12- Revealed
"What?" The team asks in confusion.
Sky lays out the map that he showed me when we first meet. "See, we are here." I point to a desert forest biome that's almost directly in the center of the map. "There are two more team members that we need," I explain pointing to their two symbols. "Sky and I thought it would be easier to divide the team in two and track these guys down then meet up." I look up and around at the teams faces, confusion and worry is the what they are consisted of. "So, we aren't actually splitting?" I shake my head. "No. But we are running out of time, that's why we are doing this we have to start understanding the prophecy and training." Slowly the teams nods and starts to understand our plan. "So, who goes with who?" Jerome asked. I looked at Sky and he nodded. "We were thinking that I would go up to the mountains with Quentin and Jerome, then Mitch would go with Sky." I saw glances being exchanged between Mitch and Jerome, then they nodded. "Okay." They said in unison. Sky and I smiled. "Great." I said. "We leave tomorrow morning. Get a good nights sleep."
The rest of the day was spent sparing. I quickly learned how good Mitch was with a bow and how good Jerome was with an axe. I strictly told them both to only use a sword as a back up. Sky trained me in magic and Quentin taught us all about herbs and medicine in case we get in dire situations. Slowly I could see a real team forming from a groups of kids that weren't any older than 8. It was impressive and sickening how Notch sent kids that could die to do his dirty work. None of us knew what we were up against but I knew it would take a miracle to get us all out of the fight alive. As nightfall quickly approached we all took shelter in our tents. All night I tossed and turned thinking of the prophecy and trying to connect puzzle pieces, none of it made sense so I silently prayed to Notch that he would give me the middle pieces that I was missing. Eventually I drifted off to sleep having nightmares of the near future.
In the morning everyone got up before the dawn like Sky had taught us and we cleaned up camp. We had our packs on our backs which consisted of our bed, water jug, small portions of food and extra food. Sky and Mitch stood on one side facing the desert biome while Quentin, Jerome and me stood facing the mountains. For the last time I looked back and locked eyes with Sky. I swear he was reading my mind because he nodded and we both knew what it meant. He wanted me to share my powers with my team. I gulped, nodding back slowly. "Take care, everyone. We will meet back at the Eastern City in a week. Ty, I trust you to get everyone back to your moms house by then. We will need a place to stay and her house just happens the be in the center of our home city. I think that is where everything will take place. Now, if anything happens, get to Eastern City and send out an emergency flair directed to me or Ty. Ty, you're in charge then Jerome I trust you will help as second in command. May Notch be with you. Safe journeys, friends." We all nodded and me and Jerome exchanged looks and I saw Jerome look back at Mitch for the last time for a week. I knew this would be hard for him. "Alright guys," I began. "let's get going." And with that we ventured off into the forest as Sky and Mitch left in the opposite direction.
Jerome had taken the lead chopping the branches with his axe to make a somewhat clear path for us. "Jerome, do you remember anything about the time that you and Mitch were lost in here?" Jerome took a break, looking around. "A little bit is coming back to me." "Continue," I said. "We were fighting a lot of mobs, but these mobs weren't normal they were like stronger or something. I remember Mitch and I climbed up into a tree as he started snipping the mobs, then something from behind us, it pulled us back into a portal or something and all I saw was black and- that's all I remember." Jerome finished chopping at a stubborn tree branch. I hummed thinking about their situation. It very well could've been the sorcerer helping them then wiping their memories for a while and returning them. "Jerome, could you climb a tree and tell me how far in we are?" I called out. Jerome nodded jumping on the nearest tree. Quentin was picking at some tree roots a couple of block ahead of me probably for a new medicine or something. In a matter of seconds Jerome returned, "I'd say we are almost halfway through the forest then we have to make our way around a lake or something to get to the mountain itself. I nodded. "Okay, let's advance some more it's only lunch time we don't need to waste time." Everyone nodded as we ventured deeper and shortly we found a clearing to settle down in. Questing was complaining about needing water so we stopped and made our tents for the night. Jerome was tired from wielding his axe all day so we stopped. I found Quentin a small pond he could swim around in to renew his strength and Jerome I found back at the camp making a fire. I was worried about the moon cycle tonight because I was completely oblivious to what it was tonight and if it was a half moon I was done for. I had little to no strength to fight off Enderlox. Later in the night I realized it was a crescent moon and I thanked Notch again. We sat around the bonfire warming ourself as the chilly night breeze blew around us. "Guys," I spoke up getting everyone's attention. "I have to share something with you all." Everyone nodded as if telling me to continue. Instead of trying to talk it out to them I used my magic like Sky taught me instead. Conjuring a strong gust of wind I blew the fire out then lit my hand up with a green fire ball and shot it at the sticks Jerome gathered. The fire struck it and enlighten making a new green fire that was stronger than the last one. Just from those two easy spells I felt drained, I had not practiced enough. "Woah, you have magic like Sky?" I nodded. "Yes, I do, Sky and I are unsure of what all I can do but I have a the skill of a level two basic sorcerer." Quentin smiled slightly at me watching the fire. "But isn't green the color of evil?" He asked quietly. I sighed. "Quentin, I can assure you that I would never turn against you guys and I would never use my magic to hurt you, it's just green because that is the color of my veins and magic mixed together since Im made up of magic more than human cells." Quentin slowly nodded as if he was still unsure. I sighed slightly. "It's okay Quentin, Ty would never hurt us, I trust him." Jerome spoke up I smiled, mouthing him a thank you. Quentin seemed to trust Jerome and nodded. "Okay! Then I trust Ty too!" Quentin smiled. "Alright guys let's head to bed we need all of our energy for tomorrow." Everyone walked to their tents and I dimmed the fire. In the back of my mind I wasn't worried about Enderlox or anything I was just focused on my friends and I even ignore Notchs warning 'You're getting too involved' and Herobrine haunting my dreams. I felt like a child, well as much as I could at this point in time.
