Lizzy

Going to meet with your mates family for the first time sure did made you nervous. I mean come on. I had never once in my life thought that i would land myself a werewolf mate. Nor did i ever thought that werewolves might be real.

I was wearing a simple jeans and t-shirt because i didnt want to appear too overdressed for the first meeting. I wished that i could tell mom exactly where i was going which i unfortunately couldnt.

I didnt want to risk having cyrus and his pack under attack by my dad. I have read about stories where hunters kill every wolf and supernatural creatures they saw. I mean if cyrus ever introduced me to his pack i didnt want them to be mad at me.

I knew most supernatural creatures were really possessive of their packs. Especially werewolves. I glanced at the clock and felt my heart give a nervous beat.

Calm down lizzy, calm down, i thought to myself.

The ringing of the doorbell made me jump. Walking over to the window i saw that it was indeed cyrus. I felt my lips curl up in a smile all on its own. Now i sort of understood why mates never left each other's side in the books i read. I always envied them but i now i was living in their own world. Well sorta.

I felt like racing downstairs but i prepped-talked myself to take it easy. If mom ever got the hint that i had a thing for cyrus, it wouldnt be good for either of us. I had told her that cyrus and i were going over to the library to study for a project. I just hoped we dont get caught.

I stopped when i saw cyrus standing in the foyer. He was looking so handsome like a knight in shining armour. Minus the shining armour of course. His hair was jelled back but i think i liked them when they were wild. He was wearing a black t-shirt with blue jeans. And looked absolutely delicious. I licked my lips unconsciously and sucked in a breath.

Cyrus turned around to look at me and his eyes widened just a bit. He racked his eyes up and down my body in one swift motion making me tremble.

"Uh hey cyrus,"i said after clearing my throat.
"Hey," he smirked at me.
"So where are you two exactly going?" Mom asked, staring at me.
"Mom cyrus and i are going to the library. We have a project together," i lied straight through my teeth.
"Ok you know that dad wont be pleased about it," mom warned me.
"Mrs. Sanderz i assure you that i will protect Lizzy at all costs," cyrus said.

His deep voice send a shiver through me but that of a pleasurable one. And i knew that he meant what he said. Mom nodded at his words which made me breath out a sigh of relief. Finally the two of us got out of the house and into cyrus's car.

"Phew! I thought mom would never let me come with you," i said.
"I would have taken you with me anyway," cyrus took my hand in his.

I felt a blush rise up in my cheeks at the gesture. His hand was so big and warm that mine felt like a kid's hand.

"Does anybody know that you have a humsn mate?" I questioned, biting my lip.
"Aside from my friends, not yet. I was thinking that i should finally introduce you to the pack as my mate and gamma female," cyrus.
"I dont think thats a good idea," i said.
"Why not?" He asked
"I mean i am a human. Your pack might hate me," i said
"No they wont. You are my mate and they'll have to deal with it," cyrus said with a growl.

I leaned towards him on the seat and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Whats your family like?" I asked
"Completely nuts," cyrus chuckled humorlessly.
"My dad's a human and he hates us," cyus said dryly.
"I am sure thats not the truth. Why would your dad hate you?" I asked
"I dont want to talk about it," he said.

I knew it was the topic for another time and so i didnt ask about it. The rest of the car ride was silent but as we got nearer i got nervous again. I started fiddling my fingers together.

"Are you nervous?" Cyrus asked
"Uh yeah," i said, making him chuckle.
"Dont be. I know my mom is going to love you," he said, squeezing my hand a bit.

We were now deep in the forest and driving through a dirt road. I thought i saw some wolves but just shrugged the feeling off. Once we reached cyrus's house the two of us got out. I followed behind cyrus as we walked up to the front door. We only had to wait for a few minutes when the door was opened by cyrus's a girl.
"Cyrus!" She exclaimed.

I quirked an eyebrow as cyrus hugged the girl who looked no older than 12 or 13 years.
"Who's this?" She asked, looking at me.

I offered her a faint smile.

"This is Elizabeth. My mate," cyrus said.

I felt my heart fluttered as cyrus said my full name. It made me realize that cyrus hadnt called me by my first name yet. The girl squealed and hugged the life out of me.

"I am Catlin. Cyrus's younger sister. Come in," catlin said.

We walked inside and i saw that it was a simple and modest home. I actually liked the paint and color scheme.

"Wait here i will call mom ad collin," catlin said.

Cyrus and i sat down on the couch and only had to wait for a few minutes before his family came downstairs.

"Cyrus its so good to see you."

I stood up as his mom came in.

"Mom i have been busy," cyrus said.
"And who might this lovely lady be?" His mom looked at me.

I felt a blush rise up to my cheeks at the compliment.

"Mom, catlin and collin, this is Elizabeth Sanders, my mate," cyrus said.

"But she's human," collin ssid, breaking the awkward silence.
"I thought you would make a better choice cyrus," his mom glared at me.

I flinched back in surprise at her hostility.

"No mom. Lizzy isnt like that. Even if she's human she isnt like that," cyrus said
"If you already accepted her then welcome to the family," mrs hogkin smiled.

I gave a sigh of relief at that. But was surprised when she pulled me in for a hug. The dinner passed by quite comfortably and then cyrus drove me home. I was so tired that i fell asleep in the car.

Yes. I know that i didnt mention anything about lizzy meeting cyrus's family but i wanted to make lizzy meet cyrus family.

So quite a long chapter! And one of my first books to exceeds 25 chapters! Any feedback would be appreciated!:)
