there isn't much of a future for anyone. you need to find it and hard. sometime it's hard so you need to get your nails dirty. it's never easy, never. everything is hard when living is required. nothing comes free.
yoongi was walking on the thin sidewalk, listening to music with his earbuds which were really old. he was quietly humming to the tone of the music with a smile on his face. he had his hands in his pockets while he walked to the park. he always went to the park after classes to relax his stress.
there, yoongi sat down on a bench and just didn't think about any thing for a while before a couple of kids ran across him, they were playing tag or it. yoongi watched them play and thought about the past, how he was so carefree and didn't think of his future.
one of the kids had red shiny hair with peachy pink lips. he had shorts and his hair had some gel to look good. yoongi only giggled and got up from his seat and left the park.
yoongi was feeling a little hungry so he went to a grocery store to get a snack. there, he saw taehyung at the check out stand.
"hey, taetae!" yoongi yelled from across the store. he waved his hand so taehyung could see him and he sure did. taehyung smiled and waved back. he quickly paid for his stuff and went to yoongi. "long time no see, yoongs!" taehyung hugged yoongi tightly.
"yeah, you grew up so fast! last time i saw you, you were 13 years old! how old are you now?" yoongi asked.
"seventeen!"
kim namjoon: 30 years old
kim seokjin: 21 years old
min yoongi: 19 years old
/</3/
park jimin: 17 years old
kim taehyung: 17 years old
jeon jeongguk: 18 years old
"wow! time sure did go by so fast. just four years. hey, do you still know where jimin and jeongguk are?"
"they both got adopted together like a month after we lost touch but they still visit the foster home a lot so maybe you can find them there. their old now, they're fully grown~" taehyung cooed. yoongi smiled at the happy boy. yoongi hasn't seen his happy face in forever, maybe that was why he felt relieved that nothing bad happened to him.
"do you still live in the same house where we were living together?" yoongi asked. taehyung's cheeks popped out as he smiled widely, "yep!"
yoongi suggested that he went back after many years. taehyung allowed him and drove him to his place. he was still living with his mother since he couldn't afford a house yet.
once they reached the house, yoongi almost teared up. he hasn't seen the house in forever and it brought back so many memories.
yoongi entered the house and the first thing he saw was how clean the house was. the house was decorated differently and the smell was much different.
the walls had clean cafe color and the smell of the house was cookie like. yoongi walked around the house, looking for the mother. yoongi turned the corner and there she was. she was sitting on the couch, looking at the tv. she looked healthy and happy. no sign of sadness anywhere.
"hello, miss rhee," yoongi politely said. he waved at his former mother. she smiled widely and immediately got up from her seat and hugged the boy. "you've really grown up!"
yoongi giggled, "yeah, it's been a couple of years so..."
"hey, umm. do you still have h-hoseok's room?" yoongi asked quietly, careful to not make the mother sad again. the mother didn't frown but her smile did fade a little.
"of course i do," she rubbed yoongi's shoulder to show him that she's getting better. yoongi smiled sadly at her and nodded his head. "is it okay if i go in there?"
"sure."
yoongi was on the stairs as all the memories rushed through his mind. he felt light headed as he remembered his younger brother. yoongi reached the door.
yoongi slowly opened the door and all the mickey mouse posters were still there. the figures were still there. they all looked clean, not dirty. yoongi looked around as everything was left like it was before he left.
yoongi approached the window with his heart beating heavily. he didn't know why he was so nervous.
yoongi looked out the window and there was the tree. the same tree that hoseok showed yoongi on the first day. but the tree wasn't completely ugly. in fact, all the leaves were on the tree.
the tree looked healthy. no flaws on the tree at all and that was when yoongi could relax. it was a happy ending after all. nothing bad happened. everything went back to normal and everyone lived happily. nothing wrong happened.
yoongi left the room, said goodbye to taehyung and the mother, then left the house.
the tree wasn't ugly like he thought it would be.
yoongi walked to his own home. the walk wasn't really long but it was a good amount. by the time he got there, he was sweaty and breathing heavily. yoongi went in his home and got greeted by his mother and father but he didn't pay much attention to them, instead he went to his own room.
yoongi took off his jacket and sat on his bed once he took off his shoes. yoongi held a little figure in his hands. he traced his fingers over it to feel the little cracks. from the age of the toy, the paint was being scraped off. yoongi got off his bed and placed it on his bed that was near his window.
the mickey figure was perfect for him. yoongi always kept it with him, never intending to lose it. if he ever did, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself. nothing could replace the small toy even if it was a look alike, the meaning behind the look alike wouldn't be the same from the original.
yoongi smiled sadly as he looked at the figure. it was the only thing that the boy left behind for yoongi to have. other than the good times they had together.
the nineteen year old missed him so much. he missed watching him play around with his small toys. he missed his bright smile as they played together but there was nothing to worry about. yoongi didn't have to worry about him anymore. hoseok wasn't suffering anymore, he was free. he is flying around while watching the others from the sky. his white wings helped him stay high and not down on earth where all the bad things happened.
there's nothing to worry about. death doesn't hurt. death just ends the suffering that dying people go through. hobi's smiling along with his father and mother.
yoongi didn't keep track of time when the day was ending. yoongi felt a cool breeze of air going across his room. he smiled as he closed his eyes to embrace the air. none of the windows were opened neither did he have his door open. yoongi wasn't scared of the wind, in fact, he was relieved to feel the wind. because he hadn't felt the wind in two days. he worried that the spirit forgot about him. he worried if hoseok forgot about him.
