the recital ended and everyone was happy, especially the kids. jimin made sure they all united with their parents or guardians. he had given them all #1 ribbons, pinning them to their costumes and a small bag of candy.

the parents had thanked and congratulated jimin for his hard work before leaving the building.

the boys had all told they'd wait outside in the parking lot after helping him clean up. jimin had to wrap up a few things on his computer before leaving.

just as jimin was shutting down his computer and grabbing his things, the door opened.

jimin looked up as yoongi strides over to him, hands behind his back.

jimin smiles, "hey, hyung. thanks for coming tonight. it meant a lot to the kids."

"i'm glad. they did really good. you're an amazing teacher." yoongi responds, gummy smile shining bright.

"oh hush, hyung. you're just saying that. but i really am proud of them. i gave them a day off."

"they deserve it. listen, i want to uh... talk."

jimin's eyebrows furrowed with confusion. "about what? is everything okay?"

"yeah, no, things are fine," yoongi laughs nervously and shuffled his feet a bit. "i'm just a little nervous."

"don't be hyung. it's just me." jimin smiles gently. he, too, genuinely was nervous. what did yoongi have to tell him?

"that's the thing, actually. it's just you. you... who is amazing, kind, sweet, all the above,"

"yoongi-"

"please, let me finish. i've had terrible relationships in the past, and i'm not going to lie. they broke me. especially, um, h-hyungsik. i was dumb to fall in love with him, and i regret it. i regret it because that whole time i... i could've been loving you."

yoongi reveals the bouquet from behind his back to present it to a stunned jimin. the younger carefully grabbed it and subtly smelled them, loving the floral scent of them.

"park jimin, i've been in love with you for the past 3 or 4 years. and if you want, i'd like to show you that i'm worth it, that i'm enough. it would make me the happiest man alive."

jimin had tears in his eyes at the confession. his heart hurts, so full; full of yoongi. it's overflowing with all the love he's had for the older over the years, and it's growing. his love for yoongi is growing and he hopes it never stops.

he'll make sure.

jimin jumps into yoongi's arms, wrapping his arms around the elder's neck. yoongi's hands find their way to his slim waist, holding him tightly.

"god, yoongi. i would've been fine with just a simple 'i like you.' i- i don't know what to say."

"say yes."

jimin pulls back and looks him in the eye. they were both smiling as wide as they could.

"yes."

jimin surges forward, pressing his lips to yoongi's. the older pulls him closer, kissing jimin with vigor. they've been waiting for this for so long, wanting to relish in the feelings of their very first kiss.

jimin was too drunk of the feeling, wanting to feel yoongi all over. wanting his senses to be full of yoongi. his tongue swipes over yoongi's bottom lip daringly, as his fingers play with the hairs on yoongi's nape, tugging gently.

yoongi pulled away, resting his forehead against jimin's. their breathing was labored and jimin licked his lips at the feeling of the older's breath on his lips.

"jiminie."

"s-sorry. too fast? we can go slow, i'm sorry."

"it's fine, just wasn't expecting that. but if you don't mind, i'd like to take things slow."

jimin smiles and pecks his lips. "of course, hyung. we have time."

they both chuckle and end up kissing again, this time much slower, really feeling and tasting each other.

"this is what's taking y'all so long?! c'mon i'm hungry!"

jimin squeaked and pulled away from yoongi. the elder didn't let him go very far though, keeping his hands on jimin's waist to hold him there.

he glared at their friends, all with smiles of satisfaction on their face. except taehyung who looked ready to keel over and die.

"hyung, you didn't tell me they were waiting! i feel bad now!" jimin pouts and looks apologetic at the boys.

"i figured they get the hint and leave. apparently not." yoongi glares pointedly at namjoon, the taller only smirking in response.

"can we go guys? tae is very close to eating my jacket for dinner." jungkook complains, holding his boyfriend back with a hand to the older's forehead. tae's mouth wide open and trying to bite said jacket.

"yeah, let's go. i'm hungry, too. i forgot to eat lunch." jimin grabs his coat and yoongi grabs the flowers to hold for him. yoongi slips his hand into jimin's free one as they follow the other boys out the building.
