1. Aarushi Sharma

An intelligent young girl, initially introverted, she has high ambitions for herself. Unlike most female protagonist she isn't blessed with a good temper. She desires for youthful joy and love which she had never been able to taste owing to the terrible incidents that happened in her past. She is a medico at National University of Medical Sciences (P.S. Names of university are fictional) and dreams of joining administrative services of country after graduation.

2. Ajay Sanghvi

An engineering student at National Technology Institute who cherishes a dream of becoming scientist; behind his façade of high headed, self obsessed and nonchalant individual he hides a self which fears heartbreak. He is combination of stunning looks and cheerful and slightly cheeky behavior which makes him the heart throb of school. He shared a bickering relationship with Aarushi during their school days.

Other Characters:

1. Anjali Chaturvedi:

Friend of Aarushi, they met during medical exam preparation days and gradually developed close friendship. She had never met Ajay in person, but knew about him through Aarushi.

2. Harshita Singhania:

Aarushi's friend, she too met her and Anjali during medical exam preparation and shares a close bond with both of them. She is amiable and bubbly and supports her friend in her love quest.

3. Juhi Mehta:

She is Aarushi's childhood bestfriend who is one year younger than her though their age difference does not define their deep bond. She loves Aarushi like a sister and cares for her like a mother. She isn't very enthusiastic about Ajay as her bestie's love interest. She had a hateful past with Ajay and reckons that he will hurt innocent Aarushi. She is a lawyer who has hidden talent and passion for graphic designing and art.

4. Viraj Mishra;

Ajay's best friend since school, he inhabits a strong interest in designing automobiles. He is familiar with their story and gives a push to their relationship.

5. Sarthak Gupta:

Heartthrob of National Institute of Medical Sciences and batchmate of Aarushi, he hails from a scholar family with both parents as specialized doctors. He has got looks with brains which makes him an ideal crush!

6. Garvit Agarwal

Ajay's friend at college, he is blessed with stunning intelligence and looks with a timid nature. He seems to have an inclination of his friend's tragic love story. He wants to become top computer science engineer and use his knowledge for betterment of society. He falls in love with Suhani Mukherjee from Medical college.

7. Hardik Yadav

Friend of Ajay, he has special love for sports and music with bulky musculature. He shares a brotherly bond with Viraj, Ajay and Garvit.

8. Pramila Sharma and Raghvendra Sharma:

Aarushi's parents. They love both their children and always attempt to provide the best for them. Mrs. Pramila is a government officer who had dreamt of becoming a doctor but failed to do so, she sees her younger self in her daughter and maintains a image of strict yet doting mother. Mr. Raghvendra had a rough life yet he puts on a smile for his children every day for his family. Their family had seen the worst conditions which had still left scars on their present.

9. Aaditya Sharma:

Aarushi's younger brother who is three years younger than her. Owing to his working parents he grew up under his sister's love and care. He loves his sister but more than that he loves to annoy her. He used to see Ajay as an elder brother but after learning about her sister's admiration he developed an envious repulsion towards him.

10. Ruchita and Jaiveer Sanghvi

Ajay's parents. They are loving and supportive. They had always seen Aarushi as an ideal child and appreciate her talents. Ajay had been slightly envious of Aarushi in their younger days as his parents used to tie up praises in her favor.

11. Aaryan Sanghvi:

Ajay's elder brother. He is a mature and stable man working overseas at an affluent company. Ajay idolizes his brother and desires to follow in his footsteps. He loves his younger brother giving him advice and support as needed.
