My Morning Routine
Hello everyone! George here, and last night, this magazine has hit 1,000 reads!
Here's a picture of me dancing.
Anyways, as promised, I will give you guys a play-by-play of my morning routine! So enjoy!
I wake up every morning at around 6:00. I use to wake up at 8:00, but ever since I've became a father and woke up in the middle of the night to take care of my son, my biological clock has been set to wake up at 6:00. But it's worth it since I love being a dad and I'm pretty sure some of you guys would say the same thing when you become parents yourself.
After I wake up, I immediately go to the bathroom because that's what all humans do when they wake up, right?
So after I get done going to the bathroom and washing my hands, I go get the kettle and boil some water at a low heat.
You're probably thinking, "George, why are you boiling water at a low heat?"
Well, I'll tell you, while the water's on the stove, the low heat will give me time to
Go outside, water the plants in my garden and meditate!
I absolutely love gardening and meditation, it helps me collect my thoughts, and it helps me get me at peace for the day.
Once I'm done meditating, the water is at a boil and I bring it safely to a teapot and put a bag of an English breakfast tea in there to let it sit for a few minutes to let the water soak it all in.
While the tea is brewing, it's time to wake up my little family.
1st, I go to my and Olivia's room and I play her a quiet, peaceful song to help her get up. If you guys ever get married one day, I recommend doing this with your spouse. It gives them a good start to their morning.
Then I go to Dhani's room and do the same thing.
So after my wife and son get up, it's time for one of favorite times of the day; breakfast! Sometimes I do the cooking, and sometimes Olivia does the cooking
This morning in particular, I cooked breakfast.
Before anyone asks, yes my hair looks very curly and wavy in the morning!
Today for breakfast, we had huevos rancheros. If you don't know, it's a traditional Mexican breakfast and Olivia taught me to make it since her and her family made that a lot when she was growing up.
Here's a picture of me eating breakfast. Oh yeah, while we have breakfast, we have our tea.
Once we're all done with breakfast, it's time to get ready for the day!
1st, I take off my shirt and put on deodorant
For those of you that want to see me without my shirt on, there you go. You're welcome.
Anyway, the next thing I do is get dressed.
Once that's done, I take a flat iron, and straighten my hair with it. I'm thankful for those things because back in the 60s, we had to literally use an iron you use on the clothes to straighten hair, and it was horrible. I have plenty of stories to tell you guys about it, but that's another chapter on itself for another day.
Anyway, back to my routine!
Once my hair is nice and straight and brushed, I brush my teeth
Don't ask me why Paul's in the picture too, it's the only picture I can find of me brushing my teeth!
So once my teeth's brushed, I contemplate if I want to shave or not
This particular day, I just shaved my beard, and just left my mustache in tact.
And once I'm done with that, I put on aftershave, it either makes me feel refreshed, or it makes me feel like I want to rip off my face. It's no in between.
By the time I'm done, Livvy and Dhani are done getting ready.
We then go out and face the world!
So that is my morning routine! I hope you liked it! If this magazine gets 2,000 reads, I'll do my night routine!
See yuh guys soon. Hare Krishna!
