DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT WEDDING IDEAS ON THAT ONE CHAPTER + NO REREAD OR EDITED

"Twenty days until the wedding," Sophie said, grinning.

Keefe smiled. "We're already practically married, Soph."

She frowned. "We act like a married couple but we're not. My last name isn't Sencen and you never told me you loved me in vows," she pointed out, frowning.

"I know, I know. . . So, what are you doing today?" He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into a loose hug.

She smiled softly. "I'm not doing anything with you," she teased.

He pulled back and gasped exaggeratedly. "Why I never," he mocked.

She giggled. "I'm going to go pick up the dress from the store and bring it to my parent's house. Then I have to go meet Mr. Forkle for an early wedding present just for me. . . " She pulled away and started to rant on all the things she needed to get done.

"I can do something too, you know. It's my wedding too," he said, frowning.

She rolled her eyes. "I know, but it's mostly stuff the girls do."

"What's my job? To show up?" He joked.

She shrugged. "Yeah, pretty much."

He narrowed his eyes. "Come on, let me do something," he pleaded. "I can. . . Go pick up the dress with you!"

"You're not allowed to see it," she reminded.

"Oh yeah. . . I can. . . Go meet with Mr. Glaughin about the flowers!" His eyes lit up. "Yeah, I can do that."

"That wasn't part of my rant," Sophie said, chuckling slightly. "You can go meet with Bronte to talk about the vows and setup and stuff. Take the Imparter and call me if you're not one hundred percent sure on anything. Anything." She narrowed her eyes. "You can do that, right?"

"I'm not twelve," he defended.

"Just making sure. I've got to go, I'll see you." She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before walking out.

___

"It's beautiful," Edaline praised when Sophie showed her.

Sophie grinned. "I know! I can't believe it's mine and I'm actually wearing it."

"It's so surreal. Twenty days, right?"

Sophie nodded. "Almost three weeks," she said, smiling at the dress. "I'm getting married!"

Edaline laughed. "We've known this for a few months now, Soph."

"He can't call me Foster anymore," Sophie said, looking at her adoptive mother. "I won't be Sophie Foster anymore."

"Sophie, are you okay?" Edaline asked, frowning.

She nodded. "Yeah, it's just reality settling in, you know?"

Edaline nodded. "Yeah, I understand. It's normal. You'll get over it in a few minutes." She sighed and decided to change the topic. "Where are you going after this."

"To go meet with Mr. Forkle for an early birthday present," she answered, calmed down. "I think I can go now."

Edaline nodded. "I'll take extra good care of the dress. You won't even know it's just been in a closet this entire time. You'll think you just bought it," she promised, walking upstairs. "Bye, Sophie!"

Sophie nodded even though Edaline wouldn't see her. "Bye Mom!"

___

"Why are you giving me a- Where are we going?" Sophie's eyes filled with alarm.

"I may be taking you where some humans reside. . . A specific human family is holding a party and invited me to come and I'm taking my beautiful granddaughter who they've never met before to come with me." He winked.

She gasped. "No!"

He grinned and nodded. "Happy wedding!"

When they got the the party, where she had changed into a human dress, they were greeted by her human mother.

"Forkle, so glad to see you made it," her mother said with a large grin. She turned to Sophie with a grin. "You must be the granddaughter he was talking about. I'm Mrs. Freeman." They shook hands and Sophie grinned.

"Yeah, I'm Sophie."

"My daughter is inside. Maybe you should talk with her." Sophie nodded and walked over to the couch where she knew Amy would be.

Amy introduced herself with her new-life name, but Sophie still called her Amy in her memory. "I'm Sophie," she introduced herself.

Amy frowned. "Do I know you from somewhere?" She asked with curiosity.

Sophie shook her head, smiling. "No, I've never seen you before in my life. I'm just your next door neighbor's granddaughter."

Amy nodded and looked over. "See that guy over there?" She pointed and Sophie nodded. "He's my boyfriend, so no flirting with him and then we're good."

Sophie held back to urge to roll her eyes. "I'm actually engaged," Sophie said. "We're getting married in three weeks."

"What's his name?" Amy asked, grinning.

"His name is-" She looked down at her beeping Imparter. "Keefe," she growled under her breath. "I've got to go take a call. I promised him to go meet with someone about the setup but he probably messed something up.

She walked out and went into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. "What?" She hissed through a whisper.

"Where are you?" Keefe asked, frowning.

"I'm in Mr. Forkle's house," she lied. "The black swan one, not the human territory one. I'm in the middle of my wedding present, so make this quick."

He grinned. "Just calling to tell you I finished everything and I'm going back home now. Bye, Soph," he waved before turning his Imparter off. She sighed before exiting the bathroom and meeting back up with Amy.

"So, do you have any pictures?" Amy asked, excited. "I wanna see what your future guy looks like!"

If she had just met Amy she would be scared but because she grew up with her she knew that this was just her being excited. Even in a different life she didn't expect Amy to be any less nosy. "I actually don't," Sophie said, almost apologetic.

Mr. Forkle came over. "Don't worry, Sophie, I have a picture on my phone." He pulled out an iPhone that she didn't know he had, but that's not what she focused on.

"You took a picture of me and Keefe?" Sophie gasped.

He nodded and showed her the picture before showing Amy. It was just of Sophie and Keefe sitting on a couch together, his arm wrapped around her waist and her arms around his neck while they faced Mr. Forkle. Keefe was looking at her and she was looking at Mr. Forkle while telling him a story. "Ashla took it when you guys were talking to me after I showed her how to use the phone. She was really happy because she's been wanting to get a picture of you two forever."

Sophie scoffed. "You should delete that. You know I hate pictures," Sophie complained.

"Well, how are you going to take wedding pictures. . . Engagement pictures, you know?" Amy pointed out.

"They're not taking pictures for their wedding. Both of them have photographic memories and think that's enough," Mr. Forkle told Amy, using a scolding voice toward Sophie.

"Hey, if you want to sneak a picture or two behind my back that's your problem, just don't make me flat out take the picture," Sophie said, holding her arms up in defense.

"Well, I hope you two have a happy life together. My boyfriend is walking over here." She walked away towards him and Sophie turned to Mr. Forkle.

"When I wanted to see my human family so bad I forgot that I couldn't stay in a room with her for too long," Sophie said, frowning. "How's my human mom and dad?" She asked, walking towards the kitchen where snacks were laid out. She took stuff from the fruit and veggie trays, avoiding the meat out of respect for her Elvin diet.

"They're fine. We need to get back soon, though. You saw that Amy somewhat recognized you when you walked through the doors and she hasn't seen you in at least ten years. We should go."

She nodded at his words. "Going so soon?" Her mother questioned as they went to leave, sorrow in her voice.

"My fiance messed up on the wedding planning stuff and brought home the wrong flowers so now I have to go meet up with him and yell at him. He had one job," she lied, scolding him in her voice but apologizing him to her in her brain for targeting him in the cover story.

"Aww, when is the wedding?"

Sophie's eyes lit up. "Twenty days," she said. Mr. Forkle let out a small cough under his breath so only she would hear.

She looked to him, then back at her. "Thanks for having us here. Your home is lovely. Good bye," she quickly excused herself, but couldn't help it when she quickly leaned in and gave her a really tight hug.

When they were back at Sophie and Keefe's house, Sophie gave Mr. Forkle a bear hug. "Thank you so much," she said, smiling.

He nodded and pulled back. "If they have any other parties I'll bring you to those too. . . If you're busy, of course."

She nodded. "Bye, Forkle."

"Bye, Soph."
