Taehyung had a small carving tool and was using the photos surrounding him as reference to try and get every detail of Jin's features outlined perfectly after he'd thrown together the rest of the body. His impatience was getting the best of him, and knowing he'd never be professional at this, he knew this was as good as it'll ever get.
He spent the next few days sculpting the rest of the members, without worrying about perfection. What is perfect, anyway? I've always loved my members despite their flaws. They don't have to be perfect. Just perfect to me.
So things were a little lopsided and out of place, but Taehyung didn't care anymore. He just needed some kind of damn vessel built for him to place the souls in.
After they were constructed, Taehyung wasn't satisfied. They weren't real enough. Just blank canvases that needed-
Colors.
Paint.
I have to paint them.
He realized there would need to be a second step to his plan. Painting them to look like themselves. He immediately went back online and found where to order the best paint for clay, and found it to actually be from the same store he bought the clay from. Once again he ordered same day expedited shipping. He needed his materials immediately. As he awaited the arrival of the paints he'd ordered, he then focused on watching Youtube tutorials about painting and different painting techniques.
I may not have gotten the sculptures perfect, but maybe I can bring them to life more through the painting of them.
When the paints arrived, he immediately got to work practicing blending techniques, shading techniques, any kind of technique that would seem realistic and life-like. After hours of using plain paper to mess with the colors, another surge of impatience hit Taehyung.
Paint them now. They're waiting for you to free them, Taehyung. Free them from death.
He shot up off the kitchen chair and ran with his paints into the living room where his sculptures stood. Without a second thought he hastily went at them with the paints and brushes in his hand. Painting skin tones, eye colors, hair, and whatever else he felt they needed.
When an alarm came on that it was time for his therapy appointment, he huffed with frustration and threw his paintbrush down. He didn't bother to clean up or change out of his paint splattered clothes. He knew he'd get right back to it once he got home anyway. He was driven to his appointment and just like last time he kept spewing the same happy bullshit as before. He claimed he was coping well.
"That is interesting, because I have actually noticed you were due for your medication refill two days ago and you haven't sent in for it," the therapist replied.
"Oh, I...I missed two. I'm sorry. I actually am running out of medication today. If it's alright, can I have the prescription refilled now? I'm sorry. I feel okay and everything, I've just been so busy it sort of slipped my mind and I forgot to take some of them."
Taehyung stared at his therapist, desperate that he didn't press the issue further.
"Of course. Be sure to set a reminder or something to take them every day if you find yourself forgetting," the therapist replied.
"Yes, absolutely."
"I see you've been into painting."
Taehyung's insides filled with panic. "How did you know-"
"Your clothes." The therapist giggled as he gestured to the paint splatters. The man started to ask about what kinds of things he liked to paint.
Taehyung lied and said landscapes.
The therapist took that information for what it was, and didn't ask more questions. He sent in Taehyung's refill and it came immediately. The therapist handed it to him. "I'm glad it's working. I will see you next time."
"Me too. Yes, I will see you then." Taehyung shot up from his seat and ran out the door, ready to hop back in the Uber and get home. He never talked to the Uber driver he had. It was a different person every time anyway.
When he entered back inside the dorm he was shocked to see how messy the place had actually gotten. Paint, clay, food wrappers, garbage, cups, and laundry were everywhere.
I'll have to clean up once again before the members get back home.
