Chapter 3
It had been 2 years. Charlie and Cassidy had tried everything that they could, but Afton was getting better. The other spirits were too tired to up their aggression past 20 times the original, and Afton was slowly making his way up to beating the entire cast of 50 mascots.
"What if we surprise him with 7 extra characters?" Charlie supposed. "I know the Death Coin was a stupid idea but we can't remove it now so we should just add some more in."
"I guess that's fine," Cassidy laughed. "He'll never see it coming!"

Afton finally decided to try all 50 for the first time. He sighed, shook his head, and chose the item '50/20'.
A stopwatch clock appeared beside the alarm clock that was telling him when the night would end. And it began counting up.
"So, this tracks my 50/20 record. Okay, let's do this."
He cracked his knuckles and began. About 30 seconds in, Minireenas began piling up and filling his field of view.
Afton said, "When were these an optio-"
Before he could finished his sentence, he was killed. Then he returned and began again. This time he encountered Nightmare Chica. Then Shadow Bonnie. They kept coming, but each time he'd learn more about them. Even so, he'd still die every time since they were made to distract him.
"HALT", yelled Charlie's voice.
Afton was in the middle of flinching as Springtrap leaped towards him, but the mascot froze in its place. Charlotte then appeared in front of him.
"Having fun?" she said coyly.
"The real torture is making me fend off myself. Two versions of myself! And my son! And my daughter!"
She laughed. "Glad to know you're enjoying yourself. You're never getting out of here, William. We will make sure of it."
A knowing smile graced his face as his eyes darkened. "Bring it on."
She was taken aback, but disappeared and resumed the torture, causing Afton to get killed by Springtrap.
When he reconstituted however, he had an odd calmness to him. When the simulation began, there was no fear or faltering. He fended off everything easily.
Charlie and Cassidy began panicking. "Send everything! Send it all! It's only an hour until he gets out!" But it didn't matter. He completed the challenge. Down the the last minute.
The office and the world around it began to crumble into a black void, leaving only William Afton and the broken husk of his original Fredbear design.
It had a spotlight over it, but it was all alone. Twitching about like it used to. A demented piano began to play.
As William approached the mascot, Cassidy's spirit faded into focus beside it, sitting cross-legged.
"Cassidy?" Afton said.
"You figured it out," she said in a defeated tone, "You beat me."
"Where is everyone?"
"Everyone's in the good place. They all were good people. I stayed got sent down here and the leader let me decide your torture. Everyone you saw? Daughter? Son? Honorary niece? They were never here. I made them."
"How could you?"
Cassidy stood. "I had to perpetuate the lie."
She began to walk towards Afton as she aged up to her true age. "I was supposed to live a good long life and you took that away from me. For your own selfish gain. Now, I can't leave." She pointed at a door behind both of them.
"You're tied to my mascot."
"Yep. Well, take your sorry behind and get out of here, leave me to rot."
"I could take you with me. There's probably still pieces of your remnant somewhere I can bring you back and we can work side by side."
"No!" she yelled. "There's no place above for psychopaths like us, Afton. When we want something, we take it. By any means necessary."
She put her finger up against his chest and looked him in the eye. "Use your second chance for good. Please."
"No." He slowly walked backwards, the piano's spontaneous cacophonous tones got louder.
Cassidy sighed and turned away from him. "Goodbye, William Afton." Then she faded away as the mascot began to twitch again, unable to rest.
He walked further backwards towards the door and shed one tear, remembering all the past years of his history as he turned around to start a new chapter.
