Did you ever keep in touch with your family even though you were touring around the world?

Well, during my Beatle days, I really did try best I could to write to my family to tell them how I'm doing and what's going on and I couldn't call them since calling internationally costed a lot of money in the 1960s. In the 1970s when I toured, I tried the best I could to check on my father a lot since my mum died on Ringo's 30th birthday, and he would be happy hearing from me since he would be lonely without Mum.
