John's POV

I woke up that morning with Alex's head on my chest. He was still asleep. I could just see his face, he had a bruise forming under his eye. I gentally run my fingers through his heart and he scoots closer to me.

"Morning, John," Aspen whispers. "How'd you sleep?"

"I slept ok, I think Alex was a little uncomfortable, though." I respond.

"I bet," she says. "Having five broken ribs probably doesn't make you very comfortable."

"Yeah," I say. "Where's Peggy?"

"She went to get us breakfast," Aspen answers.

As she says that Peggy and the rest of the group come in.

Alex's POV

I woke up to the group coming into my hospital room. I had my head on John's chest. My head goes up and down as he breaths. It's comforting.

"Hey, guys," says Eliza. "Thought you said he was asleep."

Everyone looks at me and I give a shy smile, "well good mornin sleepy head!" John says.

"John, your southern is showing," I laugh.

"I'm about to make my gay show, too," he says and kisses my face a couple of times.

The group laughs.

"Hey, petite lion, there letting you go today so we brought you some clothes." Says Laf tossing a bag of clothes at me.

Herc and John help me out of my bed, "John, I can get him to the bathroom, it's ok." Says Herc.

Before I go into the bathroom Herc hands me something made of fabric.

"How did-" I say in a low confused voice.

"I found it in a drawer in your dorm," he says. "Figured you'd want it. You can tell everyone else whenever your ready, I know they will be accepting."

"Thanks, Herc," I say and go change into the clothes they brought for me.

Later

"Hey, guys?" I ask, "can we all go to John and I's dorm? I have some thing important to tell you."

"Of course, Alex," says Aspen and everyone nods.

Thomas and his sister brought their cars so they drove us back to Kings. We walk into my dorm and everyone sits on the floor.

"What did you need to tell us, Alex?" John asks grabbing my hand.

"Well, I..." Herc nods at me and I take a shaky breath. "Alexander wasn't the name I was born with."

"What do you mean, Alex?" Asks Angelica.

"I'm m-mean I'm t-transgender," I say. John grads my hand and brings my face so I'm looking at him.

"That's nothing to be ashamed of, Lex!" John says, "your a boy I know it, all of our friends know it and you know it. I will always, always love you."

He kisses my forehead.

"Alexander, none of us will ever see you differently, we promise." Aspen says smiling.

Everyone, even Thomas nods. Thomas and I don't always get along but he is a good friend. I couldn't ask for better friends or a better boyfriend.
