(Y/n)'s Perspective

I was very happy to be back with Splendor, but I felt... contained. I sighed, Kai had fallen asleep, since he had promised to sleep with me, like the old times when I had nightmares. I knew Splendor was asleep because he was exhausted from probably crying because of me.

I felt bad, but I also wanted some freedom. I got that nice sting of rebellion at the idea of sneaking out, like I usually do. I go into my closet and change into some jeggings and a tight long sleeve cropped top.

There was a tree pretty close to the window, so that could be my easiest way out. Well... beside the door but that's loud and boring. I open the window quietly and grab onto the branch and hoist myself up and over. I balance myself out then make my way down.

As soon as I touched the ground I started walking, sketchbook and pencil in hand. I loved the way things looked at night, the stars were beautiful at night and only so much light peeped in through all the leaves of the trees.

Arriving at a lake, I take a seat on the grass and stare out at the beauty of it. I felt calm again and relaxed. Sitting out in the night made me feel as if I was free.

The sound of the gentle breeze, the crunching of leaves, and the howl of wolves in the night— wait crunching leaves?

I turn and see Slender and Offender walking over, hoping they hadn't spotted me yet, I went to hide. I managed to get behind a rock before focusing on what they were talking about.

"Why are you the one who always breaks something?!" Slender complained, huffing angrily at his brother. I couldn't see them, but the way he said that made it sound like a common thing.

"Eh. I get bored." Offender chuckled. I kind of wanted to laugh too, but I was a little scared that if they found me they'll kill me.

"You are such a pain..." Slender growled. I peeked over the rock, just in time to see Offender shrug. Just as he was about to probably say something snarky, he seemed to have spotted me and smirked.

"It seems we're being watched Slendy~" Offender had a strange purr in his voice which made me shiver in fear.

"Don't call me that! And what do you mean—" He turned and for a moment spotted me too, but I was already trying to make my escape. I could hear them following. I was in panic. As soon as I couldn't hear anymore footsteps I jumped up and into a tree and quickly climbed to the top.

So if they were actually trying to find me, then hopefully they wouldn't. They're not tall enough to reach me, so I should be safe.

I stared up at the now clear sky and I tried to calm down. But my body tensed when something grabbed me. I gave a squeak as I was removed from the tree.

"What are you doing outside (Y/n)?" I was more distracted by what was holding me.

It was a giant black tentacle thing. I squirmed to get out of his grasp, trying to push it off, but it only got tighter and that hurt so I stopped and it loosened a bit.

"W-what was the question...?" I asked, I had been too caught off guard to focus. Slender sighed and shook his head, Offender kind of just laughed.

"What are you doing outside?" Slender repeated, excluding my name this time.

"Enjoying the outside...?" I didn't mean for that to sound like a question, but he sounded mad and I didn't like it when people were mad at me. Slender just sighed again.

"Splendor won't be happy knowing your out here alone. Does he even know you're out here?" I shook my head. "Of course. You're being rebellious like most teens, when you should be getting rest."

He set me down on a branch and I looked at him confused. "Why?"

"Because you're injured." He stated, examining me, they both were. It made me feel uncomfortable. I crossed my arms defensively.

"So? Why would you care?" I raised a brow at him. What happened to wanting to kill me?

"I don't care. But Splendor does." He said back defensively.

"Well if you didn't care you wouldn't have brought it up." Slender was getting a little pissed off so Offender decided to intervene.

"Why are you out here without Splendor, hun?" (Y/n) blinked and looked between Slender and Offender.

"I don't like being trapped indoors." I reply truthfully, Slender sent a bit of a glare at Offender. Probably since he more easily tamed me than he could.

"But you're injured." Slender rebutted.

"I've been injured a lot. A little pain I can deal with." I huff, avoiding looking at him as I pout.

"Why were you watching us~?" Offender asked, with a smirk growing on his face, like I was doing something naughty. "See something you like~?" He flirted.

"W-what?! No!" I probably seemed guilty because of the sudden warmth rising to my cheeks, taken aback by his dirty suggestion.

"Then why were you watching us?" He asked, resting his head on the part of the branch beside me, making me feel uncomfortable. I scooted over a little.

"To avoid you." I grumbled back.

"Why would you avoid us?" Slender asked, honestly sounding confused.

"Splendor said you wanted to kill me! Why wouldn't I avoid you?!" I snap back at him. Slender growled, displeased.

"I thought we were over that." He face palmed. I then squeak and stifle a giggle when I feel Offender touch my stomach.

"You're a lot thinner than I thought you were." He said, not verbally mentioning that my ribs were showing. I cover my stomach, insecurely.

"Y-you don't need to point it out..." I huffed.

"You haven't eaten in a while have you?" Slender asked. You wanted to get away from the subject of your hunger.

"For not caring you really do sound like you care." Slender grumbled then sighed.

"I'll get you back to Splendor's." He, surprisingly, puts me back down.

This is going to be awkward...
