boys seemed to know, already chattering of the missing boy. Some of them seemed quite happy about it. Your eyes wandered through the wide woods, scanning every movement.

Nothing, Felix wasn't here.
